Hey anons
Merry christmas
But really though. I just got XWING for christmas, and I was wondering what kinds of ships I should pick up. I got the TFA starter, so two Ties w/ shields and a X-Wing. I'm thinking of getting an A wing and maybe a Tie Defender or Tie Interceptor.
Any in particular that are really good? Any to avoid like the plague?
>>44369556
The best bet for the defender and interceptor is to get the Imperial Aces/Veterans and single ships. They give you all the pilots for it and some very tasty upgrades and titles. Though you do get a bomber with Veterans. But it really depends if you want to do.
>>44369556
Depends on what faction(s) you want to play. If you're playing Imp, you buy an Interceptor or you prove yourself a faggot. And then you buy Imp Aces and run three of the bastards.
I may or may not be biased as a TIE pilot for the 501st.
But Defenders are nice but boring. If you're a tier-monkeying faggot, Phantoms are always capable of getting you punched in the face. And if you want TIE Swarms, you need the TIE pack for Howlrunner.
For Rebs, I don't really know but Poe with BB-8 is an OP fuckface that you can build the rest of your list around. A-Wings are nice and operate much like an even angrier Interceptor, and Reb Aces get you one of those and the beef cake B-Wings.
If you're a tremendous faggot and an Imperial, you'll get a Lambda Shuttle to put Vader into it and create the Anal Reaming Insta Crit Machine.
And then if you're a Scumbag like me, you'll want Most Wanted for the bugzappers and a bulldog Y-Wing, plus one or two Scyks and at least one StarViper. You can add in one of your favorite Bounty Hunters here, too. I particularly love Bossk.
>>44369556
Tie Phantom is give a good punch for the points, something the Imps tend to lack.
How do I make an interesting plains setting? I'm used to forests and such and wanna look for something a bit new to me. The inhabitants and cultures I can handle, but how do I make something like this geographically interesting and possibly fun to play in? I've got everything else in my setting map figured out except for this part. Any advice?
Think of the American Midwest, but in a high fantasy setting. That's the kind of feel I'm going for.
>On the surface, the Plains of _____ are benign even dull by most adventurers standards
>They are wrong
>Because the flat expanse of these Plains is actually accumulated dirt and topsoil on top of a massive extraplanar fortress that crashed here long ago
>The Plains here are riddled with enhances to dungeons inside this fortress
>Local cultures have established cults and religions around its relics
>Legend tells that those who can find the "citadel key" can make the fortress rise/fly/plane shift again

For a thousand years, the Kaga family had ruled over the lands, bringing peace, prosperity, and before untold Culinary knowledge to all. Guarded and aided by their elite men, the Iron Chefs, the dynasty lived. But 40 years ago, Dacascos, pretender to the throne, seized control in a violent clash with the aging Takeshi Kaga. He and his new Iron Chefs began a reign of terror and awful cooking the world has never seen before. Man was limited to takeout and microwave food, and quality ingredients were made illegal to all but his chosen few, with severe punishments for buying or selling these materials.
That all ends today. You are the leader of the Cordon Resistance. Your group finally ends their spreading of pamphlets and their underground cooking lessons, and goes on the offensive. Your scout master, Harland Pepin, has finally found the whereabouts of Hiroyuki Sakai, one of the Iron Chefs specializing in french cuisine. With the help of his Foodon, Orangacle, he has narrowed down his location to a remote mountain pass far from Dacascos's usual territory.
The journey will be long, and you'll only be able to take a small force with you. You've selected Harland, of course, as well as your best strategist, Giada Careme. You have room for one more on your journey. Any larger and you risk raising suspicion from Dacascos's men, even so far from the center of his rule.
Before we begin preperations, let's get your name and your cooking specialty.

