Honeybadgers. They're smaller, quicker, and the cassowaries would have a hard time getting down that low.

Gurps; Magnetic telekinesis of an insanely high level, or alternatively, control:magnetic fields, which would cost in the hundreds of points.

Otherwise he's a 500 point+ mutant in that game system. Plot armor notwithstanding.
>>
>>46104733
he doesn't have TK

he has vaguely defined magnetic manipulation powers. (his silver age powers were crazy)

as an antagonist?

VERY tough. able to fight an entire team and win tough. final boss level tough

--Case 001--

Chicago, the city of cut-throat politicians, corrupt policemen, and the militant mob.

Here in the Windy City, the smells of stench, smog, and cigarette smoke is rampant at all hours of the day. While murder, prostitution, illegal gambling and drinking take place at night.

While New York is the city that never sleeps, and Detroit is the automotive capital of the world. Chicago is a city that has almost always been corrupt, and carries with it the reputation of being the murder capital of the world. The mob runs rampant, and the citizens are too scared to go out at night due to roving street gangs.

You are just a lowly detective. A little wet behind the ears, and prone to making mistakes that may or may not have yourself bounded and gagged, covered in cement and dumped into Chicago River.

But let’s worry about that later, you woke up at 05:30 this morning, brewed some shitty ground coffee, and made your way to work to take your first case.

Chicago at this point in time has around 30 homicide cases a week. It’s a shame though that murder is the only way you can pay your bills, but at least your job is to set the people’s minds at ease.

Today is March 15th 1920, and also marks your sisters 18th birthday, you wouldn’t want to forget her either. Rent is also due at the first of every month, so you better get cracking.

“Time to go to work.” You say as you exit your apartment.

--End of Scene—

--Character Creation--

Just a few things to cover before we make it to the station.

Current Account Balance:

$50.00

Rent Due by End of the Month:

$75.00

System is 1d100(+,-)(bonus/malus) Best of Three, 100 is a critical success, and 1 is a critical fail no matter what else is rolled, unless it is the opposing number, where in that case it cancels out.

Name: (Write-In) (Male Only)
Traits: Pick 3 of the following.

Intuitive:

You have a natural sense of environmental awareness, you know when things are going to go south rather quickly. This has many benefits such as sensing danger and avoiding calamity, but this makes you extremely unlikely to make friends or try new things.

(+10 to Awareness, or Danger Sense Rolls, -10 on Socializing, and Perseverance)

Ham-Fisted:

You are more of a brawler than a shooter, you prefer to beat people with your fists or with a night stick. This is something you’ve acquired after too many street fights in your youth among Chicago’s many street urchins.
Unfortunately however you are terrible at operating any delicate machinery, or handling firearms.

(+10 Unarmed, and Melee/Improvised Weapon. -10 Firearms/Dexterity checks)

Loose Lipped:

You have a big mouth, something which has always got you in, and out of dangerous situations in the past. If you managed to succeed, you managed to get what you wanted, however if you failed, you may have found yourself in a dumpster one to many times.

(+10 Bluff/Intimidate, and -10 Sense Motive/Danger Sense)

Human Wall:

You stand at a massive unimaginable height, you are a giant, capable of restraining even the largest of criminals, but that also means you’re a big, and tempting target. Despite being a very big guy for most people, you tend to be rather sluggish and heavy footed.

(+10 Grapple and bonus health, -10 Dodge and Sneak)

Kind-Hearted:

You are kind, and stand for all that is right in the world. You always believed in being the bigger man in any situation. You are also more likely to commit selfless acts, and take the time out of your day to help everyone. Unfortunately though, this tends to make others take advantage of your kind nature.

(+10 Persuade and Disposition with Good aligned people, and -10 Bluff/Intimidate and Disposition with Evil aligned people.)

(2/3)
>>
>>46098491

The Judge:

You are told by people that you are rational, and well-meaning, but cold hearted. Since Justice is blind, you are fair to all, until proven otherwise. To you, the law is absolute, and there is no middle ground. Making exceptions for people and their offenses is out of the question for you.

(+10 Sleuthing/Firearms, -10 Improvise/Compromise)

Smoker:

You’ve been smoking cigarettes since you were a teenager, and this pastime has turned into quite the addiction. With smokes, you are seen as a confident individual, and relatively level-headed. Without smokes you are a social nightmare.

(+10 Persuade/Socializing, -10 Awareness) (when high)

(+10 Awareness, -10 Persuade/Socializing) (when sober)

Short-Stack: (Cannot take Human Wall)

You are relatively short, and rather self-conscious about your height. Due to being about as tall as the average American woman, you are looked down on by most men in your field. However that doesn’t mean you can’t find yourself too easy to spot in the urban jungle of Chicago.

