Are Space Marines the blandest faction in WH40K? Dog shit army that relies purely on ''heresy'' and ''for the emprah'' memery because they have nothing to offer who the fuck wants to play religious zealots? They are buzzkills. Everything is fucking sinful to them.

How do the Eldar view Emps?
Is he too mon'keigh?

He was the closest mon'keigh to being able to see past the end of his nose; I think there were even tentative alliance-talks?

"Then you murdered him and perverted literally everything he told you to do. Can't imagine why that would influence our opinion of you."
>>
>>46671692
Way too mon'keigh.
That's why they're making their own Emperor. With blackjack! And hookers!
>>
>>46671771
Why didn't the eldar create their own god-emperor from their own psykers across all the worlds in their extremely vast dominion anyway?

The emperor himself was made when humans were millennia away from space travel, shouldn't the eldar have known about chaos forming at the same time and acted?

Miellewds-guy, hoping for some Tanis lewds.
I believe we were going to get her some earrings, an check out some Pet stores to see what Harnesses and Pet Accessories look like.

When you think about it, we've been living here for years and never bothered to look in a pet store or even looking stir status screens despite having Pets for so long.
We have not been a good master. We need to think of our Pets more.

Is magic proof of the gods?

If the magic in the name of one god works, does it make the other gods false?
21 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
Depends on the setting.
>>
>>46671036
Magic is encompassed by Physics in the most technical sense, it is the science behind a certain form of Not!Energy and how it interacts with the world, it is no more indicative of a true God than the fact that the rock falls when you drop it.

If magic works in the name of one god, this means that the god likely exists, not necessarily though. It also does not disprove the existence of any of the other gods, provided your definition of god does not force a singular being into the role.

These two assertions are true regardless of setting unless you're really playing around with logic.
>>
>Is magic proof of the gods?
Not necessarily. Anything can be attributed to anything, that doesn't make it automatically proof. I could claim apples are proof of the apple god, but that wouldn't make me correct. I'd have to actually establish that the gods exist before I can start attributing things to them.

>If the magic in the name of one god works, does it make the other gods false?
I don't see why that would ever be the case.

Is it bad GMing to intentionally cause conflict between PCs?
27 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
No, why would it be? Interpersonal conflict is good for roleplay as long as the players can separate IC and OOC conflict.
>>
>>46670614
Depends on the system and type of game being run.

If you push for party conflict in a group of players who are all friends who just want to wreck monsters in a little effort D&D dungeon romp, you're a bad DM. If you don't push for party conflict in Paranoia, you're a bad DM.

>The analogy I make sometimes with board games is it's the only form of entertainment where we ask you to take sort of a reading comprehension test followed by an oral defense before you can start. So the analogy is, if you wanted to like "Hey I heard there's this new show on Netflix, I wanna watch it", and then you have to spend 20 minutes reading and answering questions, and then you get done and you start playing, and because you didn't answer the questions completely right, because you were in a hurry, one guy speaks Spanish and a couple of scenes are missing, and you get done and you're like "I don't think I like this show"...

You can make this analogy for literally any piece of media. If you don't learn things right in a video game tutorial or skip levels, shits not going to look right. Same deal if you skip chapters in a book or fast forward past 10 to 15 minutes of a movie. Hell, if I skip the first part of a song to the singer screaming random gibberish because I missed his build up and previous verses I'd probably think the song wasn't that good at all.

Case I: First Steps

Ah, the great city of Old paradise, where one day you are on the top of the top and the next you will find yourself in an alley-throat slit wide open.

It is up to me figure out which is which and who and who. They call me Grim as a homage to the slick guy who reaps them all. I don't like it but hey, it does the job.

It ain't easy, you have to look for clues, ask some witnesses and the whole Jam...sometimes i end up with a bullet or two in my noggin but when i catch the bad guy(s)....man oh man, it feels good, it is like my own version of Ash.

It was a Saturday, a long one for me since i spent it rearranging my new office. Pesk, my personal Imp, flew through the window. Imps tend to have a short life span...20 years tops but Pesk gave the middle finger to the slick guy on numerous occasions, he is 26. I made a contract with him since nobody wanted a grizzly old Imp....and because said contract was cheap as hell.

"Master Grim! I got a case from the Bluemoons! Our very first case!" he had to sit down, otherwise his tiny heart would burst.

If you don't know, Bluemoons are the cops of Old Paradise. They leave the scraps for freelancers like myself...that and they rarely deal with any case with humans in it. In fact, I never see any humans in Bluemoon patrols.

Personally, I don't mind these fleshy bastards. they are a minority....a vocal one but a minority nonetheless.

"Where is it?" I asked, I was still fresh by then. Eager to straight jump into anything without a drop of reason.

Pesk scratched his head, He was sometimes slow...i couldn't blame him. i simply waited for an answer.

"Right, Idol's square, near the silver fountain. Good luck, Master Grim."

I was still green, fresh and naive. I opened it for the first time...the watchdog pocket mirror, a gift from an old friend. One of kind that trinket was. The glass was darker than my own hollow orbits. Its whispers were something out of this world "choose a persona" it said.

I could see them one by one; a hellhound with a keen sense of smell...the one who could track you to the end of the world.

A Golem of old. Thick skin and thicker mind but can reduce you and me to shattered bones.

A Human Seer, who is worth hundreds of old books and tome

A Silverfolk, the one with cunning tongue. None escapes his charms

A lone gazer, who can see everything around them, None escapes their eyes

I had to choose, The mirror doesn't take no for an answer.

The mirror Blessed/Cursed me with knowledge, it shut itself soon afterwards. I never tampered with the mirror until i hit the second case....

I remember having some trouble in placing my .38 perfectly, it took me a couple of minutes to slip the damn thing like i wanted. The office swallowed all i have. I had my .38, a couple of bullets, a pen, a very important notebook, some cigs, a crappy lighter, some identification paper and 300$ plus some change....

It was midnight,I ordered a cap, the streets were flooded with a mixture of sewer and rain water. A silverfolk was driving this one. A young lad...50 maybe 60 years old. He didn't utter a word; he focused on the slippery road.

>Start a friendly conversation
>Check your notebook
>Say nothing
>Examine the interior of the cap
>Other
