An easy reform for her would be to make her Twilight's student before she goes power-hungry, erasing the Glimmer we know from ever existing.
or you can have a multiverse theory thing where unreformed Glimmer remains in universe, but little Glimmer is raised from birth to defeat her with friendship and love, like some sort of supersoldier.
