What about having at least Eris go. That way she can get some redemption, have a heart-to-heart with her brother, and not remain characterized as some useless and weak chaos goddess.

Starlight's still adjusting to her new life, but at least she's got some good support. Twilight's excited as ever to do well by her, and Spike's befriended her fairly easily. It does mean he's got a little more work, probably, but he's up for the task. The rest of the throne holders are fine with her, too- though what happens now when the map calls them in? Does Starlight get to watch the castle?

The Crystal Heart is certainly a powerful enough artifact, holding back wintery storms magnitudes beyond the standard efforts of pegasi teams. The side-effect of the crystalline pulse is quite dramatically visible, too. How frequently does that come around? It seems to come around at extraordinary moments, but the inhabitants of the city would know best.Think it happened during the Equestria Games at all? That'd have been a spectacular sight.

It all turned out to be unfortunate hang-ups preventing Starlight Glimmer from keeping in communication with her childhood friend, but things have a funny way of working themselves out with a little effort. Still, she must wonder what if she had done more then. Not that what ifs are the most practical puzzle,
with so many variables present and possible. Twilight and Spike got to experience that for themselves. But the map's no longer being used with that time travel spell anyhow, and the best question to ponder now is what she'll keep doing from here on out!Maybe this friendship thing isn't so hard.

So it did end up working out that Starlight Glimmer moved into the Ponyville castle. It's a good move - it's a really big place for just two full-time occupants, and the role she's accepted with as Twilight's student means it's a good idea for her to be close by anyway. Still, it might be a bit before she's really settled in with her new castlemates.Think she was able to bring in anything from the town she so recently hailed from?

Synopses:

Part 2 — As Starlight tries to pick up the pieces of the failed reunion with her old friend, Twilight and the rest of the Mane Six struggle to save the Crystal Empire from an eternal winter.
