Share your worlds! Be it DnD or not, I'd love to see some of your personally created worlds. I'll also go ahead and dump my own, even if it isn't quite amazing, to get things started. Please only use constructive criticism on one another's ideas and let's help each other perfect our different worlds.

Ok here is my own, I use this for DnD and a game of my own creation I call Steel and Silver (but it is more of a narrative game):

there are a few worlds all connected through the plane known as Rivlun, or the City of Doors. A powerful being known as Freana and a race known as Lachs protect this place. It has countless doors leading to all different worlds and realities, but not even the gods can open more than a few of them.

Asteris:

Asteris is where the majority of my games take place, it is the main world and the central hub. The world is larger than earth and houses 8 continents. Weather does not correspond directly with our own world. Instead, all 8 continents are held in a biome that keeps their weather isolated. Nymphs keep these biomes in order. Asteris is the focus of the Celestial Planes, the Abyss, the Fey, and the Shadowfell as well.

Zastius: When Asteris was complete the war between the Primordials and Gods began to wage, but Zastius sat as the unfinished side project. Only until recently, disheartened by the events of Asteris, did some Gods decide to finish Zastius, some even totally abandoning Asteris to do so. Zastius is my prehistoric setting. Players are essentially cavemen and they come across prehistoric enemies. Dinosaurs are much stronger here, and prehistoric orcs and lizardmen are among the dangers. This world is much harder than Asteris considering anything metal doesn't exist and players do not have anything more than the simplest weapons or armor, while some creatures naturally have both.

Larkantum - Larkantum is my steampunk setting. Less monsters, more tech. Sprawling nations and cities cover the land, always at war. It's sort of a 1984 feel to it, very fun. However, it is no more difficult than Asteris for players.

Sauru: A living world. the planet itself acts as its own god, creating and destroying at will. He does like to give free will to his creatures and so will sometimes, though VERY rare, grab adventurers from other realms through rifts and employ them to save his favored species.

Fasalvania: My horror setting. WAY more monsters here and they are MUCH stronger while PCs are much weaker. This is definitely the hardest of my worlds, One monster can fuel an entire quest.
>>
Asteris detailed:

Continent overview:

Asteris is divided into 8 continents, a massive interconnecting Underdark, and a deep ocean. Many rifts open up to many other planes, though almost never to Larkantum, Zastius, or Fasalvania. the continents are:

Dalvus: the classic fantasy setting, Dalvus is massive and divided into four sections by a T shaped mountain range and a dense and very dangerous forest. To the northwest is Arowan, based on England, The northwest is Havrick, based on England/Scotland. The southwest is Edalga, based on Spain. The southeast is Torevelli, based on Italy.

Mestarshan Plains: The Mestarshan Plains replace sprawling forests with rolling grasslands. The north is Charlegnon, based on France, and the south is Brecht, based on Germany.

The Crowning Peaks: The topside is mostly uninhabitable mountains, but the Dragonborn come from here. They make their home on the surface, based on Russia. Underground the Dwarves make their home, based on Scandanavia.

Droughtlands: My middle east, almost the entire continent is ruled by a single Sultan.

Arctic Dales: My Greenland/Antarctica. Not many humans live here.

Nezzurah: My amazon. Mostly wild jungle, very little civilization.

Far East Marches: My asia. the northwest is Zhangju, based on Mongolia and China. The northeast is Pyokkye, based on Korea. The eastern islands are Honshu, based on Japan. the southwest is Shilao, based on Siam (mostly Thailand). The southwest is Jiangxi, based on China.

Trius: My India, smallest continent but the entire thing is India.
>>
Dalvus detailed: Major locations, but certainly not all of them:

Detavion - One of the most powerful of the Eight Cities that rule over what they can of Dalvus and make up the Dalvan Free Trade Committee. Detavion is a very fair and just city-state that defends most of the northwestern portion of the continent. Symbol: A lion on a solid green flag

Kal' Bezoah - The last standing Dwarven city in Dalvus. Kal' Bezoah has only loose ties with those on the topside world, opening their doors to trade but remaining stiff on their traditions and values of the underdark. They stand vigilant of the terrors of the Dead Trenches. Symbol: Dwarven character for honor on a gold flag

Silonius - Matches Detavion's power but lacks its justice. Silonius is a wicked city that rules over the farthest portion of the southwest. Silonius is constantly scheming for power, and it's rulers are constantly plotting to overthrow one another. When they do unite, however, they are a force to be reckoned with. Symbol: A silver serpent set over a black flag

Avalon - A city which grew from the destruction the Spread of Silver made in its wake. They stand vigilant against the ever-present threat from Silonius and despise the city which caused their descendants so much pain. Symbol: A ram's head on a dark blue flag

Qalloph - Qalloph tends to keep to itself but in times of great injustice you can expect to see Qalloph appear on the side of good. The city has a very healthy relationship with Detavion and Avalon, and serves alongside Zola in defending against and exploring the Darkenedwood Forest beyond the Divide. Symbol: A raven on an orange (top) and brown (bottom) flag

There is a long moment of silence, and a treacherous thought - "If I'd built this trap, I would make the password completely unrelated to the riddle." - re-familiarizes you with your fear of death and pain.

