>How powerful is it?
Decently powerful, could be better, noone else has a comparable navy, maybe the chinks in 10 years

>What are its flaws?
They don't armor their ships, they think every ship needs to be a mult-billion dollar boondoggle, and the LCS doesn't work yet.

Also, no gliders.

Someday you should actually go to a range.

it's about time I bought proper materials and tools and made some nice things, I made this knife with a saw, file, scrap metal and a branch

damn nigga, that thing looks like shit. it look like it's made from some scrap metal and a random branch, and your only tools were like a saw and a file or something.

get yourself a band saw, a belt sander, a bench grinder, and if you want to do things that right way, a forge, anvil, and all the other shit needed for smithing.

>US military finds F-35 software is a buggy mess
>Tests jettisoned to protect schedule

>The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) remains the problem child of the US military, with some operational tests abandoned in 2014, and buggy software proving a headache.

>The US military's Office of the Director, Operational Test & Evaluation (DOT&E) has released its latest annual report, and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter chapter describes the Department of Defense's efforts in trying to get the project back somewhere close to schedule.

>To avoid a cascading series of delays that would have stretched into 2016, the project abandoned an Operational Utility Evaluation (OUE) planned in April 2014 for the Marines' Block 2B configuration of the aircraft.

Am I reading this right? The software has bugs, so it limits flying time, so it limits testing, so they're reducing the number of tests it has to make to qualify?

That's like going "QA is identifying a lot of bugs. QA are a problem. Fire QA. There we go. No more bug reports.".

This'll end as well as it has gone so far - I wonder how many pilots will need to die from malfunctioning hardware and software for them to consider a different course of action.

I'm convinced that this plane is named F-35 because it will become fully operation by the end of 2035. So many damn showstoppers! Disaster.

After hearing so much bullshit about the F-35 from people who genuinely believe that the US needs to start rolling out new Skyraiders I'm inclined to believe that somebody found a moth in the F-35's cockpit and the press ran with it as "BUG FOUND IN THE F-35: NEW AIRPLANE IS BUGGIEST SHIT EVER."

Have we or anyone for that matter come to the consensus of the reliable claims of the VP9? There are so many differing tests and results I can't seem to pinpoint the average. One test has the VP9 caked in hard mud and swamp:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=79&v=V69IDIpRbsA

The VP9 pass with flying colors.

While another, the MAC test has it failing.

So which one is it? Is there a middleground that we can all agree on?

>So which one is it? Is there a middleground that we can all agree on?

How about fucking test it yourself
>>
>>28730337
VP9 is shit, an exposed striker channel for the sake of a worthless design to cater to politicians and safety sallies took a potentially awesome thing (a reintroduction of a striker fired gun into H&Ks lineup) and make it nothing more than a range toy.

Also sage for not creating a broader topic post.

VP9 owner here. For personal defense, I would advise against it based on personal experience. It is alot more picky with which ammo it likes compared to my glock or beretta. I've just experienced more stoppages with it overall.

That said, it is very comfy and the trigger's decent, so if you want it as a range toy than go for it.

If memory serves me right, there's an instructor out in Arizona that teaches how to effectively use a SA revolver in today's world. It was an article in a magazine. I'd still choose a semi or a modern day revolver but it was an interesting read.

With clearly superior handguns like these available, why would anyone carry anything but a S&W?

From the elagant, stainless steel 3913, to the modern m&p shield, Smith and Wesson clearly is the best choice.

Glocks are beyond horrible to look at, are boxy, and their fanboys are terrible.

HK is overpriced meme shit

Berettas are okay, but still m&p wanna-be

Every other brand is shit-tier meme lord central.

Range toys are one thing, but if you're looking for a firearm to ALWAYS perform, there's simply no other option.

I'm not saying that plastic guns are ALL bad. I mean, the m&p shield does a pretty good fucking job.
But stainless just looks good.

Don't worry anon, if you sell all your glocks you could absolutely afford a nice stainless 4506

I got a question, well several.

Which round do you prefer? And what are the pros and cons of each.
57 posts and 10 images submitted.
>>
I've got both. I like both.
I do use my AR for precision shooting over my AK, but that is simply because it's easier to mount a scope on my AR.
They're completely different rounds.
Different strokes for different folks.
>>
Although .223 has it's merits, I find 7.62x39 more useful for my purposes. I can legally hunt deer with it (loads such as PPU SP's have excellent terminal performance), great barrier penetration, cheap surplus is available (Canada). There's all sorts of other nitpicky arguments one could make, but they both do roughly the same job. They kill stuff with supersonic projectiles. That said, they both have their own niche, and it's up to you to see which one fits your uses better.

7.62
> more energy at the muzzle
> excellent for SBRs
> great barrier penetration
> legal for CPX2 game
> cheap ammo
>only good for <300m

.223
> flatter shooting, longer range
> light recoil
> wide range of loads to choose from
> legal for varmints only (in Canada anyway)
