It had some weak writing in some karts but overall it was better than season 1.

/TV/ IS VINDICTATED AGAINThe tone is fucked. There is no atmosphere. It's a generic Disney action flick with Star Wars iconography plastered all over it. There is no time given to set any of the scenes or establish the characters. The score is TERRIBLE. There genuinely isn't a single memorable sequence. Character development is nonexistent and plot armour abounds. Rey is a mary sue on steroids. Finn is there to sweat and scream and take any tension away from scenes. Kylo is an angsty bitch who was only lacking a sand monologue. Every scene with Ford and Fisher was cringy as fuck.
The biggest problem was JJ though. He can't direct with any style. Everything is downhill from Jakku. His story was paint by numbers and the way he relied on MUH POETRY to justify some of the laziest writing in recent memory is bordering on offensive.
Everything is fucked. The movie literally gets worse with every scene.
