I've tried steaming my face for about 15 minutes, and then using those strips many times. It never works. Keep in mind I don't do it very often, I'm not trying to ruin my skin.
I was thinking about buying an extraction tool, so maybe that would work better? Or should I just go to a dermatologist? Or get a facial?

Wash your face with actual face wash and use a wash cloth not just your hands or some weird synthetic washing utensil. The walmart brand oil-free daily face wash actually works better than the name brand shit twice as expensive. A girl turned me onto it, and although i feel like a fag going into the cosmetics section to buy face wash, i cannot deny that it has cleared up the black heads around my nose.

Stronglifts 5x5 or a variation of Starting Strength from the sticky
Stronglifts is:

I don't see a bodyweight general but I'm trying to get some basic starting routines. My doc says I should either switch to bodyweight or stop working out completely because weightlifting killed my tendon/nerves in my left arm.

Yes, that would be wise.
Usually you'd want your lifts to not be consecutive. For example,if you bench twice a week and squat + dead once a week, you'd want it to look like this, for example:
