What's with all the hate against narrative focused games? I mean, isn't the point of RPGs to make a collaborative story with some friends? Why are folks freaking out over some systems focusing on that aspect entirely?
Because autism.
Some people don't enjoy narrative games. They enjoy narrative, they just don't like having mechanics and rules for it, because it requires the players to think in a meta way rather than focusing entirely on getting in their characters' heads.
Because of "internet," the message "I do not enjoy this thing" gets translated to "I FUCKING HATE THING."
Autists, mostly.
Plus, people are more likely to shitpost about things they dislike than they are to take the time to write complimentary posts about things they enjoy.

Welp, it's time to tell Tenten that she lost the Kon bowl.
Your night of sleep is as restful as you ever remember getting, and you even manage to sleep in. An extremely rare occurrence for you. It's nearly noon when you drag yourself out of bed, and you head downstairs to find no customers in the restaurant at all.
As you wonder why, you make your way over to a meal that's been laid out for you and start eating. You can hear some noise from the kitchen, and eventually your uncle emerges with a basket in hand.
"Hey there, Kon. You're finally awake." he chuckles. "Well, you've earned the right to sleep in as much as you want, for sure. You're probably wondering why no one's here, huh? Well, I closed up for the day. I'm taking it off. I've got a date, you see?"
Your uncle smiles as he holds the basket up.
"Gonna spend a day at the park, and have a nice picnic!" he goes on. "Let me tell ya Kon, cooking has never steered me wrong. Tsume just can't get enough of me! Anyway, I'm running a bit late. Lock up for me when you leave, will ya? Oh and, good luck to you Kon."
Your uncle smiles and shoots you a thumbs up as he leaves.

I need good bants and cruel jokes for a character I'm making. He hates the pointy ears from all of his heart but I fall short in the creative field to come up with good insults.

Idk, the most racist of my characters were elves actually. Literally refusing to talk to even quarter-orcs and ready to put an arrow in them if they would ever dare to tresspass the borders of elven forests. Full bloods to be killed on sight, no matter if it's adult, baby in the cradle, or "I BE GOOD ORC PLZ NO KILL",
And human ones were far more racist towards half-orcs and tieflings than elves.
