Should I watch this film before watching the series by the same name? Should I watch the film either way?

>Should I watch this film before watching the series by the same name?
I don't know; I haven't seen the series.
>Should I watch the film either way?
Yes, it's the best modern mafia film.
>>64139662
Okay thanks.
Shows you how designer Italian clothes are no better than mass produced chink shit: It all supports organised crime.
>BUT NO DAMAGE
The only real good character. Any other opinion is pleb.
>>64138844
Literally felt like a video game when this fishy fuck came on screen
>>64138844
>I'm hit
Fucking racist JewJews killing off the only diverse pilot. All joking aside I hate this shit. I was hoping he'd survive and wasn't surprised he was probably the most expendable character.
Red leader, standing by.
>Tall (1.93 m)
>Volunteered for Marines after 9/11
>Hates Muslims
>Great actor (via having to pretend to be into Lena Dunham)
>Most interesting SW villain since Vader
>Hot wife
>Keeps a low profile instead of being a Hollywood douchebag
What's not to like?
His ugly mug
Lanky and deformed
His ears
ITT: characters that are literally you
I'm pretty much the white version of him
I think the moral of the story was, it's really really easy to get away with bullying and gang rape?
>>64138790
>raping uggos
just stick your dick in a sock tbqh
>>64138790
ugly af
>>64138790
No it's a dramatization of something that has no doubt happened before to get the audience to question what's really happening in their child's life at school, or just at school in general.
Same thing Megan Is Missing was going for in a different situation.
Have you seen it? I recently watched it for the first time when my friend recommended it to me, and I wanted to know what you guys think about it. I found it surprisingly good.
>>64138672
I found it contrived, inaccurate, manipulative, and monotonous.
>>64139181
how is it any of those things
>>64139181
Monotonous in some parts, sure. Contrived, well, maybe in some ways. Manipulative and inaccurate though?
Was this good? I remember it flopping hard but then again so did 13th Warrior.
>>64138653
All I thought about was how much this was like Avatar.... It came out before ABATAP
>tfw you'll never help Space Caesar and Space Antony conquer Mars
I still really don't know how to feel about this movie. If this was made in the 70's or even early 80's with the CGI replaced with period appropriate practical effects it would have probably been Star Wars tier.
The actress who played Dejah Thoris was hot as hell though.
So I googled the qt from Independence Day, and it turns out Lisa Jakub is actually pretty based. She quit acting to be a writer, and her personality is 100% waifu material (introvert, didn't have her first kiss until her husband, she had anxiety, ect). Just thought I'd share this.
http://lisajakub.net/2013/03/22/hello-my-name-is/
So both of the girls from Ms. Doubtfire quit acting?
>>64138400
Don't forget Heather Langenkamp, aka Nancy from the original A Nightmare On Elm Street, who quit acting and co-owns a practical special effects company with her husband.
>>64138400
>first kiss
>husband
Disgusting
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>professional reviews blind enough to somehow get it to a 95% on RT
>reddit sucking this movie off, but when they do critiques it's petty nonsense
>/tv/ shitposting in an endless stream of unconstructive bait
There is no good place to discuss TFA.

Talk about itamongst your friends
>>64138358
I'll talk Star Wars with you.
The problem that I have with Disney making more Star Wars is that George Lucas went to great lengths to try something unique with Star Wars. It wasn't simply a blockbuster that was chronologically extended with sequels and prequels, he aimed to create something unique among movies, a true saga. A series of connected works that can stand on their own but also form a greater whole, with certain elements recurring throughout and parallels being drawn between installments...

Of course Disney sees it as dollar signs. We got exactly the Star Wars movie that Disney would make and that's what we're going to keep getting.
If George didn't want that to happen he shouldn't have sold it and, instead, should have made good movies with it, unlike his shitty prequels
Who's the better actor?
>Leonardo DiCaprio?
or
>Matt Damon?
Give reasons why.
DiCaprio.
It takes no skill to do the Bourne movies, but I'm still surprised they went with Damon.
>>64138221
DiCaprio. The more vertical lines on your forehead, the greater actor you become.
If I wanted to be petty and just go by their latest movies:
>The Revenant
>The Martian
Well. Fucking Damon wins. Seriously, he has come a LONG way in his career. Is he the best actor? Not by damn sight. But is he better than "MY ONLY METHOD OF ACTING IS SCREAMING"? By a long mile.
who /reddit/ here?
From what I can tell based on the leaks from /qa/ nearly 300 posters out of the 500 that actively post

>only 500 people post on /tv/
Try an order of magnitude higher
>>64139041

Why are you criticizing The Force Awakens?
It's the best movie in the series according to top critics.
>>64138149
>according to top critics
Hello shilleddit!
>>64138149
the scores for Episodes 1 and 2 are higher on RT right now.
>>64138305
That's all critics
Was this the best film of 1999? Possibly its generation?
Stop breaking the first rule of Fight Club.
>>64138139
If you're 16

Name a movie more original and daring than Fight club for its time.

The lowest of bait
what did he mean by that
We ask George for forgiveness and we beg him to save us from Marvel Wars The Reddit Awakens
George please forgive me for the horde of redditors that scared you away. Please come back and continue your glorious craft the way you proved a decade ago.
>>64137976
Please make more original science-fiction movies. Do your own thing and compete with these perversions of your work. Blow Disney the fuck out with another masterpiece of THX1138 proportions.
>>64137976
We're sorry!