Sorry for the delay on part 3! Been busy with finals and holiday prep, let’s get this started.
LAST THREAD - http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/43825045/

You are Tylus Adriaanse. A force sensitive human from the Outer-Rim planet of Drascent – A former slave of the Hutt Doja Bogga Grella – freed only by your nearly coerced pact with the Sith Lord Darth Gareth. In return for your life, you have promised to be his apprentice after slaying his former acolyte. You freed two slaves from his control, a young teen boy by the name of Seth and a young pregnant woman named Celene, and they in turn have become your personal servants.
As of the last chapter, you entered the tomb of the deceased Sith Darth Vader, recently opened by your growing power in the dark side of the force by Darth Gareth’s training.
---
Before you stands a closed pathway further down the dark sloped marble, on your behest Seth searches for a way to open the door, but to no avail. You raise your hands and will the force to press the door open, with almost shocking ease the door cracks, almost willing to crumble by your use of the force. You shine a light into the room ahead, it’s a rather large room, spanning 20 ft. in either direction, covered in a mosaic of arcane symbols, converging in the center with an altar, upon which sits a small, ornate box.
A.) Go forward and open the box
B.) Send Seth to retrieve the box
C.) Find a path ahead
D.) Write-InClearly a lot of people will not be form the original two threads, so if you have questions feel free to ask

No really, dump stat is a confusing term, as people think 'this is what you dump everything in' and 'this is your dumpster stat, which is basically trash'.
I've been going by it being your trash stat for like, 6 years.
>>44366201
Dump stat is the stat you never expect to use, so you put your worst score in it.
Character is mute? Charisma dump stat.
It's the stat you don't care about having anything in. You get no mileage out of it, so you have it as low as possible to free up things for the stats you will use.
Personally I am fucking terrible at having anything as a dump stat, except maybe Strength and sometimes Wisdom.

If you had to arm a battalion of soldiers to take down a demon with limited knowledge, what would they get armed with? You have enough time to make specialized gear for this operation as long as it isn't innovative. Details known are as follows.
>The Demon is typically man sized
>Demon is staying in the ruins of a city that it destroyed
>The recently dead can be raised and used as foot soldiers for the demon
>>Other conflicts have shown that these corpses still have biological weaknesses, ie still need hearts without holes in them
>The Demon itself has physical capacity far beyond anything natural
>>It was able to avoid fire from a tank, and rip through the hull, killing everyone inside
>The Demon is known to have perfect regeneration
>>Bullet wounds close in under a minute
>>It is unclear whether poison would have any kind of effect on him
>>If there is an energy limit to his regeneration, it has not been found or he would be dead
>>>However, this will be the first targeted attack on the Demon, bringing much more firepower
>There are reports the Demon can manifest some kind of giant monster if pressed
>>These reports were radio only, there were 100% casualties both times this was encountered
>The nuclear option can only be used after 50% casualties and is ONLY a weapon of last resort, but won't trigger world war
>>44364528
Half a battalion of multiple rocket launchers, placed very very far away from half a battalion of nuclear-armed multiple rocket launchers. Have a few machine guns with silver-tipped bullets to accompany the first batch, just in case that shit works.
When the first half of the battalion is inevitably torn to pieces, have the area saturated with nuclear fire.
>>44364528
Rail guns
>>44364528
Use an artillery battallion, preferably with direct fire and attached combat engineer and anti tank companies that will support with battlefield obstacles, mines and anti armour fire, while hoping that a direct hit from several field artillery pieces with different types of ammunition can stop it.
Take a look into what a modern tank mine can do. Certain type of mines utilize a molten, shaped metal disc that will fucking destroy a tank and its crew.
And before anyone says you can't do direct fire with artillery, yes you can. Its not common, but definitely possible.
Need help.
My players asked if I could run a shonen like game. Problem is, I've never watched an anime. So I have no idea what that "shonen like" means.
>>44364253
I also don't watch anime, but I recently torrented the 1986 Fist of the North Star movie, and really enjoyed it. I would recommend you watch that soon.
Ok, it's easier to actually see it than it to be explained to you.
And "shounen like" is a pretty wide band of possible themes/plots/etc.
If we want to go for classic, watch the following:
>Yu yu Hakusho
>Fist of the North Star
>HunterxHunter
>Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
This should give you a view of what shounen was like in the 90s/00s.
One Piece and Boku no Hero Academia are examples of decent shonen that would be fun to play through. I suggest you read them/some of them (OP is fucking huge so you probably don't have time to read all of it). Kongou Banchou is also worth mentioning here, along with Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer (technically not shounen but so close to shounen done right it doesn't matter).
You too know the drill.