And then the locks on the door click, and it swings inward.

"Everyone through," you call, slipping through the doorway and holding it open for the others. When you let go, it slams shut with an echoing sound that makes you wince.

You could really use a smoke for this shit.

Cherry's steady guidance eventually leads you to a locked door. Amy checks it and begins the patient process of disarming the traps attached to it, as well as the locks. You still volunteer to open it.

Inside is a small broom closet; on the very top shelf is a snowglobe.

The phylactery.

"And who is this, who sneaks through my libraries and touches the things which are mine?" a spectral, echoing voice asks, from just behind the doorway.

That was fast. Teleportation really /is/ possible in the Dungeon.

Human team question.

I have 2 blitzers near level up

one has +MA +MA dodge and the other has MB PO Jump up. Do I take tackle or guard (or a different skill)? As of right now I have 1 tackle lineman and 1 guard tackle blitzer for a total of 2 tackle pieces. I have 4 guard pieces, a blodge blitzer, a guard tackle blitzer, a guard lineman, and my orge. I also have no frenzy and only my killer and my ogre have mighty blow.

Oh and for ogre and catcher. If I don't roll doubles by the third skill for the ogre and if I dont roll an 11 or 12 by the third skill for the catcher should I just fire them and start again?
Mainly play in the NAF BB2 league or what ever it is called now. So mostly against bashy or wood elves

Hello, and welcome to Super Stand Sunday! Pretty late, I know, but I had to make one with all the hype for Part 4.

Let's see what sorta Stands we can come up with, and rate those of others.

For a quick Stand, use the following method-
>http://music.wikia.com/wiki/Music_Wiki
Hit random for the name.
Same deal for the powers.
OR just use
>http://www.pages.drexel.edu/~dft29/Stand_Generator/Stand-Generation-Overdrive.html

Then, write it up

Everything you ever wanted to know about Stands, but were too afraid to ask.

hey /tg/
i have a question.
how do you guys deal with power players/hardcore min maxers in your campaigns?
i am currently Dming my first campaign in pathfinder and the biggest issue is one member of the party who WILL NOT stop power gaming.
he makes up half assed excuses in game as to why his character would take the actions he takes when in reality he is only doing so because he knows it will lead to him getting the most power. to a certain extent i would be fine with this, but the level he does it at is near game breaking for the other players. i have never had to deal with this before and i would like for it to be dealt with IN GAME in a way that will get him to stop but im at a loss. help me out?

Normally I'd say that power-gaming is pointless because the GM can just scale the enemies up to a level that matches the power-gamers... but I've had the same problem recently where a single player is doing it and scaling the enemies up means the other players get slaughtered.

The best solutions I've found are to make in-game situations where combat simply is not a viable option for solving every encounter. Give the skill-monkey rogue a chance to disguise the party or stealth through an encounter, give the mage a chance to be creative (God help you if your power-gamer is playing a mage though).

The other solution is just to force the power-game to play a "low-tier" class. That means no wizard, no sorcerer, no magus, no druid, no cleric, no casters in general. Make them play a fighter or even a Barbarian or Monk.

he is playing a magus. i considered scaling the enemies but like you said it would just make it harder on the other players. catering to the other players and their skills has worked a little in the past but once the power gamer saw me do this he switched his play style up ever so slightly to where he can do just about everything the other players can.
>>44355621
i would like to avoid that. i dont want to deal with that conflict.

You tell your elder of your choice of totem tattoos.

"Good. A man must be decisive in his choices. He leans forward and presses his thumb against your head and you see you see a giant of a man with a incorporeal bear, tiger, and other beast fighting along side him against dozens of warriors. The giant man does not fight with weapons but his hand seem like bear paws one moment and tiger claws the next as a large group of men you see him spit fire out of his mouth as a giant incorporeal dragon flies above.

As the vision fades out Bretio tells you that. “Totem tattoos allow a man to strength his body and fight along beasts that he has killed. I suggest after leaving you set out to hunt for your first tattoo. Your body can only handle one tattoo right now so make a wise choice. Remember that the beast you slay will become a part of you.

The Rage CCG wasn't really well designed but I loved it. I got into it wghen I was around 13, but it was pretty cheap in its final days, I would have got my first starter deck for AU$5 in bargain bins, and when the line finally shut down I bought about 5 assorted booster boxes for AU$8 a piece. Including baseline, Wyrm, Umbra and Legend of the Tribes. I only ever saw 1 booster pack of War of the Amazon.
Umbra is in my opinion the weakest set, and I already had most of the set.
First booster, I've never seen Caern of the Western Eye or Parting the Velvet Curtain. The Caern allows Children of Gaia allies to vote in moots.

