In general my creations are tied between mooks (i love them...but i also try to consider those disposable).

And VIPs, which are basically sapient beings that i accept as such.

But more importantly...now and then i create superweapons.

And by that i mean i have the lofty aspiration of creating things like..hmm remember how Cell from dbz was a really damn good creation? Or the Endbringers?

Apocalypse World is quite good and very versatile. It can run any kind of apocalypse you like, and anything from something out of Heavy Metal magazine, to something incredibly compelling. The best example of this to date for me is the actual play podcast of The Jank Cast playing Apocalypse World. Shit was amazing.

Turns out it was a mind controlled Beetle Fairy. Kill the thing that was controlling them and now you have a bunch of little bug people that view them as heroes.

Next, run a space campaign and allude to the PCs being important in their past.

You can either have them do what they want to it, or make it turn into something else.

It could encounter some sort of magic fuckery that turns it into a good luck charm, or maybe grant it the ability to pick things up and add odd trinkets to the inventory of whichever party member has it.

If they want to do something with it, they can upside the thing and use it as a pack animal or whatever. Just throw some hooks at them and see what they decide to make of it.

Getting back into the game after a 10 year hiatus. I want a cheap-ish deck that will stand up to the current meta. I've been eyeing the Monarch structure deck that will be released at the end of January, but I want to get into locals in the meantime.

Currently I own a Six Samurai deck, and a bunch of older structure decks (Spellcasters Judgement, Warrior's Triumph, Invincible Fortress, etc.) and a shitton of old common cards.

I see a lot of Bujin cards in my area and I hear those are a solid deck for the budget player.

Any ideas?

Also it's worth mentioning that my Six Samurai is essentially the SD straight outta the box, plus the synchro Shi En, so there is no 3 kagemusha + asceticism that makes it the tier 2 deck it used to be.

Well yeah, that's why you also get one physical attribute 1 dot higher than you think you need it at, and get yourself a legacy.

That one extra dot is basically +3 mana per day.

Also legacies with a primary arcanum are great for giving you another category of spells you can cast from within, without needing to spend 1 mana.

Also cast within the "free mana" section of a Hallow.
That free point of mana soaks up the cost as well.

It is really sad. I'm really not sure why they aren't more popular.

I feel like they would have done better if it had been possible to make an all-kroot army back in earlier editions, taking hounds as fast attack, Krootox as heavy support, and giving them an HQ option. It might not have been strong, but the ability to make an independent army out of them would have gone a long way.

I find it funny that the Kroot, aesthetically, fit into 40k better than the Tau but are not liked nearly as much.

Because giving kroot pipe rifles with pointy bits on them was a mistake. They should've been equipped like the Vespid are. The reason neither of them get any love is because they're not giant robots that decide games and cost 2 days pay.
