Quick /tg/, I need 100 ideas for themed dungeon rooms. It's fine if they're vague, as long as they give some general idea of what the room will be like.

Here's a few examples:
1. Trial of Swamp
2. Haunted Library
3. Tainted Reliquary
4. Undead Grove
5. Tomb of the Myconids

I literally just pulled those few out of my ass, but I'm sure /tg/ can come up with more interesting concepts. If you want, feel free to explain what the room could contain.

The room resembles a fine dining room from an 18th century mansion. Instead of a table, though, is a big red button on a pedestal surrounded by chairs. When pushed, the doors to the room swing shut and lock, and the room begins to fill with poisonous gas.

Well, got that. That and some of those intellect devourers and then also the floaty one that's a brain with a beak and tentacles.

More like, odd constructions or little flavor things I could throw in.

I'll have a big empty pool at some point that was once for an elder brain.

I'll never understand why people expect "balance" in a cooperative game based around stories that's just for fun. Either go play vidya games or get over your "muh sords" penis envy.

>What sort of spooky things can they find in there?
Not a whole lot. The thing about the cold war is that it stayed cold. There was never any reason for anybody to use those bunkers for anything other than practice exercises.
Your adventurers will probably find lots of provisions and possibly arms and ammunition.
The "creepiest" you might drop on them is silly propaganda, telling people not to be afraid of the A bomb or never to trust the commies.

Cold war bunker from which country?

Spooky shit can be old NBC suits in unexpected places, looking like theres somebody in them. Or maybe have somebody dead inside. Strange stuff leaking from strange pipes. Asbestos and mold than can wreck your lungs. Rats scurrying around. Junkies. Hobos. Cultist shrines.
>>

>I fancy having my players trapped inside an abandoned Cold War bunker.
like what >>46502437 said, these bunkers were never used, so with the exception of some crazy vagrant they aren't likely to find anything particularly dangerous inside. But, with that said, if you do some creative descriptions you may be able to convince the players that this bunker would make the perfect base of operations for their PCs. Which means you can get all kinds of plot-hooks out of them trying to gather the money and resources to first get it into a livable condition as well as additional improvements and additions.

>Introduction:

You honestly can't quite believe your ears right now. Three days removed from beating up some wrestler moonlighting in a Real Bout tournament ("Tsunami Tsuyako") and less than 24 hours after some weird biker chick gifted you some cash and a business card ("Fiona Graves), you called the number and have been given an opportunity to book a try-out to become a professional wrestler... OK, it's not exactly The King of Fighters and you've already got a lot on your plate already with work and classes at the dojo, but knowing you've got options is nice. Hell, knowing that somebody liked how silly you were in that costume on Friday night, or thought you had "The Look" is reward enough. (You're quite self-conscious about your looks in spite of your rugged upbringing).

Well, back to reality... You quickly tell Fiona on the other end of the line "Can I call you back?" and hang up just as you hear her say "No" in that odd accent of hers (Definitely Eastern European to your ear). A punch to your arm from Alair shows how mad she is at your tardiness.

"What the hell 'Lair?"

"The juicer's stuck, the Wheatgrass thing is broken and you've been out there for like twenty minutes" she whines as you clock back in, customers starting to fill into the place for a rare "Lunch Rush".

Damn, you didn't even notice the time fly by out there... You start by cleaning out most of the Wheatgrass "Gunk" that can get stuck in there after a while (Again, not a problem if people actually DID THEIR FUCKING JOBS FOR ONCE! God!) and get it going again, but the primary juicer the cafe uses is terminally damaged; You'll have to call up the owner and get him to get some techies out here to fix and replace it A.S.A.P... By the time you're done firing up the back-up mixer you're behind on the orders again and stay nearly half an hour later than usual just to deal with them all.

Oh, if only you were as clever as the gangsters that built this place; Charging a premium price for everyday shit, but just letting the customers assume everything's organic when it's not? What a racket! ... God, you hate people sometimes. Or at least the greedier side of human nature. You finally bust out of there before another wave of the lunch rush crashes into the place and drive a few blocks to a low-key parking lot to call Fiona back.

"You, know you're the first girl we've had call us twice" she says, clearly pissed off at you giving her the cold shoulder an hour or so earlier.

>A. "It was my fault; I should've waited a little later to talk business."

>B. "I was busy managing a restaurant; My time is precious."

Previously: The western continent has been undergoing intense colonisation from the White Republic, the Sunset Alliance and the Kaichou Empire. Internally, we've worked on improving stability in the provinces, especially among the non-whites. In the east, the Pajit Empire has conquered the Prizzid Principalities, while our attempts at allying with the Ramki Kingdom have been unsuccessful.

