I'm planning on making some waffles this Sunday and I'm wondering what some great things are to put on/in them aside from the usual blueberries or chocolate chips. What are some of your favorite things to have with your waffles?

I like to soak my waffles in rum. I keep a big bag of rum soaked waffles in my desk at work. Nobody can fire you for eating too many soggy waffles.

Bread: a nameless rye delivered every Friday morning to a certain Polish grocery in New Britain, CT, and sold out within half an hour - the target market is old Polish folks with the time to go buy it
Meat: smoked kielbasa from Martin Rosol's meat shop in New Britain, CT - people from all over the area swarm there around Easter time
Mustard: Boetje's, birthed 126 years ago in Rock Island, IL - but, according to coworkers here, superior to anything they've had before

Are there any foods that shouldn’t be eaten together?
I was told you shouldnt eat some fruits (durian) with alcohol. I recently ate strawberries and had some beer, made me feel sick. could have been something else i guess.
Lots of people like fruits and dairy but highly acidic fruits like pineapple and cottage cheese are supposed to just destroy you if you have acid reflux.
