Friend Computer wants you to remember that Nomads are drains on society, willing to lure innocent young minds in with promises of genetic abomination furry sex cops, anarchy, and space-pot.

Report all Nomads to Aleph, for a brighter, safer tomorrow.
>>
>>43026413
On that note I am a young-ish mind that has been lured into this particular wargame by the lore and aesthetic of the Nomads. Particularly the Mobile Brigada box.

I want to build my very first infinity army consisting of five linked Mobile Brigada (HMG, Missile launcher, Hacker, LT, Boarding Shotgun), a Jaguar, an HMG Intruder, a FO Alguacil, a Daktari+zondbot, and a Tomcat Engineer.

I'd link to the list, but the official army builder seems to be down this evening. So please trust me when I say that it totals out to an ITS legal 300points 6SWC and 10 regular orders with one AD troop.

Questions:
>Are people alright with proxies? (I intend to proxy the daktari and jaguar with the Nomad starter box alguaciles, proxy Carlotta Kowalski as a standard Tomcat engineer, and use the Grenzer sniper as an HMG intruder stand in).
>Is this list functional and would it be too difficult for a newbie like me to learn?
>>
>>43026967
I know people in the infinity community are typically ok with proxies, since a lot of units that have stats don't have models

Hey /tg/, i'm making a tbs game in a scavenger world/scrap punk setting, where the inhabitants are several generations into mystifying the old world technology.

What are some inspirations i can draw from when dealing with the user interface? I'm looking for things like circuit boards drawn on parchment as flourishes, console fonts scribed in calligraphic ink, mixed with occult stuff like tarot or ouija board designs, to deliver the point that whatever's left of high technology is just used as religious iconography, embellishments and decoration.

Got any rulebooks or similar things with this kind of aesthetic?

Yeah.. you're in completely unknown territory for most people. If you want supplies, you'll have to make most of it up as you go.

Sup, /tg/, been thinking of doing something Fallout-related and was wondering if there were any good ideas any of you had out there for Vaults. I had a concept of a few random number tables that would dictate the Vault's location (within the Thirteen Commonwealths, possibly Canada, though I don't know if any Vaults were built there post-annexation) and its experiment.

I'll start us off with a couple ideas I had:

>Lawbringer Vault: A vault populated primarily with members of Law Enforcement and their relatives, stocked with exhaustive libraries on the criminal justice system and an extremely large surplus of alcoholic beverages.

>The 'Red' Vault: A Vault comprised of exactly 999 Slavic-Americans and One Anglo-American to be appointed as Overseer. At exactly twenty-five years into the Overseer's tenure, a message would activate in his terminal, urging 'Comrade Russovsky' that the time for revolution has come and that the capitalist overseer must be killed, immediately followed by a sheepish plea for the Overseer to disregard the message. The experiment is to see the effects of a leader dealing with a populace he has known for a long time showing hints of being something he cannot trust.

>The Americana Vault: A Vault stocked to the brim with everything that makes America American, with flags and iconography virtually every surface. Every single holovid is American propaganda, every book is American history or fiction with thinly veiled nationalist messages. There are no globes, only maps of America labeled 'The Only Place That Matters'.

Have any ideas of your own, /tg/?

Isn't the last one kinda already what's going on? I mean all vaults are basically like that but with their own experiment added on top
>>
How about a vault filled with psychics or has that already been done?
>>
>>43047023
I mean to the degrees of absolute absurdity. Where even Fallout Pre-War Americans would go 'We GET it, already!' Complete saturation to where no other waking thought could be allowed.

>>43047025
We talking mentalists and magicians or actual psychic psychics?

This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son, shortly after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Genin graduate named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, although your sharp intelligence has recently been making itself apparent. The Chunin Exams have begun. The second day in the Forest of Death.

