Okay, seeing as /v/ refuses to talk about video games, I'll ask you guys.
Who was in the wrong here?
O-okay then.. ;_;

/tg/ is a slow board, and you only gave it 6 min. The last thread on /tg/ was last posted in 3 hours ago. Give it some time.

Technically neither of them.
ITT: You guys give me rolls, I turn them into superheroes.
To start out, I'm going to need seven 1d100 rolls to get a feel for our cape's physical and mental faculties!
If this post ends in evens he's a he, odds, a she.
Rolled 19, 58, 14, 57, 71, 43, 2 = 264 (7d100)

All 7 in one go, decisive!
So our hero has typical fighting ability, excellent agility, typical strength, excellent endurance, remarkable reason and intelligence, excellent intuition, but feeble willpower.
I'm gonna need 3d100 to figure out our hero's weakness!
>>46515008
A bit quicker, and we could've had a real motherfucker of a hero.
Which chapter should I paint. Raven Guard or Raptors?

I'm personally a fan of Dead/Gone (Pure bounce in red? Whaaat?) and Fury Charm and Jhoira's Timebug and Clockspinning (colored interaction with the exile zone? You fucking what m8?)
I also like Glittering Wish and Spawnsire of Ulamog, which interact not with the game itself but the actual players property. That's nutty to me.

Not surprising, you have to have something wrong with you to actually enjoy chess.

Most intellectuals and artists have some sort of mental illness. This is nothing new.

Nobody is sure how the end came, but they are sure as hell know of what came after it.
This is the post apocalypse, a world where your greatest dreams haunt you and your wildest nightmares will come true.
A world of men and mutants, of Artificial Intelligence and terrible monsters, of good and bad with everything in between, of previous sciences and greed taken to now old and but still perverse heights. Here the dead walk, the living fight, and the gods laugh all the harder.
Now however its a new beginning and here you will...

Not like we have much better to do.
We all know that GMs shouldn't railroad characters, but is it ok if they railroad players?
Only with active consent.
>>46509987
It kind of defeats the purpose, but sure, I guess.
>>46509987
What, like the GM has the players tied up sitting around the table, forcing them to play?
>"Roll to see if rocks fall"
>"But you did things to me last time my character died."
>"And it'll be worse if you don't roll, now roll to see if rocks fall"
What, like that?
i want to play a LG paladin who is honor bound to obey his code of ethics, as dictated to him by the CN deity living in his brain.
which alignment do i write on the character sheet?
Deity has to be at least 1 step from paladin alignment.
>>46509145
Don't. Just... Don't. Its insulting to schizophrenics, it wont come off like you are imagining.
I love pressing ones limits in roleplay, but I've seen this attempted and it will inevitable piss off the group.
Ln as lawful neutral means acting to your code of ethics, but your actions are for your own (in this case your god)
I'm staring a 5e games soon where the players are going to be Lvl 0 slaves with only racial traits at the start of the game. I'm doing this as a way to help party cohesion as my players like to play a variety of alignments and viewpoints. I feel being brothers and sisters in chains is a good way to make the characters have some attachment to each other. The characters won't be gladiatorial slaves. They will be more like day laborers, at least at the start, they might be transferred depending on behavior. I highly doubt that it will be more than two sessions before...

Yup. Here's one for 2E.

>doing this as a way to help party cohesion
You may have already talked about starting this way with them, but have you considered having the party make characters as a group?
Most recently I made a few that were distinctive but connected as a GM, then told the players to choose from the pile.
Though it had mixed results at first reception, optimism is high, and the group can definitely work together if they play their characters right while still having those fun points...

You are Palla Seiard, and you are currently trying to survive a dragon attack.
You quickly manage to dodge out of the way of the black dragon's breath and quickly compose yourself, looking at the beast in front of you with a sharp glare.
Considering how you defeated a dragon before, that was a sheer stroke of luck, but now? Now you weren't so sure how you were going to pull this off.
Your disciples, however, are trying to distract the winged lizard by making noises and attacking it from behind.
Shit.
What do you do?

Thank you so much man, I honestly didn't think I would get anything back on this. My group are going to enjoy this I think.
I don't know if this is the right place to discuss this. I haven't seen any threads on it while lurking.
I started my collection last week. Got the core set and "taking the black" plus "on the road to winterfell".
Any advice for deckbuilding or any good videos to watch people playing and learn myself?
I've played a couple of melee games with the mrs but this is my first proper LCG I could never get into Magic, Netrunner etc

OCTGN is a good place to play online, and is simply a nice resource for deckbuilding.
Team Covenant might be a good place to find articles/videos.
The board game general might offer a more stable platform for discussing the game. Dunno if enough of /tg/ plays to keep a thread alive.
>>46508230
I watched a few of the Team covenant videos but they talk really fast and just gloss over the cards and there's a few Tournament games posted.
I'll try board game general though as well. This is sliding pretty quickly
