Song of Swords is a realistic fantasy tabletop RPG that draws inspiration from historical fechtbuchs, weapons and armor. Its combat system is fast and it can be used for both fantasy and historical/mundane settings.
Call of the Void is a pulpy sci-fi tabletop RPG about fighting space-nazis and hunting giant whales with harpoons made out of the moon. Its combat system is more modern, based in the early 20th century, but can probably handle combat up to the present day.

ok so i have heard that some one used Song of swords for a Darks souls campain.
i am planing on running one of those as well and would like advise as well as some pointers on combat rules and how to make them interesting.
i dont know if i'll be free tomorrow for the combat lesson thing.

At least the one I'm currently working on. World is posthuman postapocalypse. All the inhabitants have been magically mutated for various reasons into three races that still call themselves human, but are different from what humanity used to actually look like. Each one is representative of certain sins or wrongdoings, and while individuals can be decent people, in large groups they tend to be assholes.

Asian Dragon are Demigods or outright Gods. Western Dragons are just Apex Predators to be hunted.

Both good. I guess I prefer western dragons on the whole, because they work well as both villains and heroes. Eastern ones.. generally stuck as sages and protectors. Have to corrupt them to make them work well as evil.