You leap down and start to drag the massive beast back to the makeshift camp. Your muscles are already aching severely from a full day of non-stop trials, but you press on. A single one of it's claws is enough to encompass your chest, and if you hadn't killed it with such a precision shot, the battle would have been terrible. A single swipe would have been your end. It's a difficult trek back, but you make it, dripping with sweat.

Kneeling down, you get to work with gutting and cleaning the beast. It's incredibly difficult to separate the pelt from the body with your kunai. On more than one instance you either slip, or get hooked on a strong bit of fiber. It tears the pelt at the edges, causing it to look frayed and ripped as you take it away. To your left is a small pile of tiger fur, from your mistakes.

For some reason, you decide to leave the pelt attached to the skull. It might make a cool helmet and cowl, after all.

Gutting it and removing the pelt were the easy parts. Now you'll have to prepare sections of meat for the morning. You've used a large boulder to lay the flesh down without becoming too dirty, and wrap it in long leaves to prevent it from becoming infest with insects. At least, too many instects. In fact, as it is, bugs are swarming the area and threatening to completely ruin your hard work. You curse to yourself, unsure of what to do, until Ai steps in next to you and starts to spray the air with a small bottle. The insects fly away.

She looks well rested, if a bit worse for wear. She wordlessly goes back to the tree and sits down, taking a deep breath before speaking. "Where's Kichiro?"

You finish preparing the meat. "He's supposed to be out hunting, or something. I happened to catch this guy while he was gone."

She nods. "I see."

You are Ur'shal, Chieftain of the Stonetusk Clan and Warlord of the Wastes. To date, all of your encounters with other races have followed a fairly predictable pattern of conflict and enslavement, which makes the events of this morning something of a curiosity. A half-elf by the name of Yselt had a letter delivered to your hut by way of homunculus, raising questions on the security of your camp for one thing, requesting a meeting for your mutual benefit. From what information you've garnered about this individual from your elf slaves, you think you can rule out vengeance from her list of motives, the picture painted is a more selfish, ruthless and amoral one than that. Still, you cannot rule out the possibility that she intends to lead you into an ambush, which is why you have gathered together a suitable party to attend the meeting with you.

With Dru'ak and the rest of your honorguard, supported by Ya'zada, Izannia and Vaki, you should be more than prepared to deal with any schemes the halfbreed might have. It's a stark, clear morning over the wastes, though it maintains a closeness to it which makes you suspect storms brewing over the jungles to the south. Yselt wishes to meet with you at a split rock a couple of hours to the east, too far away for further backup from your clan to arrive quickly should it become necessary. You know the location well enough however to know that the ground is flat and open around the landmark in question, which would make it a hard spot to hide an ambush.

Ya'zada seems to be itching for action, a lopsided, one-tusksed smile across her features, while Dru'ak, in contrast, remains as stoic as ever. Izannia stifles a yawn as she steps up alongside you, looking distinctly unhappy to have been dragged from her slumber at this early hour, grumbling something about uppity elf-kin not setting their meetings for more civilized hours. You've allowed the slave her arms and armor, you doubt she'd pull anything at this stage, and the explanation you drew from her about her magical abilities makes you doubt that she'd be much less dangerous without them.

Vaki sticks close to you, hanging just slightly behind as you walk, which you soon figure out is the little fey trying to use you as a mobile source of shade. She's already worked her way through two waterskins on the journey, and you're not even there yet, you suppose the dry climate doesn't really suit the river sprite, though she's bearing it with her usual positive attitude. You suppose now would be as good a time as any to question her on all her disappearances of late.

“Vaki?” you grunt, earning a chirpy 'hmm?' from behind you.

“You've been leaving the camp a lot lately, any reason for it?”

“Vaki has been very busy, Vaki wants to spend more time with Ur, but busy busy,” the fey explains, making it a little troubling to walk as she wraps her slim arms around your waist.

“Busy doing what?” you ask, more than used to the long process of asking the fey a simple question by now.

“Vaki doesn't want to say, surprise for Ur,” the fey grins, peering up at you from your side, dark eyes twinkling.