It's good to be from a geeky family.
The longest winter you’ve yet lived through is still upon you. The air is crisp, and dry; the horizon offers no contrast against a hazy, gray sky, overcast as it’s been for days, with the barest inklings of light shining down through clouds. A fresh snowfall is descending, to cover up the streets and sidewalks. It’s a death shroud, maybe, or perhaps the lid of a pure white coffin, pressed down from above to finally entomb you beneath the earth.
“Well?” You ask yourself, stopping to look up. There’s crunching beneath your feet as you turn in place. Get on with it already, you think.
You sigh—breath a tiny white fog that curls about in the air before it’s pushed away by a harsh gust of wind—then turn to look at the office building in the distance behind you. You can’t help but feel this way after another shitty interview. You don’t think you’re particularly bad at what you do; granted, you’ve been at a bit of a deficit when it comes to work experience since you were last laid off. You don’t know how or where you’re going to make up for it, especially with the way things have been going lately.
It’s just that once you’re in there, the world around you feels enormous, and it suddenly seems as if you haven’t prepared at all, despite all the work you’ve done. You find yourself unable to answer even the most basic questions about programming, your experiences, or even your own for-fuck’s-sake life. The words ‘Where do you see yourself in five years?’ reach down your throat and pull the air out of your lungs. You wish someone would ask you what your biggest weakness is. You’d tell them it’s that you’re a shitty interview, and it’d be funny, and you’d maybe laugh it off.
If you could, that is. It probably wouldn’t come out like you're imagining.

The park is coated in a fine layer of white. There’s some elementary school-age kids having a snowball fight near the pavilion. The bridge where you proposed is wet and slippery. The little stream that passes under it is frozen solid. As you pass through the outermost gate, your apartment complex comes into view a ways down the street. You’ve got a place to live, at least, for another month or two.
Well, depending on how much cash you want to blow on food.
Your door is the one with the ‘Merry Christmas’ decorations on the outside. There’s a wreath on the inside, and when you open it, the bells jingle and the multicolored lights come on. It’s embarrassing. It’s the middle of March and you haven’t had it in your heart to take down all of the shit she put up to try and make you feel better. You’d be married by now; come to think of it, the anniversary of your first date would be in just a week or so. You feel a little bit choked up, but that’s all. You think you’ve already cried all you’re going to cry.
Crashing down on the couch by the tree, you pull your glasses out of your bag and slide them over your head. All of it seemed unnecessary to you at first; you got the full package, complete with neural, eye movement, and EMG. They’ve turned out to be a lifesaver for everyday use, though. Since the accident, you haven’t had full movement in your dominant hand, which considerably slows down your ability to type on a physical keyboard. These have been your primary solution.
It’s been a while since you painted anything, for the same reason. You weren’t too bad at it, though it was just a hobby; she told you once that people would want to buy your work, but you didn’t think so. Maybe you’ll try it again soon.
You don’t bother checking your inbox. You doubt you’ve heard back from anyone. You’ll do it when you’re feeling better. Instead, you navigate through your Programs folder, directly to your latest distraction.

The way Broken Sky Online messes with your mind bothers you. It seems to manipulate its players, moving on a completely different timescale than reality.
When you first logged in, you played for what felt like more than a day, but logged out before restaurants began to close that same night. You’ve gained multiple full days of “extra time”, if you can call it that, in this way, and almost lost the same amount; since the game came out, multiple updates have adjusted the scale in either direction.
You logged out after the most recent to find you’d missed a night's sleep. That made you feel really sick of yourself.
It’s not enough to stop you. Sometimes, you’d rather be anyone else. You start, then, vertigo. Comforting darkness.

You manifest on one knee, amidst an astral fireworks show. Your greatcoat—which you crafted yourself from rare araneid silk and dark chameleon extract—unfades around your shoulders, quickly shifting its own tint to complement the environment. How do I get into MTG? I want to play over the internet preferable. Cocatrice?
You can either get Magic Workstation
or download Magic Duels on Steam
magic 2014 is really good. it's a video game but playing against the AI in that teaches you how the game works, how the cards work together and what their rules do, etc.
it has a really good modding community which I didn't even know about until I played it for more than 80 hours.
but one thing, it really spoils you against IRL magic since the computer takes care of everything.
I can't remember how many times I forgot to tap the stupid lands playing IRL or actually do the basic stuff.
anyways I don't know why but playing magic offline doesn't interest me that much but I really love the games.
anyway if you want to play with people there are some still playing 2014 but not much. also it's good until you're settled into the game and don't care about using semi-stock decks.
