First location to get 3 votes gets picked.
I've crossed the races i don't feel confident i'll deliver an entertaining with.
Every choice is decided by voting, once a course of action is picked I will anounce it and roll on its outcome (no rerolling faggotry, deal with it)
I will be using a hex map made in Hexographer and a world map i will use mainly myself, though you may reveal parts of it depending on how the story goes.

OP checking in, update almost ready folks
A new thread. Perhaps a thread with some good RNG waiting to be had.
We're only a couple bad rolls away from a horrifying death.
Ouh! New thread! New update! Ypikayeah!
Help me understand Nurgle, /tg/.
I understand that he represents fear and stagnation, but I'm trying to wrap my head around his jolly demeanor. Does it maybe come from denial?
I'm also wondering about what brings his followers to him in the first place. Khorne offers strength to defeat your enemies, Slaanesh offers pleasure, Tzeentch offers power and knowledge...but what about Nurgle? Yes, he offers freedom from pain, but his methods seem a bit more devious. It seems almost sneaky to give someone an illness and them offer them a way out.
Thoughts?
>>37275877
>seems almost sneaky
Yeah, the Chaos gods are dicks. All of them. They truly love you. Truly. But they also love to fuck with you.
Anyway, it could be denial. It could also be from mankind's subconcious need to be comforted in their darkest hours. Nurgle is just like your parents and your friends. He's there for you, though all the pain and wounds and sickness. He'll never betray you, no matter how much you think he should. Because you're perfect just the way you are.
>>37275972
So while following the other gods can be pretty damning, it seems like following Nurgle is worth it...sure, you end up as a bloated stinking monstrosity, but you won't really care anyway, right?
>>37276010
Indeed. Your new friends are just as hideous and deformed as you now. The maggots in your rotting flesh will sing your praises, and the plague flies will cheer on your every action. Soon all the pain will go away, and your life will be filled with festival and merriment, and the warm love of Father Nurgle.
And it's just so comfortable a painkiller that you become slave to it, forever.

A few weeks have passed since the Stinkhorns revealed themselves. They have integrated well with the rest of the clan, and seem to be doing okay. Many of your people are wary of their presence, however. Their tentacular appendages have a tendency to snatch at things and slap those who stand too close....

Go tell Qerx we dun goof'd and see if he can help them master their elemental magicks.
You send 5 Drone scouts back to the tower to search it. They manage to trudge through the water and reach the entrance. Upon looking inside, they see nothing but broken furniture and pottery, which they ignore for now. There is a spiral staircase heading up, which they take. The same seems to be on every floor, with an increasing number of gemstones protruding from the walls, which seem interesting.
Upon reaching the peak, you see an altar, covered in red crystals. There is a strange aura around this altar. As one of your drones approaches it; Ruby Crystalids burst from...

Howdy fa/tg/uys!
I need a little bit of help if you don't mind. Long time fantasy/post-apoc gamer and been asked to contribute a NPC deity that will play a part in my DMs story (as much as I'm told). I'm not very versed in Lovecraft/deity's lores however so posting what I have. Any contributions of assistance would be appreciated.

Specific things I'm looking for:
1) How did he survive, what did he do?
2) How/if he draws his powers
3) What powers he would possess
4) Any flavor text you thing I should add, suggest, etc.

Leave HP alone, you haven't understood his work.
His only being that would watch is Nyarly, and please let's not. Overused!
To even assign intellect to Elder Beings that humans could perceive is a stretch. These are forces of nature, their passage bends reality.
Look to the Aesir for cool deities that watch and sometimes care.
If you insist on Mythos then take a Shan or a Mi-go who set himself up as a 'god' to some human cult.
Pic inaccurate.
First 3 places, first 3 races

"If you read this, it means you must have managed to defeat the dragon that stood of guard in front of the access of the temple: I have no words to say how much proud I am of you! You defeated your first dragon! That's worth 5 whole golden stars! (you'll find them at the bottom of this letter, all for you: don't forget to keep track of them, my joy and pride! They are stickers you can put wherever you want!) It's one of the most important stepstone to your path to become a real man, and I am sure that you will do it! Sadly at this time I am not here,...

Knowing my character, I'd poison the cookies, curse the items and find a new dragon to guard them, then let another party believe it was the BBEG and enjoy the resulting chaos.
>>37185548
But that way you'd get no golden sticker stars!
Not that you deserved them, apparently.
>"Ah, you -almost- counterspelled my demon portal summoning, my boy! A jolly good effort of you, well done! Have a star."
>"Now that my plan has succeeded and I have essentially won, I look forward to see how you seize the victory from the jaws of defeat. I know you can do it!"

Sauron did nothing wrong. The elves and men were basically asking for it, being fucking inefficient. What about those pansy numenoreans? Fags. Every last one of them.

You thought yourself dead for a while now.
Existing without your senses, as only a mind able to examine its memories. But oh your memories are thin. You know you are, or were one of the emperors astartes, and a gloried one at that. As you search your mind you can recall hundreds of battlefields of whom you were the hero and textbooks of information on imperial creed and the ways of war.
But you cannot remember who you are, bits and pieces of your days as a scout, where you lost an eye early are the only hints to your identity.
Deep into your inward search...