You are John James Green, mutant vagrant.

You feel your teeth rattle their way down your throat. Canine, molar, molar, incisor.

The tarmac burns against your palms, the rough, semi-scaled skin throbbing painfully. Goblin-laughter ebbs and swells in your ears, fading this way and that, seeming to bounce back and forth along the base of your skull.

YouтАЩre in the middle of the Scar, on an open road (or the remains of one, anyway), fighting half the Sinister Six. And one of their groupies, apparently.

You pull yourself up without thinking. Your danger sense is a constant, sharp whine in the back of your mind. Nothing is safe. No moment is spare. You look over your shoulder, wiping the blood from your eyes with one hand, and see the big guy тАУ the groupie тАУ charging at you, eyes full of fire and gnarled, tumorous masses flowing across his arms, like armour. You feel like if you move an inch, you might split open and shatter across the tarmac.

One of the OctopusтАЩ metal limbs snakes its way through the air behind him.

You donтАЩt see your chance so much as feel it.

Delving into your jacket pocket, you retrieve a nice, heavy ball-bearing, pinching it between forefinger and thumb. Your arm a blur, even to you, you send it shrieking through the air, passing over the groupieтАЩs shoulder and bouncing off Doc OckтАЩs tentacle with a heavy, resonant thunk. It rebounds straight toward the electrical monster-man whose touch seared a long, black ruin across your chest (a ruin that youтАЩve mostly healed), who dissipates into a cloud of darting electrical radiance. You were counting on that.

As the groupie closes in, you push your strength into your legs, hurling yourself aside тАУ into the path of your own projectile. You feel its arc parting the air before it, and you twist about to punt it off-course, sending it crashing into the side of groupieтАЩs skull. It hits home with a wet, satisfying crunch, the impact nearly lifting him off his feet and sending a spray of unnaturally thick blood flying across the side of the road.

He sways, gritting his teeth, and the caved-in side of his head begins to fill itself back out, hard, scaly tissue rising through the cracks in his skull like foam.

And still, the Goblin laughs.

A half-hour after trapping the Corgis in the USN Tortuga's well deck, you and your merry party are crammed into a pair of adjoining booths in Coco Ichibanya, demolished plates of curry before you. Hamp is cradling Ise in one arm, feeding her a steady trickle of Starbucks as the tears stream down her face - she borrowed Hate's punch-card to order something extra-spicy and doggedly finished the whole thing when Hyuuga recited a haiku about butterflies being patient in their cocoons or something. Kitakami is idly playing a game on her Vita. Arizona's sitting quietly with a styrofoam cup of green tea held in both hands before her, staring into its depths like she's meditating. Hate is tilting yet another plate of curry upwards as he just shovels it into his maw, water still dripping from his sodden uniform.

тАЬHate?тАЭ

тАЬMhurhrfm,тАЭ he says, a single tear of joy trickling down his mug as he inhales the curry.

тАЬThe fuck are you doing in ACUs?тАЭ

The curry makes a visible bulge in his throat as he bolts it down, reminding you of a well-fed snake for a moment. тАЬThey were throwing out a whole shitload of 'em so I took them for shop rags, and stuff.тАЭ

тАЬTook them, eh?тАЭ

He shrugs. тАЬI would've charged them for the service but the Army guys I got'em from were mechanics for Miserable Giggle Shits, so I took pity.тАЭ

тАЬAnd that one wasn't cut up because...тАЭ

тАЬRight, so, you know how they blend in with couches-тАЭ

тАЬEveryone on earth has seen that .jpg, yes-тАЭ

тАЬOkay-тАЭ he holds up his hands to frame the issue. тАЬOkay. *Indoor ghillie suit.*тАЭ

You just kind of suck in your lips and lean back as you stare at him.

