well you can't buy it off the store page.
At least I can't yet

Hey there. I'm making a Kill Team Heralds of Ruin army for my first time getting into 40k. I decided to give back a bit to /tg/ and I'm painting and fluffing them as the Hua Yuan Exterminators that /tg/ created. Painting is going well and I've built most the models. The only problem is there are no regiment rules for them. Anyone wanna help me work on them?

The first thing I thought we should do is think of the regiment bonus. I was hoping we could capture the uniqueness of the reigments but I wasn't sure which way to go. To start I'll post a few examples.

Cadian Shock Troopers (free) Located at the edge of the Eye of Terror, Cadia forms the first line of defence against Chaos incursions. Models in a Cadian Shock Trooper team gain the Hatred (Chaos Space Marines) special rule. In addition, you may take 'Whiteshield Squads' which use the same rules as Conscript Squads but gain +1 to both BS and Leadership at an additional 5 pts cost for the entire Squad.

Death Korps of Krieg (2 pts per model) Indoctrinated from birth in the martial traditions of the Korps, all Death Korps soldiers are experts with the bayonet and are die hard warriors. All Death Korps models gain +1 WS and the Stubborn special rule.
>>
The only thing we have to go off of is the Only War Statblock. I'll drop it here for future reference.

How would you make a game based on the SCP Foundation? Ideally it should capture the fear of trying to capture some reality warper out in the field as an agent or surviving a containment breach as a D-Class.

So, 5e's classes are pretty close to balanced! Not perfect, of course. But it seems like the only ones that need real help are Monk and Ranger.

What's the simplest way to fix those guys? For example, would:

>Monk: increase die type of all weapons and unarmed attacks by one step

be enough?

Any other houserules people use? Personally, I don't use feats. That's not a houserule, really, they're supposed to be optional. But my players are new, and it seems like more fun for them to get a little better at lots of things will stat boosts than to become increasingly specialized. They're enjoying the roleplaying, anyway. The one guy who loves playing with rules has plenty to do messing with spell selection.

The Monk is bad meme is shitty and you should feel shitty for believing it.
>I don't use feats
I give up actually. If you're a new GM fair enough, disable feats until you're comfortable, but giving players more options that are clearly optional and easy to get is not a bad thing, and at some point a player will want to use feats and will be annoyed it's not allowed.

Also at least go to the correct thread, how do you not know what generals are >>46689138
>>
Rebalancing classes isn't what I user house rules for. My house rules are for falling damage, xp distribution, and NPC morale. Character creation stuff is just restricted to things that make sense in-setting.
>>
Animal companions become NPCs. Falling is dangerous after certain conditions are met. No charisma skill is going to make up for you being on obvious jerk, unless that's a part of your tactic.
>I think sense motive/bluff are useful and also poorly-designed workarounds for people who can't act

A while ago I had an idea drift into my head at work - HFY normally revolves around humans being the best at X because "Human" and it's normally because of our ability to wave our dicks around in galactic themed fiction.

What if the reason we where damn good at something was due to an ability or effect utterly out of our control?

I'll set out (and expand upon) the idea I had as an example.

Humanity are addicted to exploring the stars. Not because of our original abilities or drive to explore - but because of an extreme side effect that FTL travel has on the human brain.

We could never have predicted it because our drones and live animal tests never picked it up, nor did it have the same effect on Extra Terrestrial races when we eventually found them, but the activation and prolonged use of FTL drives (of seemingly any type) jams every single pleasure receptor in the human brain into overdrive and then locks them open - causing an unrelenting urge to keep moving, on a personal and galactic level.

Human beings are jittery, overenthusiastic creatures who cannot stay still - always moving, fiddling with their hands or replacement items such as trinkets. In space they keep moving ever outwards - their compulsion to "Jump" or "Boost" again means waves of scouts moving outwards in every direction, but few colonists.

All human colonies are developed using generation ships or seed AI's developing embryos on site - as to make sure any humans in the colony actually stay on the damn planet.

The fact Auriga III keeps jumping from place to place on the frontier is testament to that - an entire world with a 3 billion strong population devoted to building and then using planet sized jump drives.

Ironically they call it a "tourist world" - the "Planet with a thousand suns" but only aliens can visit it. Any humans who set foot on the planet and stay through a jump get hooked. Just like everyone else.

At this point, it's probably best not to go anywhere near HFY.

And your idea is really just the same problem most HFY has: an extremely juvenile attempt to classify humanity and ultimately just creating a new race, in your case the "ADD race", and calling them humans.

Is The Last Question an HFY story?

and i picked the wrong image. Great. at least my heart was in the right place. While we are at it, this case is longer than usual, i might break it in two thread.Might.

Case II: Bullet full of love

I always hated running calculations for the bills and what not. Many hire goblin accountants just for these tedious chores. I could make Pesk do all the work, sure. but i would rather do it myself.

I wasted a lot of greens on that Saturday:

-30$ went for the Cab...i really should buy a car.
-5$ went for that kid.
-20$ went for my spider friend
-50$ went for my faithful Imp

hmm, that is quite a lot ,115 $ to be exact. 985$ are not bad. Now what should i do with my not-so-fat stack of greens? it is not like another case would hop immediately after this one....

last time a civ was chosen and thus a megacorp remnant has finally awoken taking action in a much changed world. There some light scouting was performed and discovery of that they were not alone to have survived. Some tech was rediscovered but much sadness was felt at the realization of lacking resources meant that even with blueprints they wouldn't be able to make goods that compared to the old world. In the new world however their goods could not be beat unless you found a Think Tank remnant. A hero was discovered from our number the one in fact who came up with the idea of building a megatower into a mountain that was now your home.

Good luck your going to need it.

Do they have video games in the 41st millennium? Is it all F2P garbage?
>>
>>46705085
The Imperial Guard and some Space Marine chapters probably create video games like the US army does in order to help boost recruiting.
>>
>>46704793
I bet some planets have IG Joe Comic books about a DIVERSE TEAM with soldiers from every regiment of the Imperial Guard and their own wacky personalities and Codenames.

There are chainswords, and I presume some form of light saber type weapon, and there are power weapons.

Are there any high frequency/vibro blades in 40K? Owned by the Imperium, the Eldar, Tau or other?
18 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>46701133
in the first Horus heresy book, the combat blade used by the protagonist is described as having a button activation that causes it to vibrate white hot or some such
>>
>>46701133
Almost certainly somewhere.
Default, in the RPGs 'mono', as in monomolecular edge, can be applied as an upgrade to any primitive weapon and they're even cheaper than chainswords.
>>
>>46701133
Yeah, but they're not all that great. Case in point, Tona Criid has a vibro-knife in Necropolis. Considering she's just your average ganger, and they have trouble getting nice things, it's far from a power weapon -- if you know what I mean.

Try a Hitler-esque figure. Doesn't do any dirty work themselves, doesn't engage directly. It'll force the players to actually work to get at him, plus he'll be plenty scummy so they'll be motivated to. If your players are aligned with evil in some way, though, the villain could probably be another band of adventurers hell bent on stopping the group's reign of terror.
