8 months here, gains haven't slowed down. Endurance is much higher than it was when I began. Should be starting to get where I want to be in another 1 year and 3 months.

same-ish here. in the beggining i didn't know what to do, and i didn't have a routine. only later along the way did i learn what to do. even then i've neglected my training and my diet, so i've made few gains in strenght and less so in size because i'm pretty sure i'm on average eating below maintenance all year round with episodes of weeks at most when i'm eating at maintenance or higher

Well Ive been lifting for almost 2 but I had leg surgery and then an injury set me back so im just getting back to my old strength and its practically like starting over again.

I want to maximize fat loss, minimize muscle loss and/or maximize muscle gain.
I was thinking of doing PSMF with SS and just adding fruit once a week.
If you want to do PSMF then you don't really carb load, you refeed to replenish glycogen stores, normalize hormones, and keep you sane.
Tomorrow marks day 7 of PSMF for me. I'm not going to be doing the free meals. The diet is crazy effective, but exhausting as fuck. You will not gain any strength on 800 (or whatever low amount) calories per day. You will barely have the energy to get through lifting, and it loses its fun factor when you're so goddamn tired. I'm 5'7 and 190 lbs not too too fat(approx 18 % body fat) my max 1 rep for squat is 285 but my bench is only 160, is there something wrong with me? I can attribute a lot of weight to the fat but I see proffesional body builders that are my height and weigh like 160 lbs. I fucking love sleeping on hard wood floor. I just use a comforter and a pillow. Feels like a massage every time I wake up. I think it has to do with moving around more than a bed which increases circulation. Could be bro science but it feels good for me.

Hey /fit/ I need some help. My dad is morbidly obese, about 6'1" and probably around 370 lbs, approaching 50 years old. He is super self conscious about his weight and has really bad pain in his back and knees. His diet is shit, lots of starches and carbs, literally no vegetables besides legumes and corn. His family had a history of heart disease.
How do I get him to give a shit, and what can I do to help him. A few of my friends around my age have lost parents recently, and that's terrifying to me. I just need help.

You could suggest doing an activity that would be fun for both of you that gets him at least moving away from the couch. For his diet, just talk to him about it and let him know that you'll help if he needs it. Just know that you ultimately can't force him to do anything
