I like listening to burial when I lift alone. Doesn't have much lyrics and its an almost ambient noise feel. Helps me concentrate on the lift without much distraction
deathcore/hardcore always gets me in the mood. i used to enjoy it a lot when i was younger, but only go to a few gigs/listen when working out now.

People will argue that shit all day long. The truth is that for some people it's enough, and for some it isn't. Either way, if you're just starting out it will be sufficient to get some growth going, but at a later point you may want to incorporate some isolation exercises and see if it has an effect.
