What are some good ideas for breakfast to impress someone? I want to cook something for a friend but he lives in an area where all the restaurants for dinner are better than anything I could ever make, so I figure breakfast is my only option.

I really like umeboshi. I pack it in the center of my rice balls, and sprinkle the outside with a little yuzu salt.
Sometimes I feel like it is too salt, but maybe this is because the Japanese diet has less sodium in it overall.

Agreed OP. Having tried both I can say that Twisties easily shit all over Cheetos. More crunch, more flavour, less airy.

Bonefish and the other restaurants in the same company aren't too bad, leagues better than olive garden or Fridays. Just get a steak or something, the coconut pie thing is also okay for dessert.
