A bit offtopic, but does anyone know of any artists similar to Yusuke Kozaki? I really love the realistic animu look and am interested in finding more styles like his.

Took my first proper art class when I was 14. Gesture drawing. Didn't know shit about the subject, and I was the only one there who wasn't old enough to have grandchildren.
Started preliminary artscool at 18.
So there somewear I suppose. Can't pinpoint the exact moment.
I would say about 1 year. I've always been drawing before but only last year did I actually start to actively study and focus on improving. It's still just a hobby for me tho, I needed a replacement for piano because I moved and no longer have easy access to a piano every day (makes me extremely sad since I have put 15 years into that).

When writing stories I'm okay with writing characters and I can be very descriptive with setting, but I really struggle deciding on a setting when the story is grounded in the real world. I'm currently writing a script for a comic taking place in the United States about 20 years after the beginning of the Vietnam war. Drawing a lot of influences from things like Hotline Miami and Mirror's Edge, in terms of plot and aesthetic(leaning more toward, with the free running of ME). How does one calibrate a monitor properly ?
You use one of these.
I don't really see a point unless you're doing work that requires absolute color accuracy and have control of the output, in the case of print. Most good monitors already come decent out of the box.
I can't seem to find any information about precise "good" gamma