тАЬC'mon, it's brilliant.тАЭ

тАЬWouldn't holding a mop work better?тАЭ

Hate snorts. тАЬPasse. Push the limits. Evolve or die.тАЭ

тАЬWho dares, wins?тАЭ

тАЬExactly.тАЭ

тАЬRealizing your full potential?тАЭ

тАЬDamn straight.тАЭ

тАЬBeing all you can be?тАЭ

тАЬWow, fuck you.тАЭ

You tilt your head slightly in acknowledgment.

тАЬAre you sure the MP's can handle those mutts?тАЭ Hamp inquires, helping Ise up and handing her his coffee to continue suckling on.

тАЬThey're trapped in the well deck,тАЭ Hate replies, тАЬso they can take all day to pussyfoot around and wrangle them with those snare-poles animal control uses.тАЭ

Hamp leans back and raises a dubious brow. тАЬAnd those work?тАЭ

тАЬYeah,тАЭ Hate says, basking in the spicy afterglow of lunch. тАЬLittle dumbshits will just zoom in circles till they get tuckered out; even with their outfits on they're not much good once they splash.тАЭ

тАЬHow long will that take?тАЭ

Hate shrugs and glances at his watch. тАЬGoing on forty-five minutes of zooming around to dodge the poles? Not much longer. They eat fuel fast.тАЭ

You nod. тАЬThey've got really short legs.тАЭ

Hate pans his cold, desolate gaze towards you like a CIWS turret tracking a crossing target. You give him a little smirk that says yes, I was saving that, you're welcome.

тАЬWe didn't leave them hanging, did we? The crew?тАЭ

You shrug. тАЬI've got enough on my plate without an LSD Captain skinning me alive for-тАЭ you tick off on your fingers - тАЬboarding his ship without permission, possibly inciting a riot in his mess and shutting down his well deck with five fugitive boatdogs. Star be damned, he has me dead to rights on all that.тАЭ

Hamp looks thoughtful, then shrugnods in agreement as he sips his Starbucks. тАЬPoint taken.тАЭ

Hate nudges you, then jerks his head towards the corner of the little curry joint. Packed into a booth are four classic delinquent types, all questionably-cut leather jackets and unconventional hairstyles - one of them has an actual, honest-to-god pompadour to put his eighties ancestors to shame. You're still staring at his hair as the quartet uncork from their booth and saunter on over, four pairs of trendy sunglasses sweeping your little entourage appraisingly.

Hate sliiiiiiides his gaze sideways towards you, clearly asking for permission.

As yet more creatures woven from the black fabric of the void spill from the tear in reality you notice something odd. The area around the portal seems to shimmer strangely, smaller holes flickering into existence only to vanish a moment later. The way the portal twist and contorts itself almost makes you think it might be alive, but a quick glance at the portal through the lens of Nature magic puts your concerns to rest. It is a black gash in a field otherwise painted in shades of green.

Something else catches your eye instead. Your magically enhanced senses reveal that small, but very bright, points of light drift lazily through the air all around the portal. They almost remind you of torch flame seen from a distant, reduced to little more than a speck of illumination. It's worrying to note that these points of light seem to foreshadow the appearance of one of those smaller holes in reality.

Cutting the flow of vys, your vision snaps back into sharp focus. Your brother's soldiers seem to be struggling to hold back the never-ending flow of monstrosities pouring out of the tear. They have the portal encircled, but you're not sure how long that's going to last. The first bull-headed giant you saw emerge has already created a swathe of death and destruction through one formation of spearmen, and though the men fight bravely their blows seem to do little in the way of actual harm to beast.

You spot your brother standing just outside his tent, mouth hanging slightly agape and a horror writ large in his expression. You spot a handful of messengers sprinting from the front lines towards your brother's command tent, likely bearing messages from your brother's captains.

Your own men are beginning to cross the dry riverbed to join you gawping at the portal. Some of them are wearing armor looted from the corpses of the enemies you've just killed, while others carry spears in hand. You should probably help, somehow, but what are you supposed to do in this situation? The Varistha managed to close a portal to the void but he was probably the most powerful single man alive.

