I don't know what to tell you, man; there are plenty of hardcovers out there from 4e, 5e, even the 2050 book got a hard cover.
http://www.amazon.ca/Shadowrun-Core-Rulebook/dp/1936876515
They are pre-errata, unless they printed a second run, but they're there.
I want to play a melee-oriented human Street Samurai. What do I get to make sure I don't suck completely? Don't have to be optimized up the ass, but good enough to pull his own weight. No adepts, just good old chrome and biomods.

>special edition hardcover
>seeing a second print run
I know they exist. Point is, I don't want something with such poor editing quality, and CGL first print runs are invariably crap. Heck, I've toned it back to relying on others having a copy of books for SR, based on editing quality alone.
Finally the king of formats has it's third and final GP of the year.
Maximum cap has been reached a month before apparently.
Nice to see the first Legacy GP since DTT got banned.
Come here Legacy bros, let's chat about the comfiest format ever, tell us which decks are you playing, which decks are you testing, if you have any homebrew maybe?
I just want Miracles to take it so we can finally ban SDT
Imperial Painter fucker reporting.
I don't know any better feeling than Blood Moon turn 1.

I really need to know how to get this red done.
anyone have any ides?
>>43518680
Pretty sure GW will sell a pricy painting guide after the thing drops~
>>43518700
I sure hope so, because I really need it.
/tg/, I need your help.
I'm trying to get ideas for some worldbuilding, and I'm drawing blanks, so far.
Specifically, I'm trying to avoid the Tolkienesque or a Eurasian base with a slightly different coating.
While I don't mind borrowing from real-life cultures, I want to go for something with a pervasive weird- or otherness, intrinsic to the setting as a whole, not just one region.
Do you know of any movies/books/(web)comics/music that might help stoke the creative fires?
Alternatively, what weird worlds have you played in?

What system are you using?
Is the quest serious or light hearted or other?
How many races?
Is magic available?
>>43518628
Read Lovecraft's "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath."
>>43518665
It's more about the world building itself, rather than for a specific game/campaign, but I'd say that magic and supernatural creatures exist.

Will do.

Pandemic was what finally did it. I'd played Catan and CAH from time to time, and they were fun, but it was Pandemic which grabbed me and my friends and got us to start devoting time to the hobby in general.

Nice haul, you have enough paint for all that dakka?
Is he the perfect follower of Chaos Undivided?
Khorne:
>Blood for the Blood God!
Yupp.
He's a serial killer, he likes to kill people just for shits and giggles.
Tzeentch
>"Do not ask which creature screams in the night. Do not question who waits for you in the shadow. It is my cry that wakes you in the night, and my body that crouches in the shadow. I am Tzeentch and you are the puppet that dances to my tune..."
Still ok.

I think your reasoning for Nurgle is a little bit of a stretch. You could have used his platonic love for Will and Abigail and desire to make a family with them instead, although that's more of a secondary thing for Nurgle.
Also for Slaanesh you forgot that by word of the director Hannibal is 'omnisexual'
>>43518014
Ok, a cultist, then.
A perfect cultist.
>>43518035
>Nurgle
He desecrates bodies, biology, and has pretty heretic ideas about life and death.
>Slaanesh
Yep, this omnisexual is a good word.
What would /tg/ suggest for a campaign based on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD show? I've been looking at a few options, but none of them have really fit the theme of the show/were actually any good. So, what does /tg/ suggest?
>>43517848
GURPS.
>>43517854
Looked into it. GURPS is awesome, but I don't think it really fits with the feel of the show.

Mutants and Masterminds
Your chapter discovers gravity technology on your homeworld, it was hidden away in an ancient city with structures that are both man and alien.
within the following weeks the AdMech, Inquestion and other factions try to get in contact with your chapter to get this powerful tech.
Who do you aline with?
Ordo Excorium
burn xeno
>>43517318
None. I wreck it because it's xeno garbage and my chapter already has a handful of grav bikes.
Both admech and ordo hereticus.
The admech to assess the viability and purity of the machines ( i would prefer to know if my hoverbike works and will not sprout demon tentacles before riding it), the ordo to check of these weird ruins apparently left by heretics.
Both will be informed of the others presence, to ensure they do not pull any funny stuff.
I had an idea for a Christmas gift for a friend. We play D&D at his house every week, and we typically just use paper towel for coasters so as not to get water on all our papers. (He doesn't care about the table; let's not turn this into a troll thread.)
I thought, hey, he's the kind of fellow who would appreciate a set of kick-ass coasters, and it'd be something that got used all the time. So I wondered, does /tg/ know of any such thing? Even something vaguely medieval, like heraldic shields, would be pretty good.
Also, gaming gift thread general?
>coasters
Never. No. You do not understand the kind of forces you are dealing with here.
>>43517258
You could try to find a few blank cork coasters like in your picture and google for any laser engraving services in your area.
The old TSR Dragon logo would look great on one of those.
Personally I would try to make one themed after each game system you played together.
>>43517258
Dr p ending on your what game that is being played, a set of dice, a mini box, or a module could all be fun gifts. My group mostly uses phones over paper for character sheets so coasters are no issue. I don't approve of digital character sheets personally desu but it's whatever.
"Fantasy Flight Games change it a bit saying by adding that the first-born daughters often join as well, to cease the angry outburst from the female community who wish to don bearskin hats and speak like they're in Red October."
There is nothing sacred for them. Nothing.
My butt burns.
There is no place to hide.
Expound pls anon
>>43517196
In terms of Vostroyans, in the codex, it was ALWAYS First Born, not First Born Sons.
GW at no point made a distinction of gender, and any that was made after was a fuck up by whomever said so, and your personal idiotic assumption.

Long story short I'm going to a mental ward for about 5 months minimum soon, and I'd like to bring the gift of Tabletops with me, which game isn't going to cost me $800 but also not be a shitty system?
>>43517086
Your phone or something thta can be used to browse the internet.
I wouldn't want to play games with anyone in a mental hospital. I'm sure they're nice poeple and all but there is a good reason they're there.

There are plenty of affordable RPGs, but without knowing what kind of game you're looking for, it's hard to make a recommendation. Savage Worlds has the advantage of being relatively flexible, with tons of settings for it. Barbarians of Lemuria is a nice rules-light swords and sorcery game that uses 2d6, which is handy because d6s are ubiquitous and easily replaced should you lose them. *Shrug* Does this mean you'll be gaming with crazy people? Are you a crazy person? Because if so, I hear that Mazes...
