Why was Palpatine referring to Anakin in the third person? He's right there, he's speaking right to him. Why didn't he say "I have no doubt that this boy is your son" It would have made more sense.

I have yet to see anyone praise Rey and actually discuss her character, instead saying she is 'cool' or 'cute'. Say what you will about Finn's motivation, but at least he has an actual character. When I walked out of the movie last night, all I could think of when it came to Rey was 'wow, she sure is good at everything!' Can anyone give an actual character trait for Rey that isn't 'good at stuff'?
JJ Abrams just doesn't understand female mythological archetypes so he had no idea how to craft a character for her in this context.
The similarities are astounding.

Say what you will about the rest of the movie -- the mary sue, the composition, the parroting of ANH, but Boyega was clearly the most charismatic presence on the screen (other than Harrison Ford of course).
Even though the dialogue he was given was startlingly sub-par at times, his lines were well-delivered and well-acted. I love Oscar Isaac in other things but he was pretty lackluster in this whereas Boyega immediately won me over.