The Western continent - we've colonised the northeastern parts of this large landmass, as well as two islands to the northeast(Richfort and Beaver Dam). The local economy is doing well as we've gained access to a good variety of natural resources and have developed our infrastructure. The chinks of the SA have settled the former Sashki lands, while the Kaichou continue their expansion in the southeastern parts of the continent, utilizing darkskin slaves to a large extent.

I should probably make a list for them or something, but here's off the top of my head right now:
Historically, our people have had many heroes, stretching back hundreds of years to the days when we sought refuge in the place we now call Cavehome - warriors, leaders, healers, thinkers, creators - the first rangers, who fought a great white bear; the first blacksmiths; the warriors who first fought against the feen nomads; the first great leaders of the early Council;
Of the ones I've given names - Oofnarr, the prophet who first reformed our religion into what it is today from the island of Volcania and gave us his Prophecy;
Eyerd - the First Admiral, a great explorer and naval pioneer, founder of the Admiralty
Ayms - the second Prophet, the first man to climb to the top of the world's tallest peak, founder of the Grand Temple of Wind, also an explorer and leader
About 90 years ago from the current point we had the First Spiral war - the President, Prime Minister and most of our top leaders were assassinated, just as Pajit, Kafi and Hassein forces were invading from all sides. Three great leaders took charge and led us to victory - the generals Miks and Taras and High Admiral Lars.
As a people who value education, history and practically worship our ancestors, we honor the memory of our great heroes and all the nameless warriors who made their success possible.

Where I am from there's a tale about a sea giant called the Baloz I Zi that would come out of the ocean to steal cattle, kill men and steal women and was basically unstoppable, it's about 18ft tall dressed head to toe in black steel armor and rides a huge horse also dressed in armor. It wields a javelin, that it could throw up to 300 yards and and create a dust cloud 20 yards in diameter, and a razor sharp sword in the other hand. He also had a lance that "could transfixed all those in his path" wha never that means. He dies to the hero, Gjergj Eliz Alia due to fairy tale b.s. but he's pretty crazy menace till then

I want to update the Laundry rules, They're plain old CoC/BRP with some fluff additions and I want it to do more. I have been using the Madness Meter from Nemesis (no isolation track) and was very satisfied with how it handles vulnerable characters.

But Laundry isn't as deadly and the organization compensates for a lot of the usual CoC party enders. In that spirit I don't need a madness system to render complete decay but to illustrate mission strain.

I like the new DG crunch. The kill damage is great. The skill list is comprehensive. And the sanity is just the right mix of mental HP and flavor aid. Not sure what to do with bonds though. Laundry agents don't have failing families. And to just make everyone pick aspects of the job for bonds seems lame.

I like how maxed out hardened notches affect stats and skills in the new UA. Still considering that. Might be overly complex, but it would provide just the kind of mission influencing san damage...

Anyway, also getting into the magic system. Basically all I want PCs to have is computational magic where POW depends on the device and phones only do lvl 1 spells. Now to keep it interesting and in flavor with Stross I was thinking about apps as spells. I don't want to have it like DnD where there is one spell of each functionality, and if you see it you know what it does. Instead I want to give the players OFCUT with gimped lvl1 spells that can then be improved by them or the department issuing the software.

For instance Entropy Manipulation can do a lot of things from invisibility to burn or freeze attacks. But instead of Entropy Manipulation lvl 1 'see book' I'd give them a small darkness field that gets updated to a shimmering mirror next mission, then someone discovers it could also block sound, but not at the same time... So there would eventually be something like 10 different apps for one 'spell', increasing in power and branching in functionality.

Also I'm not sure mission budget is all that great a handle. It's the only thing really limiting support services. But the only bad stuff that can happen is a limited choice of downtime activities and eventually a pay cut, not really something that comes up.

Using Incarnum/Akasha on a warforged, refluffed it all to magitek. Veils/Melds became modifications to his own body (Manticore Belt, for example, was a brace of cluster rockets), binds were overcharge points, and essentia was power allotment

And now for my own question: /pfg, what do you think a Wisdom based, completely Ex Initiator would look like? Int based initiators work with things like warder, where you have a master strategist or polymath where it's a scientist. Cha based could be a leader of men or the brash daredevil (both warlord, in my mind).
Wisdom only has on truly Ex example with the Myrmidon, the professional soldier drawing on years of experience. But what else do you see from a Wisdom based warrior who DOESN'T channel some kind of supernatural power (Ki, or the inner magic of mystics)?
