Kek, where do you live where people actually say that?
Why do most rifles use 30 round magazines as a standard?
>>28871846
because 30 is better than 20 u dolt
Because 29 isn't enough
Because having a 31 rd mag or a 27 round mag would be fucking retarded.
Thinking about buying Sig in pic. Sig is the only pistol brand I don't own one of.
It's the p229 stainless with wood grip. Seems like p229 fits my hand better than 226.
Is this a good pistol?
>>28871715
yes it is a very good pistol. The P229 feels much better than the P226 to me as well. If you have the chance, and funds, hold the P229 Legion, the undercut trigger makes a difference and the trigger job feels fantastic.
Does the stainless model you're looking at have the short reset trigger?
>>28871715
No it's a horrible pistol by a shitty company. Its heavy as fuck and a 9mm and it is extremely prone to jamming after every 100rds or so without a thorough cleaning.
The sights come loose as fuck with regular use, the grip panels will peel back with extensive shooting.
What else... Oh you cant use HP's in them without it jamming. If you get dirt or dust in the clip the gun could literally explode on you.

New Deputy here and I get to Configure my Own Patrol Rifle. Only Limitation it can't be shit or lowquality tier and it has to be 5.56. Suppressors are legit and available. I will own the weapon and I have a trust. Side arm will be Glock 22 for now.
Budget? Size constraint? Required features?

i know LEOs get some leeway (some more than others) in weapon customization, but im surprised at the amount of freedom you get

So these things are made out of radioactive material (tritium). Isn't it harmful if you have to carry it around all day? I don't want to go sterile from having this thing strapped near my junk for hours at a time...
Seems to me like you don't have balls anyways pussy.
>>28870753
its a low energy beta emitter, it cant penetrate skin
>>28870753
No.
Radiation is negligible and unless you are eating the tritium after breaking it from it's sealed capsules, you'll be fine.

GET FUCKED COMMIES
Hey /k/ I want some advice on what y'all think. I'm working part time and today out of nowhere two people from the main office (we have 4 three small and one main one) started putting up 30.06 and 30.07 signs. Apparently not even the boss at my office knew. My mother carries here and I planned on carrying once I was of age (i'm 18 currently). My family tries to stay away from gun free businesses, should I quit and stand up for what I believe in or what should I do? I'll take a pic once they leave they're putting them up currently.
Assert dominance. Open carry mosin.

Don't do that. Simply ask your manager if he knows who made the decision, then ask to speak with that person. Politely ask them to reconsider their decision in light of recent world events or something that doesn't make you seem like a nut. Be respectful and see where it goes.
>>28870371
>Pursuant to section 30.06...
Considering how awesome they look, they're surprisingly hard to find.
>>28870269
Because they're a niche item for cs players such as yourself.
>>28870269
Because libs are trying to breed whites out of existence
>>28870269
because for the most part white means "arctic camo lol" and a large chunk of people dont want a camo that will either not blend in at all where they live or only during one season.
What can you guys tell me about bayonets?
I had a fucklong argument with some British guy, who insisted that bayonet charges are still commonly done, extremely effective (even vs. disciplined opponents, not only against sandkips), and that not only British do them, but other people too - French in Mali, Austrians, and US Marines even.
Despite my best attempts, I can't find any examples of modern bayonet charges, beyond the few the Brits did in the sandbox. And it doesn't really make any sense to me either - I mean, I suppose it would be simpler to just...

1. You are a dumbass for even listening to some noguns assualt spoon wielding bong(seriously this is almost as bad as considering australians to be humans)
2. You are a mongoloid

your inane britbong ramblings aside, I always wondered if the blunt SKS bayonet was ever actually used to kill someone in combat

You impale someone with it. No slashing.
Hello /k/, /tg/ fanboy here.
What kind of equipment a powerful corporation (Like Umbrella) would provide it's own S.W.A.T. teams? I'm speaking weapons and ammo / armor / related equipment like camera, clothing, night-vision Goggles, grenades, silencers...
I want to make the experience as realistic as possible, so actual manufacturer name / gun model and reasons for these picks would be much appreciated. I'd even go as far as a detail that makes those brands different, like a clinking noise when the last ammo of a magazine is spent, or an item being...

D20 Modern has a pretty great armory book for this sort of thing.
For Umbrella, most kit will be task and terrain specific. In general, urban environment will gear with small light weapons like SMGs and body armor to defeat small arms fire and infected. If it is wide open terrain, move up to assault rifles and marksman rifles.
The sound of a magazine hitting the ground, or empty casings hitting concrete will be negligible compared to the REEEEEEEEEEEE you will hear with out hearing protection, or won't...

Additionally, lurk on the gear queer, battle rifle, AR and AK general threads. Ask questions about specific things on those threads, or a questions that don't deserve their own thread.
Unless you have specific game system in mind, check out Spycraft 2.0. It might be really good for what you are going for, or can be used as a homebrew template.
Cheers from a fa/tg/uy lurker.

What is /k/'s opinion on war journalism? I'm studying journalism and I'm really interested in conflicts, and have been following a few people who are usually in the middle of these fights, like Simon Ostrovsky or Sandor Jaszberenyi. Anyone here who has experience in war, met or have been around these journalists? How did you guys feel about them? Maybe someone who is doing war journalism here?
