Has there been any thought or work put into trying to bring the concept of Malal into Age of Sigmar?

Sets of Homebrew rules have been made for 40k and WHFB, so I've been wondering if it's possible to create a version of AoS rules for his fanmade units or hell, maybe even create new units to fit into AoS's lore.

So /gurpsgen/ I'm thinking about running a GoT/SoIaF game that's partially intended to introduce some new players to detailed harshly realistic GURPS combat.

Any advice?

Savage violence is a pretty damn solid way to play GURPS. I'd suggest 150 points with a generous 70 point disadvantage limit, but make them take at least one powerful enemy in common that could kill the fuck out of them if they are careless or stupid or unlucky.

Show them a few simple templates, like Big Strong Brute, noble swordsman, clever lady with sword, and doorstop.
>>
>>47466804
GURPS dose single duels pretty damn well. Throw them into one early to give a combat tutorial and some brutal fucking violence.

How would you stat the ability to return to an earlier point in your life, like loading/saving in a video game? Basically:

>upon saving, you create a set point in time and space that you can return to later
>upon loading, you return to that point in time and space, with the same items you had when you saved, but retaining your current set of memories
>you can only ever have one save file
>no one else "remembers" anything from the future, unless they have temporal inertia
>dying does not automatically return you to your save point, unless you have at least one extra life

Is it some form of Warp or Jumper? If it's a completely new advantage, how would you balance it?

Previously you met Devith and Chris, two men from Tabby's former hometown of Blakkaz apparently living in the ruins, and brought them aboard as your newest crew members. Tabby was able to say her farewells and was able to discover something exciting: her brother whom she hadn't seen in years was alive! You're unsure of where he could be, but there are only so many places he could be right now.

Later you had a chat with Kakei about the trade situation in Ao as well as the murder victim. Things got a little heated for a time, but nothing a little diplomacy couldn't fix. He also warned you to avoid any dealings with the local triad, citing that they are dangerous and untrustworthy.

Welcome back to Beast in the Sky Quest!

You have, counting the rest of today, two days left before work is done on the Vapor Cannon and three left on the commons room. You still haven't solved the murder, Tabby is still working on her "condition" and recently you learned that the government has mentioned your theft, though with very little elaboration.

It's around early afternoon, all your crew are aboard doing their own thing and you've got time to kill. What would you like to do?

I can't remember what we were doing.

Do we still have to stick around, or can we go? If we do, I guess we can do those flight lessons.
>>
>>47583137
You had just finished speaking to Kakei about trade, the murder and Neil/the triad. You can go where you please, but it'll be two more days before the Beast is done being worked on, so it'll have to stay in the city for now.

Also, your hangar hasn't been set up to launch your planes yet.

Pools of blood containing the bound souls of sorcerers who wished to attain greater power and immortality through binding their essence to the most arcane humour of the body. As blood was never meant to contain a soul, their pool gradually decays and requires replenishment. Several thousand years after the original ritual, the vampire brood lords over an planet-spanning darkened city dedicated to farming humanity, their bodies an amalgam of dead flesh and hydraulic cybernetics which their blood flows into.

What's your favourite published setting and why? Doesn't have to be D&D.

Personally I like the Realms. The sheer amount of published material means that the lore is plentiful. You can run pretty much anything you want. Players also seem to enjoy the familiarity of it.

Honestly? The setting of Otaria, in the Magic: the Gathering novels between Odyssey and Scourge.

It's basically remembered nowadays only for being a clusterfuck thanks to WotC switching up authors for every book, but reading those novels is what got me into fantasy in the first place, so the RPGs I run tend to have that Otarian flavor, even if a little.
>>
>>47569074
Homebrew all the way. Whenever I use published settings, I feel like that person who's taking someone else's work and making deviantart-tier fanfictions about it and it feels bad man. I know that's the POINT, but it still feels bad.
>>
>>47569074
I really like Dark Sun. It feels a lot like Robert E. Howard's Conan and Hyborea stuff, and is written for a system that I know. I like the twist on how reckless use of magic drains life, that sorcerer-kings are really powerful people your adventurers should not fuck with in the beginning, and the different take on traditional fantasy races. Not to mention how each sorcerer-king's city is modeled around a different ancient civilization.

I tried running a game for a group, but they got bored because they weren't able to cheese the shit out of the game system we were using (I'm a 4e fag turned 5e fag, and they were 3.X/Pathfinder fags). I just wish I could find someone running it so I could play...

If you don't already have some homebrew version with friends, follow the MTGO card pool and banlist (and please spread this to your friends that start playing with you). Currently the only place Pauper is officially supported by Wizards is online, and they have a card pool and banlist, therefore that is the format we should be using offline on paper as well, since decks and cards can transfer to games between each other with no confusion.

