What's the best flavor of this brand of Protein Powder? I'm almost done with my Strawberry flavor and it's pretty gross, looking for another that I can mix with either milk or water.

Hi /fit/. I was wondering if you guys knew of any cheap high caloric yet nutritinal foods I could buy to survive the next month as a homeless person. I have around $100 alloted to food expenditures but I'm unsure of which foods would keep me relatively healthy without having to spend what sad amount of money I have left.

For the last week and a half, I've been surviving off of large Crazy Bread with meat sauce from Little Caesar's. It's less than $3 per day, but I know it's not something I can continue to afford in the long run. Any help is much appreciated.

greatest thing ever.
weighed 182.8 yesterday morning before having my christmas feast.

181.6 was this morning's weight... and i was afraid i had over-eaten.

as someone who was formerly type 2 obese, and has played with every weight loss method in the book (even bulimia), IF is the most fool-proof and effective method ever.

literally just don't eat for the first 6-8 hours you wake up, and that is it.

black coffee can help blunt appetite (i don't really use that tip, though).

also you might want to eat half a piece of fruit to maintain liver glycogen levels from time to time (Basically when you feel hunger pangs that don't go away after a few minutes)
though i have been using vitamin gummies instead.

I tried it but counting calories has worked far better for me, and I always know if I'm hitting my macros properly.

IF seems like it's for lazy people who just want to eat whatever without feeling guilty.

So I went to buy some Whey. 2kg of generic whey (120cal/24g protein per scoop) was $40 at the grocery store. At the supplement place, a 900kg tub of Whey (same scoop ratio) was $70. The dude told me that the amino acids in the expensive one are way better than in the cheaper one.
Does this really matter that much, or is it just some way to jew me out of money? Does it really matter, especially for a beginner/novice, how expensive your whey is?

Hello /fit/
Does someone have experience with the Insanity Asylum program?

If you don't know, it's the second part of a hardcore program to get "athletic". The first one is mostly to lose fat but I don't need that. The black instructor is gay haha
My goal is to get my worn out body back in shape and see how far I can gain endurance and speed at least once in my life.

I know for a fact it's legit, someone I know got nice results but I need a bit more input before I get to it : I still hesitate with the Bronson method which seems very interesting too.

make sure you are doing your calf raises on as tall an object as you can manage, for a full ROM.

make sure you keep your spine straight and knees locked (i.e. don't cheat the weight up there using momentum from your legs and back).

if you are still having trouble feeling it in your calves, try playing around with supination/pronation of the foot.

outside of that, bodyweight single-leg calf raises are a good follow-up to weighted calf raises.

i also like to do calf-based plyometric work after i train calves

rate my macros /fit/

just starting lifting so ive heard I can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time for a while.

scooby says 30% of kcals should be protons, but ive heard youre supposed to eat 1*body weight in lbs. Which should I go with?

Also, is a lower carb % good for losing fat so I dont have any unused carbs stored as fats?