Killing some Orcs edition

Hello everyone and welcome to ShitterNormie's Machine Civ part 9!
>What's happening in the civ Shitter?
Excellent question anon! We are the head AI of a group of drones and multi-purpose machines. Remember anon...if the main AI is destroyed the civ is lost!
>Where are we Shitter?
We are located in the side of a volcano. Our base (which can be given a new name) was built by our old masters: The gnomes. They're dead now because of orcs. But here we are! We are a large super computer that is position in the center of the main room of the volcano-side base. However, we have developed a battle suit that we can travel around in. So far the current rooms we have are 1 door leading to the outside world, 1 drone building facility, 1 machine building facility, 1 steel mine, 1 generator room, 1 Machine of Burden building facility, 1 Copybot building facility and 1 vehicle building facility. We only have one current ally at the moment: the gnolls who have been graced with our gift of being transformed into a superior mechanical version. We might get another ally rather soon in the form of the skaven
>Did anything happen last time Shitter?
Quite a lot happened actually! The troll cave was repurposed into a second base, a new room was unlocked: the vehicle room, you made contact with the skaven and managed to scare the one you caught into telling the truth, scouting was done on the Orc encampment and battle plans were being discussed, and research on a PSC went nowhere!
>How do I get started!?!?!?
Just suggest two actions at the end of the IMMEDIATE CHECKUP. All choices' success will be determined by a 1d20 roll that I will do on my desk and tell you guys. (Rolled 15,2)

Deciphering the coordinates provided by the Eldar has proven to be difficult. Their method of navigation relies heavily on the Webway, an extra-dimensional labyrinth that lies between the Materium and the Warp. The Xenos often describe star systems relative to certain Webway entrances, rather than the Imperial method of using the Galactic center and Astronomican. Unfortunately, neither you nor the libraries aboard the Brazen of Pearl contain a chart of such portals, so a majority of your work is educated guesses.

The Stryxis fleet in question seems to be located within Winterscale’s Realm. More specifically, in an uncharted system a few light years distant from the pleasure world of Solace Encarmine. Such is the nature of Winterscale’s Realm that what charts you do have on hand are incomplete and conflicting. Where one claims there to be stable passage through the Warp, another warns of a Warp Storm. The truth likely lies somewhere inbetween. There’s really only one way to know for sure.

“...and that’s why I’ll need about a liter of blood,” you finish saying to Ruhr over the vox. “Preferably from the devout and pure.”

Such blood is said to better encapsulate the inscrutable tides of the Warp. You figure it’s best to pull out all the stops for your first true Warp jump into the unknown. To his credit, the Chief Bosun doesn’t even seem to bat an eye at your request.

“Are you positive you just need a single liter? The last time someone asked the Missionaries for blood they nearly drained themselves dry.”

“I suppose having extra on hand wouldn’t hurt. But only if it can be kept properly.”

“I’ll see about asking Forgal to jury rig something. Shouldn’t be too difficult.”

Senka’s Character Sheet:

All rolls will go against a specified characteristic in the style of Rogue Trader. You’ll want to roll under the characteristic value in order to pass the check. The more degrees of success (every multiple of 10 counts as 1), the more awesome of a result. A 1 is a guaranteed success, and a 100 is a guaranteed failure. Best of three rolls when it’s called for, with a 1 or a 100 instantly taking precedence. If you see multiple characteristics being called for, each 1d100 counts for its respective test.

If you have any questions/etc, just shout.

About two hours later you hear the telltale sounds of your bodyguards frisking someone at the door to your Sanctum. Then the individual is permitted to announce, ++Navigator Senka, I come bearing your blood and a means to preserve it.++

“Let him in,” you vox back to Yen and Yang.

The heavily-warded door slides opens to reveal Explorator Forgal. He’s clad in the stereotypical red robes of the Mechanicus, sporting a rebreather, and has several mechadendrites. Of which are carrying several large flasks of viscous, crimson liquid.

++Where do you wish to keep it?++ he asks, lingering at the threshold..

“Over here against the wall,” you reply, pointing to where you’ve set up an easel and a bench of various painting supplies.

Forgal takes one look of the assemblage, then offers, ++It will be less cumbersome to store the blood and the recycler unit in the floor. A hydraulic system connected to a faucet on the wall will facilitate access.++

You shrug. “Sounds fine to me. I’ll just stay out of your way then.”

Forgal wastes little time in removing one of the deck plates and hopping into the knee-deep depression with a loud clang. You hear all sorts of tools being used, along with the occasional muttering in binary. Meanwhile you supervise from your throne.
