Everything either fucking hurts or is uncomfortable as hell. And I mean hurts not as in not burning but just hurts.
Should I keep doing these?

Rest lower body 1.5-2 days and see if it still hurts; if so correct form and try again. Most likely if it's your first time it's a mix between fatigue and improper form.
Why would you do front squats when not being an oly lifter. This exercise is uncomfortable as fuck. And is just as good as normal high bar squats

It isnt the pain from new workouts. It's just the uncomfortable pain of where the bar rests no matter where I rest it. Tried different variations and it just feels uncomfortable.
Never experienced this with back squats or deadlifts. Romanians don't hurt they just feel weird.

I'm 5 months in to weight training. I want to give this tip to all beginners and people thinking of beginning:
DON'T STOP GOING ONCE YOU START!
The reason why is you'll eventually get to the point where you're fully on board with weight training: you see the results with each passing month, you watch yourself getting stronger and the weights getting heavier, but most importantly, you LOOK FORWARD to going to the gym. It becomes a fun activity in your day and spending time at the gym goes from being the most horrible thing in the world to a hobby/pass...

Not worth making a separate thread, so gonna ask here:
What is the normal breakdown per unit of weight lost on a cut?
E.g. is it .6lbs of fat and .4lbs of muscle for every pound of mass lost?
I understand there will be variance, but by normal I mean assuming a steady cut, solid macros maintained, lifting continued, etc.

I lift in a busy but cheap commercial gym in the centre of Edinburgh. You can see me doing heavier deadlifts than 90 percent of the people there, but struggling like fuck with squats.

i'm in edinburgh too. i used to be a member at david lloyd but fuck the prices, the shit PTs, the hostile clientele, the ban on dropping the bar and everything else about that money grubbing shithole.
now i have a home gym and i work out in there happily.
also, is it just me or is this country especially weak? i've never seen anyone benching more than 100kg.

David Lloyd seems to be full of tanned estate agent pricks trying to be on Geordie Shore as well desu. Decent cheap gyms are hard to come by in this country for sure if they arent crowded.
Did you ever try the Uni gym though before setting up yourself? I think for non students it works out about 20 a month and its absolutely exceptional. Dedicated oly room plus two other rooms full of lifting equipment. Plus climbing wall and circuit gym etc. Shame its too far from my flat and work to be convenient now....

At lackland still for the air crew fundamentals course which starts on Friday and is supposedly 9 class days then I go to Randolph for 22 class days for the basic sensor operator course
Then 16months of OJT which I'm thinking is most likely at Creecy Nevada or Holloman New Mexico from what I've been hearing
Hey, it's scrawny dude from yesterday. The guy who'd started out too weak to lift the bar, asked for tips, all that. Went into the gym today, and you were right, I'd been worried over nothing. I'd worried that the stronks in there would be judging me, but when I asked for tips, they were super helpful. Set me up with a plan to get out of the whole t-rex thing. It's kind of stupid, but it was the closest thing to being part of a community I'd felt since I got out of highschool. Thanks.

So I'm a 19 year old male at around 22% body fat. How long would it take me to get to something like 15% body fat following the advice in the sticky.
