Now that the dust has settled, can we talk about how crap this game is?
I usually like Bethesda games, but this feels rushed and plays like shit.

I'm having a blast tbqh. There's way more shot to do than I thought, I'm swamped in quests at the moment. Just killed the Mirlock (That right?) Queen down at the Castle. That was a fucking tough fight let me tell you. Acid spitting cunt.

I do honestly wonder how long they taken to make it. I have a bit of doubt that it was straight after Skyrim as they were still making DLC until mid 2012.
At most this seems like a 3.5 year job, and it shows in odd ways, like effort in some places and none in others.
This is the first time I honestly felt the phenomenon of "It's a good game just not a good x game".
Played it for 2 hours. Haven't touched it since.
Glad I pirated it.
Might be for some, but it wasn't for me. Has no appeal.

Just picked up Armored Core 4 used the other day, but have yet to play it.
What should I expect, played one on ps2 I think a bunch back in the day.
Master Race reporting, weeb robo-ballerinas made of spikes and fairy dust and fueled by teenage angst need not apply.
So how exactly does saving in AC:Nexus work? Seems a bit weird.

What the fuck is this game even supposed to be about.
I'm some kind of amnesiac of a secret force currenty embroiled in infighting, my mentor and commander are openly discussing their plans to have me backstab the other with me, I have a scarab of myself sending a message to me in an armor that's not mine, there is A TUTORIAL FOR USING THE TUTORIAL MENU, I got hacked by a door, enemies spawn out of thin air and see through mist, the upper left logs keeps telling me I gained "brouzouf" whatever that means, and when I ran out of ressurectors I was summoned back to the portal where a monk in power armor told me what just happened hadn't happened, and that was just in the first level.
Then in the next level I found a monster in a dead end behind a movable wall who told me "I am stuck in my cycles of guilt" once before shutting up, and then I dove into sewers that must be easily twenty meters underground, are FUCKHUGE, span the ENTIRE LEVEL with NOTHING INSIDE THEM BUT DEAD ENDS.
Every time I launch the game, I can talk to the corpse near the portal who wears my mentor's armor and says "It is true I killed my mentor. And yet, I am not his murderer."
And at random the games tells me shit like "You've killed a lizardman", " Bullshit! Ultra failed attack" even though I just shotgunned a guy into the next room.
Does this ever make sense? Why do I have access to the anti material rifle but not the revolvers? Which fucking language is everyone speaking?

Wow I'm sold sounds crazypants

Oh,and I forgot in the base, there is a public archive in which one logs says "You just fired four large caliber bullets into your mentor's head", despite my mentor being alive and giving me orders and no one giving a shit about that. Also there's a guy who supposedly is in the faction we have tensions with who talks about how the monsters represent inner human workings and shit.

just do stuff until stuff happens.
Remember back when we still thought we were going to get a mainline Animal Crossing game on the Wii U, and we had a ton of really nice Animal Crossing threads full of discussion?
Let's try that again.
What would you like to see in a new Animal Crossing game for console?
http://strawpoll.me/5988531
Here's a strawpoll with some of the most common requests.
One of the most requested additions was the ability to have a neighbor move in as a roommate.
Do you think this would be a good idea?
What all would you like to be able to do with a roommate?
>Thickabelle
Boner, no.
If AC's going to return to consoles, it needs to be a whole new genre of game, with classic Animal Crossing on the side.

> The Game Awards are meant to celebrate "the year's best" in video gaming, but they're reinforcing one of the worst ideas in the industry today -- that women occupy a smaller place than men.
> On Thursday, the organization revealed its nominees for this year's awards. Along with nominations for titles like came a bit of detail about the panel of judges who helped select them: A roster of the 32 people on the jury appears to list only one woman.
> While we won't speculate about the gender identity of the judges, it seems that the overwhelming majority of judges' names are male.
> The imbalance speaks to a larger problem in the video game industry. The Game Awards could have asked 10,000 women to serve on its jury for all we know, but it was content to move forward with only one on the panel. What message does this send, exactly? That fair representation of women shouldn't be seen as a priority in the gaming industry? That's odd given that nearly half of "game players" are female -- and women like Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir are spearheading some of the biggest video game releases today.
Why is this allowed?
>>316906479
The judges really should be 50% male and 50% female since men and women prefer different things in games.
I mean if the judges were 31 women and 1 man /v/ would be up in arms.
Would they complain if it were 31 women and 1 guy?
>>316906479
>That's odd given that nearly half of "game players" are female
Triggered.
Also daily reminder that segregating "men and women" is just as dumb as segregating gamers into arbitrary categories like short, tall, brunetta, redhead, twenties, thirties, nationality, etc.
What is the scariest thing you've ever seen in a video game?

I would say my first time going crazy in Amnesia.
I don't know what people thinks but I think not being able to interact much with the enemies make horror games way more intense.

Looking like Undertale will be getting a console release eventually.

>Generally I made UNDERTALE exactly as I wanted. It's not very much, but this is actually the limit of my power, so I'll accept it. Also, for everything people think is bad there's someone else who likes it. So changing [most things] is unthinkable.
>Best change would be to make the blue bullets more visible to colorblind people. Second best change would be to make the piano puzzle more accessible to people with low music/memorize skill (such as a visible solution available somewhere).
>For those who haven’t played it yet I won’t go into specifics, but Undertale sometimes does things that might not be the most accessible thing to some players – screwing around with the game itself in fundamental ways that could be difficult to play. These moments are often so important to the story and the experience that was so widely praised, that trying to rectify them would be more difficult.
>Generally I made UNDERTALE exactly as I wanted.
horseshit, toby. you haven't finished hard mode, the dog battle, and genocide is horribly rushed
i wish the game was in development for a few more months so he could add those things. i want to see a full hard mode implemented so i can play through the game again

I'd love it. Sans was pure fucking fun and hype.
Literally why? I hate Undertale, but this is a 200 MB Game Maker piece of shit. It gains absolutely nothing with a console release