>WAHHH THATS TOO HARD WHERE...

The bottom left has a box, select MTGO Pauper, all cards in the card pool and banlist are taken into account.

If you have no local paper competition, but want to play a vast amount of Pauper, it can't be beat, even if it is a clunky GUI, you learn quickly.

Some good decks for newbies include but are not limited to:
>Burn
>Elves
>Goblins
>Stompy
>Slivers
>Affinity
>Mono U control

When we last left off, I had somehow managed to improvise a bomb out of a waterproof electric car battery to kill a bunch of fish.

Before that. I found this Raft Otter standing next to me in one of the rooms. He seems to like me at least, can't say I return it.

And even before that, I got trapped on this base that I was supposed to salvage. My co-worker is dead. There are shitloads of angry monsters swimming around. Most of the base is underpowered and not working. And my only reliable contact can only talk to me through Morse code.

The plan right now is to find the Chief Engineer's Keycard so I can unlock the bulkhead leading into security. That's why I did the thing with the bomb.

But most importantly, I seriously need a fucking cup of coffee.

>>
the bomb has been deployed, yes? and all the fish in that... improvised lake are dead, right? in that case it's time to put on the re-breather and any other swimming gear you have and go for a swim. maybe the otter will build a nice corpse-raft from all the fish in here.

I am interested in investing some extra money into a nice MTG deckbox and playmat so I felt like it would a good opportunity to create a thread discussing the peripherals you use while playing. Did you spend a little extra $$ to add a little bling to your game? Especially interested in custom goods/artwork (even if the artwork is borrowed from another artist).

I will never understand this. To me it just sounds like a scam. One of the greatest scams in the world considering how many get sold.
I got this Captcha wrong.

I need some /tg/-approved fantasy anime (or any animated show), but most of what I come across is too edgy or contrived.

I just what something basic, where the heroes are heroes, the castles are old, and wizards wear pointy hats. Doesn't have to be purely D&D European fantasy, but I'll take anything that feels like an honest to god proper noblebright adventure.

Hey folks. This is Mr. Blue Sky, lead developer for VeloCITY - The Wind in Your Hair, the Jet Set Radio-inspired homebrew involving barreling down hills at top speed without a motor and without a care. Long time no see under this moniker.

As always, to find the latest version of the rules, you can always download the PDF from the 1d4chan website at https://1d4chan.org/wiki/VeloCITY

I know it's been a long time since I've updated the system; the last update to the system was marked for last November. I apologize it's been so long since I've done anything with the system, at least on the surface. To make up for it, I've got a small update for you. I've added a bunch more sample scenes you can use for GMing, on top of proofreading and an extra music reference link on the title page. I know it may not be much, but I feel obligated to add at least something. I still love this project and am glad it's lasted as long as it has.

As always, any questions, stories, characters, suggestions, art and anything else are all welcome. I apologize again for the long delay, and I hope you enjoy!

Welcome everyone, new and old players alike! This is Tundra civ, a civ thread series in a fictional, non-fantasy setting where you play as the rulers of the White Republic, a nation in a world similar to our own.
Check out the pastebin for story, technologies, stats etc (updating it right now)

Previously on Tundra civ:
We spent a bit of time on internal development and strengthening our military, after which a series of important events took place which defined The Crisis of Summer in 1194 After the Exile. Negotiations between the Axis nations and the New Pajit Union were successful, which led to the last remnants of the Organisation being flushed out of hiding - or so we thought. What occured were a series of clashes, covert operations and terror atacks around the globe, during which the Organisation secured a key to a Vault underneath Vajni. From there our enemies unleashed a mighty warmashine - an enormous flying battleship, which we dubbed "the doomship". It was only through the sacrifices of many thousands of soldiers that we were finally able to bring the doomship down, just as it had entered the outskirts of Centerhold, our capital.

The doomship blasted a number of towns and cities on its way to Centerhold, which was its ultimate target. We were able to shoot it down before it could reach the Coucil Palace - it crashed in the southern industrial district, which was thankfully the first to be evacuated beforehand. Emergency responce crews are there and are working on putting out fires and rescuing any civilians who are still there.
Little has remained from the ship, its wreckage is strewn across the entire quarter.

Also, the world map's proportions aren't right, I make a new one every update, it's just there for a sence of relative locations.
The NPU was given parts of its former territory back, settlers were compensated for having to move away. The pro-white government of the NPU is being cooperative and abiding by the terms of the post-Great War treaties. They revealed the information they had on the Organisation, which led to the entire event chain afterwards in the last thread.
Currently the fate of the Four remaining Spirelords is unknown. The doomship crashed into Centerhold with no survivors.
