I've always liked the idea of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne taking place in the same universe. My personal theory is that Dark Soul 1 2 & 3 all take place chronically first in the timeline. Demon Souls is set in some point in the Age of Dark. With the First Flame gone, pyromancy has completely died out, but soul magic is still going strong. Demons are called demons because a few of them seem to resemble the chaos demons of old legends. Bloodborne is set even further in the timeline, to the point where even soul magic has been forgotten. Maybe Bloodborne is set during the period know as the Age of Deep Sea in DaS3.
