There's a mystery to that map in the castle that Twilight Sparkle lives in. Sure, how it operates isn't known, either, but more importantly - why hasn't it called her in again yet? She and Fluttershy are the only two who haven't received summons again yet! There has to be some kind of friendship problem they can fix! But all she can do is wait, and hope that the next time is hers.

Didn't wow me, and it was identical to every other Hatfield and McCoy story without doing anything different or unexpected, which MLP usually does.
The main character of the show were great in it as usual, though, and Im glad Fluttershy ended up solving the external problem, and Twilight learning something instead of Fluttershy having the spotlight on "im really shy" again

It was a comfy ep, nothing controversial, I wanted a Fluttertwi ep and I got it.
Of course the sticky probably despises it, and ten people probably said they've quit the show as a result like they do every week.
I never really got the "predictable" complaint though, I mean, every ep has a predictable ending. One, due to demographic, and two, due to time, three, due to the moralistic nature of the show. Exceptions in any season are extremely rare.

The only flaw was the new pones were pretty uggo. I'm not a fan of facial hair on stallions, nor the "redneck" aesthetic either.

Actually I liked how this episode handled her: We see she's physically stronger than the regular pony, but said pony is Fluttershy. She can fly and teleport, but it must be tiresome for her since they used the balloon. She can freeze time for a ton of ponies, but she has to really struggle to keep her spell up, and can barely move.
And, in the end, the episode proved that having all the magic in the world isn't gonna help you if you don't know what you're doing

Glimmer and this episode are VERY important. Think about it:
Every time Glimmer has appeared after the premiere, it has been in a Twilight episode, because she's clearly stalking her specifically. She appeared in Ponyville during the last Discord episode, and in Canterlot during Amending Fences, both places where Twilight is very likely to be.
But, today's episode occurs in a very far away place, and they make a point to show how they take the balloon to go there. They've been using the train constantly these last seasons, while the ballon was mostly forgotten...but now it comes back. Why?
Because you cannot hide inside the tiny nest of a balloon.
Which brings me to my point:
If it turns out Glimmer did indeed not appear in today's episode, it means everything is fine: She tried to tail them, but was unable to when she saw them getting into the ballon. She stayed in Ponyville and awaited their return.
But, if it turns out she IS somewhere in the background, the implications are much more dire. Because it means that either she can tell where the map is sending them in advance (which could also mean she is the controlling it) or...she is already time travelling. Both possibilities ultimately mean that the entire season has been all part of her plan, and Twilight is so fucked
