Fluttershy was quite happy to help Twilight out with the map's quest; after the first trek to Starlight Glimmer's town, she could be reasonably sure that it wouldn't send her anywhere she would be too uncomfortable. And dependable Twilight was there, so she wouldn't have to take center stage. Most likely. But even with all the animals she met in the mountains, there's still one thing - she missed out on Furry Friends Book Club this time! Oh, to think of what they discussed about Wuthering Hooves without her!

Her second map adventure might not have been quite what she had been expecting, but Twilight Sparkle also lost sight a bit that two ponies were sent, too. It's partially just how revved up she's been, though - she missed out on the trek to Griffonstone and a revisit to Manehattan, and she IS the princess of friendship, after all. How often is she able to demonstrate any proficiency at that title? Still, it goes to show she's still got a ways to learn.
That's why she'll just have to keep coming up with more friendship problem theoretical scenarios to simulate, obviously!It's not a roleplaying game, it's research!

There's a mystery to that map in the castle that Twilight Sparkle lives in. Sure, how it operates isn't known, either, but more importantly - why hasn't it called her in again yet? She and Fluttershy are the only two who haven't received summons again yet! There has to be some kind of friendship problem they can fix! But all she can do is wait, and hope that the next time is hers.

If there's something that has been a near-constant in Twilight's life, it's been keeping close to home waiting upon some say-so or suggestion to go anywhere. She's rather goal-oriented, and loves to test herself, but even with the fascination she's held for places further off than the Canterlot-Ponyville region, she doesn't seem to make time to travel. Perhaps it's just that she feels bound as a princess to stay available when she can, or lately it might simply be that she doesn't want to be too far away from the map, since it doesn't seem to operate on any predictable schedule. But wouldn't it be nice to go on a travelling adventure of her own?

He's not exactly the easiest fellow to have dropping in and out whenever he chooses, but Discord does seem sincere enough in remaining loosely within the structures of Equestrian polite society. He still has his shortcomings and chaotic whims, and the Tirek debacle might have gone less painlessly had he fulfilled his accepted task. Then again, had he done so, the box from the Tree of Harmony might have remained a mystery for some time, despite the keys collected. Just how Discord know that he doesn't let on about? What are his personal goals, and how close is he to reaching them?Just what was he doing before the first time he appeared in Equestria?

Something else Twilight may have taken away from Discord's latest shenanigans: it's perfectly alright that her friends have shared experiences that she missed out on, but she might also share her own time more regularly if that bothers her. Sorting books is a lot of fun for her, but it's perhaps not the easiest group activity to sell. So all she has to do is wander by her friends' and see what they're interested in for the weekends and so forth. It's such a simple plan, and she doesn't even have to concern herself with the map not sending her along!Being Equestria, everything can go wrong, but why not stay optimistic?

Discord seems to take particular delight in tormenting Twilight Sparkle. It isn't as if he's unwilling to taunt her friends, though Fluttershy has given him unexpected resistance in that respect, but at the end of it all, he just doesn't spend so much time on other targets. Perhaps it's the circumstances Twilight has been in since he awoke, especially after becoming a princess. It isn't as if he's after revenge, particularly; Celestia and Luna might have borne more of the brunt of it if he had been. And he has (briefly, anyhow) triumphed over her before. So it's something else that amuses him to ply his brand of chaos.
Perhaps she isn't the first, though- just how long had he been loose before statued by the Elements of Harmony the first time?

There's probably dozens of things Spike would prefer to do with his weekends besides reshelving books. Whether talking hoofball or seeing if Rarity needs help with production or just walking around Ponyville, it's things he's done before that he liked. But what he wants more than all that is to maintain his #1 Assistant status with Twilight Sparkle. After all their time together, it's a comfort all its own.
Not that he won't squeeze in massages and gem snacks as compensation for the particularly slow prospects. There's a certain amount of take earned.

It's understandable that Twilight Sparkle might not fully trust Discord, particularly where her friends are concerned, and especially after Tirek's rampage. Still, after all this time, she might start to consider how he enjoys both needling her and "teaching" her - she might have cottoned to that idea before assuming he simply ensorcelled them. It's just part of her personality, one supposes.Where did she get the concept that she shouldn't be able to get jealous just because she's the princess of friendship, anyway? Celestia probably wouldn't have told her that.

Zecora knows quite a bit about concoctions and remedies that Twilight hasn't focused her studies upon. And with some of the more esoteric items she's collected, such as potions that can only be activated by alicorn magic, she remains quite an enigma. Where does she come by some of her rarities, both in possessions and knowledge? Has she often had the opportunity to test even half of her stock? There are some very edge cases indeed. She is well read, of course, so that solves a bit of that... excepting, then, where she came by the books in the first place. But she's a helpful zebra, all the same.And she really just enjoys having that cauldron around.
