Ok, so I've been kind of tangentially following this whole business, and it seems that there's a chance that vanilla servers might be a thing. So assuming the following:
-official vanilla servers get added
-they're not complete shit
Would it be worth it for someone who never played WoW to play? I feel like I missed out on Blizzards prime games and never really played Warcraft 3, Diablo 2, or WoW at all. That's one of my biggest vidya related regrets, but I've hesitated going back and playing those because fans of every series seem to have been disappointed by modern Blizzard, and that disappointment seems to culminate in WoW.
If Vanilla servers are added with expansion progression then you should jump in with friends and experience the journey everyone else had

Mods have been faggots lately. I have a 27" Panasonic CRT tv I got a few years ago that I player older consoles on, it's got component, composite, and s-video.
I'll even play my ps3 on it sometimes.
