I'm getting into game design, and this is my first project. I need some advice, comments, critiques, etc.
My friends and I all started with 4e, went to 5e, and we are now getting interested in some PathFinder just for comparison. We found that PF has better rules and systems for skills and combat. However, we generally like the "feel" of 5e and their classes. We long for the more intricate rulings of PF in 5e.
And so, I'm going to do just that: combine them.
Combat, concentration, skills, crafting, checks, etc.

Seriously. How anyone could like PF after playing even a little bit of 5e is beyond me, but this is coming from a guy who almost got burned out on tabletop entirely by running a PF game (with a good group!) for two years.

Yeah, no. Pathfinder has huge holes in it, but it's skill system and combat is overall better imo.
I'm about to play a game pretty soon, and I wanted to be sure that I don't become That Guy.
What should I look for? Also, it's online and I suck at talking over the microphone since there's not as many visual cues. How do I know when it's my turn to talk?

How would you create a fantasy pantheon of Nature deities?

These would be the core gods of the pantheon.
A pantheon of innumerable, nameless gods of the earth. There are no holy texts, no temples, and no real structure to worshipping them. It's very much a folk religion, with a lot of oral tradition and communion with fellow worshippers and being outside, taking it all in.
Of course, there is a darker side. Nature isn't always benevolent. In times of famine or some other natural disaster, worshippers will sacrifice one another in hopes of appeasing the gods. Whether or not it works is up for debate, but anecdotes can be convincing to some.

Has anyone ever ran a game with this before? I'm going to be GMing one soon and it seems like I have to homebrew a lot.
Burning Wheel is often described on /tg/ as "the best system you never played."
People seem to admire the system's mechanics and will often say reading the book provides invaluable insight into how to be a good GM, but you're hard-pressed to find anyone who's actually gotten a group together to play the damn thing.
Someday, though. Someday...

If you are GMing, remember...
1. To strongly consider giving out at least one free "tax feat," like Expertise and pre-errata Melee Training.
2. To use Monster Manual 3/Monster Vault/Monster Vault: Nentir Vale/Dark Sun Creature Catalog math. Avoid or manually update anything with Monster Manual 1 or 2 math.
3. That skill challenges have always been scene-framing devices for the GM, that players should never be overtly told that they are in a skill challenge, and that the Rules Compendium has the most up-to-date skill DCs and skill challenge rules.
If you would like assistance with character optimization, remember to tell us what the what the rest of the players are playing, what books are allowed, your starting level, the highest level you expect to reach, what free feats you receive, if anything is banned, whether or not themes are allowed, your starting equipment, and how much you dislike item-dependent builds.
If you wish to talk about settings, 4e's settings are Points of Light (the planes and the natural world's past empires are heavily detailed in various sourcebooks and magazines), 4e Forgotten Realms, 4e Eberron, 4e Dark Sun, and whatever setting you would like to bring into 4e.

I've just started a 4e campaign with some friends, only one of which has any experience with the edition and the others who avoided it after being told it was crap and did Pathfinder instead.
As a madman, I did at least two combats first session to throw people in the deep end learning the rules from the start. At the end of the session there was the expected "Combat was a bit slow" but I was pleasantly surprised when everyone also agreed that it was mostly on them for just not knowing what they were doing yet, and I got to point out that they were both...

How have you brought economic principles into your game, /tg/? Have you dabbled in new systems for your non-human races? Have you ever had local economies been ruined by murderhobos dropping hundreds of thousands of GP into it?
A lot of games revolve around "get treasure, get paid" but don't go much further than that, right? And there's a big focus on income but not outgoings - you buy gear but there's rarely taxes, you rarely have to pay to feed your family, pay your kid's school fees etc.

Something that always kind of bugged me in fantasy is the common currency thing. Like, sure, everyone recognises gold and uses that as their primary currency but not everyone uses "the gold coin" - they use dollars, francs, marks etc and those only really work in places that recognise the government that printed it. So if your adventurers delve into an ancient crypt and come out with coins minted in a pre-human civilisation, then those are valuable as HISTORICAL RELICS - but fucking worthless as coinage...

The game it's taken from, Red Markets, is set "mid-apocalypse" - five years after the zombies came. The people in question are Takers, who are basically mercenaries/scavengers (professional murderhobos) so they do eat well. Sometimes. If they get enough bounty on their job. That's why the other guy is going through corpses.
My SR group is a bunch of Operators, and they all seem to want to get a job guarding a big-ass ship, something along the lines of being mercenaries hired out for about 6 months to make that sweet dollar dollar.
What kind of adventure hooks and scenarios could they expect to find guarding a giant ship for around 6 months?

Actually, sorry, that's too simple.
Mutiny. Staged by rival corp who got some agents among the crew and the unions raising unrest. It has been staged for months and just erupted when PCs were on the job and the ship was shipping special cargo (weapon prototype, new alloy, etc.).
One of the options should be letting mutineers and loyal crew tear each other to pieces while PCs escape with the special cargo.
Purely hypothetically speaking, imagine a character in a vaguely modern-world setting that keeps having constant deja-vus.
Said deja-vus are usually feature completely inconsequential and irrelevant things, and yet, they usually make the character drop everything he is currently doing and think "Did another of these fucking deja-vus just happen?".
Said character is still in backstory generation phase, so the adventure hasn't begun yet and the character hasn't really done anything heroic by this point.

There's some alternate-dimension fuckery going on, the character's brain is connected to their alt. reality self for Reasons. The reason why they're getting deja-vu is that the other dimension is slightly ahead, time-wise.
