Why was a stormtrooper placed in Rey's torture chamber? Rey was tied down and had no place to go. Wouldn't you expect a closed door and her being tied down to be enough to prevent her from escaping?
If they needed to have someone to keep an eye on her, couldn't they have simply used a camera or a protocol droid?
Why weren't there any security cameras in the facility? Wouldn't that have been an easy way to spot Rey, Finn, Han, and Chewie? Why was it so easy to turn off the shields? Why did the grey stormtrooper cooperate to turn off the shields? Why would you grant access to the vital shields of the base to a simple higher ranked stormtrooper? Also, didn't the grey stormtrooper know that even were she to survive, she would be court martialed and sentenced to death? For such an technologically advanced society, they lacked almost all means of proper security. Who designed the security of that base?
