There was a video with him against a Nu who was trying to zone him out. She threw out a sword and he used his distortion and it hit her from fullscreen and was so fast she didn't even have time to recover from the initial summoning animation and block. After that she was scared to poke with sword for the rest of the matches even fullscreen whenever the Naoto had 50 meter.
That's gonna be some shit if it keeps the same range and speed in the final version.

Use his anti-airs (2.c&6.b), his j.a is good, and practice block strings with ignis while being aware of its meter. His 2.c and 6.b anti-airs can also be jump cancelled on block, so practice using them in your pressure.
And don't spam your 236.a too much. It can be easily grabbed or counterhit.

I consider Relius to be a more offensiveand even vastly more enjoyableCarl of sorts. I never mained him, but I've done a few random select matches, and he's pretty easy. You'll probably get a fucking kick out of his Lauger move (236C), because it has a ground and air version that chains into other special moves he does with Ignis.
My favorite thing to do was his 214C which sends Ignis after the enemy to do consecutive hits on them on one side, while move up behind them for to maximize pressure, and see if I cant get a free grab.

I'm going to ask Celica out. She'll refuse when Ragna conveniently shows up out of no where and says she's dating him. Ragna is temporarily shocked for a moment but composes himself once he sees that I'm a sweaty greasy fat lard of an old otaku. I say that I want them to prove it to me. There is an attempt at some of that. At the very least, Ragna, Jin, and Noel get a little development and a little introspection. It just never sat right with me though because it felt like they took one step back from CS and then one step forward.
Honestly, I think the biggest problem with Chronophantasma was probably Azrael. A huge chunk of the story was focused around containing this one character. All those meetings in Kagura's office that everyone kept complaining about? Most of those were related to fucking Azrael in some way or another. They put up this whole stupid tournament just to take care of him. To make matters worse, he didn't even have anything to do with most of the deeper plot. In fact, I don't think Hazama so much as mentioned Azrael's name even once. Azrael was literally just that random element that came out of nowhere, had nothing to do with anything, and forced most of the characters to focus solely on him for the duration that he was an issue.

I think Azrael was a bit refreshing in some ways. Because all of Ragna's rivals except perhaps Hakumen are generally smaller than him, so it was nice seeing him go up against someone so large and imposing.
Sol would never get to have anything like that. He's one of the most imposing members of the case, so it'd be really difficult for anyone to look more imposing than he does. I mean, there was Justice, but she's dead now.

Well, Ragna's the last boss in Azrael's arcade mode, and he's one of the few guys who can actually stand up to the big lug. So they kinda are by default. I mean, Ragna complained, but he seemed to be doing better in their fight in Azrael's arcade mode than Kagura did in the main story.
There's also the fact that Azrael's heavily fixated on Ragna, while Ragna just has a lot of natural enmity for the guy.
Speaking of Azrael, how does anyone play him? I play this game to get away from Link Fighter IV and this motherfucker's combos rely on them. If it weren't for the fact that his combos look so fucking cool (namely because of how brutal they look), I wouldn't even glance at him.

I don't think his links are too bad. They're significantly more lenient than some of the ones in SF4. You could probably get them down fairly quickly if you wanted to. Execution-wise, I think Azrael is pretty easy.
I'm not a fan of how Az plays though. It's like they wanted to make someone similar to Slayer, but Az has none of the things that make Slayer actually interesting and fun to play. I don't know, the weakpoints drive just doesn't do it for me, I guess.
He does have fantastic looking moves though. And he's one of the only characters in the game that I get a sense of weight and power from his attacks. They did a really good job with the blurred sprites and the sounds they used for him.

So here's what we know so far. Ragna's lost his memories, but he hasn't lost his knowledge. He knows what the Izayoi is, but he doesn't know why he has that knowledge. On the other hand, he's unfamiliar with Sector Seven or the Azure Grimoire, so I guess he doesn't retain everything. Memory loss is weird.
Also, he's way more calm and laid back than usual. Like in Phase 0. I guess losing his memories did more good than harm for him. He's not constantly angry or impatient.
