Legacy servers are confirmed.
Mark Kern just concluded his meeting with Blizzard on the topic of legacy servers. They had the source code all along. They're currently waiting to meet with the Nostalrius team in the coming weeks to gain insight on how they managed to get their server running.
So now that that's all out of the way and we know for certain that we'll be playing on official legacy servers in the coming months, what race/class/spec will you be maining? Favorite zone/city? Favorite dungeon/raid?

Pretty much yes. The more experienced teams are working on Scalebound (which could be good maybe? doesn't look like my thing) and Neir.
This is fucking garbage.You arrive at Far Harbor to meet the wonderfully well written characters Captain Avery and Allen. Allen, a white male, immediately threatens you because you're an outsider. That would make sense, except that Far Harbor is a FUCKING PORT. OUTSIDERS PROBABLY SHOW UP ALL THE FUCKING TIME. You soon learn that Allen's hostility and xenophobia are meant to be character faults in the culture of Far Harbor--he hates the nearby colony of synths, who, as Fallout has made very clear, are sapient and not evil, but a target of 'racism' (there's an underground railroad FFS). Allen continues acting like 'Creative Writing 101 Dickhead' while you travel to Acadia, a synth REFUGEE COLONY, where you meet DiMA (name never explained btw) who proceeds to drop LE EPIC TWIST by insinuating that you are a synth, to which you can reply that no, you aren't a synth, to which he says 'well what's your earliest memory?' In a stunning moment of writing genius, Far Harbor forgets that your character was either canonically a lawyer or a soldier in the past and doesn't allow you to mention this, instead only allowing you to mention the beginning of the game. (Wow Todd, this is just as good as Bioshock's writing! 10/10 from IGN!) Again, that would be fine, except that when you say that DiMA says "curious how you don't remember anything before that, hmmm?" as if that in itself casts doubt onto whether or not you are a human. At this point, we realize that the writers forgot A MAJOR PLOT POINT from the main game being that synths are POST WAR technology and that the MC and Shaun's DNA are important for synth research because they have PRE-WAR DNA.
So we're off to a great start.

Each character is an attempt to target a specific demographic. Soldier 76 is designed to grab modern FPS players. As Pharah was designed to attract Quake players.

Other than that, the game has been great so far. The confederation system makes sure the AI keeps up with your at some level. Empire campaign is soon done, as soon as I catch that motherfucking chaos army.
