Which of these do you prefer and why:
Buffalo Trace
Bulleit
Evan Williams
Jack Daniels
Jim Beam
Knob Creek
Maker's Mark
Old Grand Dad
Jim Beam is easily the best in the lot, and I haven't even tried the other ones, I just know.
Bulleit is the best on your list, because the rest are pretty much all bottom shelf.

Buffalo Trace in the best on your list. Don't listen to any of the plebs try say otherwise.
Can we have a picky eater thread?
>A week ago at Christmas
>Everybody at the house for dinner
>Lots of stuff there, and I made a lasagna
>Several picky eaters coming
>Aunt doesn't eat anything she "doesn't like," particularly those things she's never fucking tried before
>Little brother doesn't eat anything aside from Mcdonalds and the odd reheated shitty...

>Exposure, plain and simple. Scientists tell us that aversions fade away when we eat moderate doses of the hated foods at moderate intervals, especially if the food is complex and new to us. (Don't try this with allergies, but don't cheat either: few of us have genuine food allergies.) Exposure works by overcoming our innate neophobia, the omnivore's fear of new foods that balances the biological urge to explore for them. Did you know that babies who are breast-fed will later have less trouble with novel foods than those who are given formula?...

Was at my girlfriend's house on Christmas Eve. Her sister was making meat pie and roasted broccoli + cauliflower. I noticed their nephew eating Mcnuggets before dinner was ready. He wasn't a lard ass or anything, so I figured he was one of those picky eaters I'd heard about. He just sat infront of an empty plate during dinner. Didn't make a fuss or anything. Shit like that or people who can't drink plain water confuse me though. I can't help but feel like they should just get over it, and I know that's really insensitive to say, but how the...

I hate pepper and would've thrown that shit out to. Lasagna is supposed to be made with cheese sauce and meat, that's it.
Housemates thread. Post dickish things your 'mates do in the kitchen or otherwise. (Parents, siblings, flatmates, suitemates, and roommates included.)
>>7232424
My housemate is a fat piece of shit who constantly lies and steals. She used to constantly leave dishes and whatnot in the kitchen and denied it was hers, but that was solved by me and my cool housemate by acting like dicks to her until she stopped cooking at home and started bumming off her parents for food.
My mom's bf ate the rest of my tendies and mom isn't going shopping again until Thursday.
It's bullshit.
>>7232424
noone ever washed up.....we just threw out perfectly good pans......like a bloody scrapyard outside our back door
Why did it become such a cultural wasteland? People blame it on snow people and their bland as fuck meat and potatoes bullshit, but it has to be something more. Why is the Midwest scared ofvegetables that aren't corn, potatoes, and cabbage? Why is everything so salty and sugary? Where are the standards? I've lived here all my life and it pisses me the fuck off how right /ck/ is about us. That Peggy Hunt story is dead accurate, too. People here honestly marvel at things like balsamic vinegar and fucking pretzel buns. Even my own mother gets excited about the latest brisket burger or fucking something something steak sandwich from the regional fast food places. For fuck's sake when I was younger I was constantly discouraged from trying new food because "you might be allergic to it". Things like dragonfruit and anything made out of the country aside from basic Italian brands and the sort. I'm a bit tipsy and probably won't even be this mad about the Midwest a few hours from now, but fucking shit.
Food is a communal affair. Growing up in a homogenous environment where being different in any way is seen as a subversive act discourages restaurants from distinguishing themselves and discourages people from eating food that might be seen as "pretentious" or "elitist", let alone foreign.
Ironically this allows certain cultures (for example the somalis of minneapolis, the mexicans of chicago, etc) to retain a purer version of their cuisine than might be possible in more cultured places. The locals will not even bother with it so they simply cater...

Name a better home bake pizza brand
Pro-tip: you probably can't but I'm open to suggestions
I'm really not a fan of their rising crust pizzas, way too doughy.
Their thin crust pizzas are decent enough though, as far as frozen pizza goes anyway.

Are wraps a viable alternative to sandwichs?
>>7231378
yeah sure but i find the texture of them to be terrible for some reason
Yup. They're nice for eating omelettes.
>>7231378
Wraps are for people that don't know how to roll a burrito.
Burritos>wraps>sandwiches.
It's all about how well the food is contained for ease of consumption.

I love over reheating spaghetti, long enough to the point where it gets dry and crusty and clumps together. It's just so damn delicious.
I eat spoon fulls of honey. I don't give a fuck.