(+10 Dodge and Sneak, -10 Grapple and less health)

Greed is Good:

You love your family and care for your friends dearly. However in reality, your true love is money. Fortunately due to this you have great ways of earning and “earning” money. However these selfish actions will likely make you as corrupt as most Chicago cops, and politicians.

(+10 Money related rolls which add to your assets, -10 Good aligned individuals disposition)

Brutal:

You are a total savage, and have an extreme lack of empathy, you are extraordinarily violent and go out of your way to completely escalate situations to the most blood soaked alternative. Where-ever you go you leave a path of carnage in your wake.

(+10 all Combat Related Actions, -5 on all disposition rolls.)

You sit in the conference room dimension, arms crossed, brow furrowed. Your advisors, or what's left of them, sit at their places at the long table, all silent for fear of raising your temper. Even Vanessa, always cheerful, keeps her peace while you ruminate on the situation.

Marigold, along with your elite fighters known as the Hellraisers, have defected, stolen mounts, and have fled. Kyle, your ward and trainee, is tailing and spying on a group of adventurers who may bring your hard work crashing down. And of course, the kingdom far to the west, beyond what was once Theon, are still poised to attack.

You sigh, and lean back in your swivel chair. Eventually, Duncan clears his throat.

"My dark lord, I understand your frustration l, but we must act soon. The longer we wait, the worse things will be."

Duncan is right. It's time to act. You straighten your back and begin giving orders.

Who will track down Marigold?

With the drop-off in activity as the league has finishe we might consider letting the generals drop off for a little while until we start the sign-ups again. I don't think there's very much format-wise to discuss - I believe we're still continuing with fresh TV1000 Rookies only for at least one more season before considering a TV split.

Under your exhortation, work resumes on the temple. Earth is raised, layered with stones to hold it in place and the ditch is dug, dozens of feet pounding the earth flat and solid and strong and the two paths that will sweep around the mound and up to the top start to be dug in. It will take some time before the hill raises to its full height and grass covers it once again and just as long before it is ready for the construction that will stand atop it. Great standing stones will mark the path up to a central space where statues of the gods will stand, carved into the pillars that hold up the roof of the temple proper. Even if the roof should fall, or the walls collapse, the stones and the pillars and the mound will stand for years, even generations to come, for your children and your children's children to remember your deeds. All that is in the future however, as for now, you still need to construct your creation. Your people are motivated, but there is still a long, long way to go and the materials will not be easy to come by.

Time passes and it is now early summer, the warm sun beating down on one and all.

The traders are glad to see you back at the market place. They once again offer their exotic goods, but at your suggestion of them transporting raw material for the temple, the smiles fade and there's a lot of concerned discussion. Building materials are heavy and take up a lot of space they could use for smaller, lighter and higher-value goods. Your offer would have to be VERY enticing and probably include magic as well as mundane goods.

The traders are all very eager at the idea of having a safe haven they can rely upon, as well as your offer of healing whenever they need it. However, they are unsure how much they can help you, given the sheer difficulty in transporting large cargo so far. The concept of a trading 'depot' is somewhat too advanced for anyone's current understanding of trade and exchange and so never enters into the conversation. Eventually, they agree to bring what they can, in exchange for your preferential treatment.
>>
>>46079040

It takes a lot of haggling. The furs are among the more exotic and rare good the traders possess. As you try to negotiate a fair price in exchange for the more common goat skins and useful bones that you've accumulated, the traders spin stories of the spotted beasts that once wore those gold and black skins. Apparently, they would hide in trees, basking in in the hot sun and attack their prey with great ferocity in sudden ambushes. One of the traders shows you a hooked claw longer than his finger as proof. You have to admit that you wouldn't want to face one of those beasts in battle, especially if they are half as fierce as the trader says.

>You bartered for fine exotic furs that can be used for higher-quality items
>>
>>46079078
You drive the hardest bargain you possibly can. The price the traders demand for the bright beads, on top of the furs, is unbelievable and almost completely drains you for goat horn and skin, but finally, they are in your possession. You've never seen anything quite like them; like stone, but brighter than anything you've ever seen. The traders tell you that they are bartered from a tribe far from the valley that knows how to pull them from a fire and given their colour, like a sunset on the river, you can easily believe it. They warm easily in your hand too...

Beren is delighted by them and asks if you can make her a necklace, but Noh quietly inquires why you'd give so much for something so useless and purely decorative.
"We could have had the stone for good tools, or the crystal I've seen you use for magic," he points out. "Why these in particular?"

Friend talking about Fate Stay bad guy Gilgamesh.
Says that his Character sheet lists him as Lawful Good.
"Cause he's the king, and He makes he Laws, and He's the one who says what's good and what isn't."

My first reaction: "BullSHIT!"
Second reaction: debate this and other screwy alignment twists, because I'm wondering if this actually could be a legit thing.
Yes, I'm aware now that his character sheet alignment is CHAOTIC Good, but the point still stands! How the fuck does this guy count as GOOD?