You hear Zahak's voice reverberate through your skull, his thoughts tinged prominently with concern and confusion but otherwise surprisingly calm. You suppose he doesn't quite understand the magnitude of this situation. {Papa, what's happening? That doesn't look normal.}

The voice of your adoptive son manages to rouse you from your stupor. {It's not normal, Zahak. Whatever that flash was, it opened a portal to the void, a vast space outside of our reality populated by spirits-} Your trail of thought is interrupted by a quiet screech. Ricky seems to take issue with being called a spirit. {-or rather, the ancestors of what we call spirits. We need to find a way to close the portal, otherwise we risk the death of thousands.}

Zahak bobs his head, glaring briefly at the portal as though a mean look might scare it off. {If I breathe fire at it will it close?}

>Probably not, but it's worth a shot! Mount Zahak and ride into battle. At the very least you might hold them off.
>No, void creatures are notoriously resistant to magic. You should gather as many Vatis as you can and focus on supporting your brother's troops.

Drifting high above the column of marching soldiers you're afforded an unrivaled view of the desert. Darzi and her contingent of camel riders split off of the main body of the army hours ago. Occasionally you'll catch a glimpse of her forces to the northeast, far ahead of the main column, but for the most part she and her men remain well hidden. Your own forces ride or sail near the front of the column, behind your brother's personal bodyguard composed of your family's elite retainers.

The enemy's own column of soldiers creeps towards you with aching slowness. The camp spotted you a few minutes ago, you're not sure exactly when. Its location was well chosen. Your only real avenue of approach was through the dried up riverbed, giving your the bandit army plenty of time to muster its forces in preparation. You must say, there's more of them than you were expecting. Shouldn't they be too busy shitting themselves to mount any sort of major resistance?

Your brother barks out an order and it's soon being repeated up and down the column. You can't make out exactly what he said, but the column stops and soldiers begin busting out skins of water. Seems your brother has decided here is as good a place to stop as any, and is giving the soldiers some time to rest before the battle begins.

If you had to guess, most of the fighting will take place along the broad, flat expanse of sand on the southern side of the riverbed. The ground there is dotted with stone, leading you to believe that the sand layer is thinner there than eslewhere. You're sure that both sides will want a field of battle where their forces will be confident in their footing. Indeed some of your brother's troops are already occupying the flatlands, setting up tents and establishing ramshackle fortifications.

Zahak dips one of his wings and begins slowly circling the army, just as Mortia's voice drifts through your thoughts. {Your brother has decided to wait here until such a time as the enemy army is close enough to engage. He ask that you join him in his command tent when you are available.}

>Fly ahead to scout out the bandit army and their camp, try to figure out why so many of them are well enough to face you.
>Ignore your brother's orders in favor of joining your Vatis to harry the advancing enemy army. Create pit traps, pick off targets of opportunity, and maybe have Zahak scorch a few of them.
>Best to hurry up and join your brother, he probably wants to discuss battle strategy, or maybe he wants you to be present when he meets the enemy commander for negotiations. Have Zahak land so you can dismount.

You can't help but feel relieved after your first interview with Darth Carn. While a little rough around the edges he seemed much more amiable then you expected for a D. Your mind strays for a moment at the fates of those who must have enraged him in the past however, and the many possible atrocities performed by his massive weapon of an arm cross your mind. You quickly decide that if you do decide to serve under him you will try not to relax too much just to be on the safe side.

Master Jorrak smiles and nods as you exit before crossing over to you.

"See? Darth Carn's not so bad. No time to chat however, your next potential Master is already waiting. I'll admit, this one's a bit of an enigma even to me. His name is Darth Incarnus. I know very little about his work, but I hear he works in very sensitive matters and his position and operations are kept secretive for a reason. In some instances he apparently works with the Dark Council directly. He'll be a bit more... traditionally Sith-like in his ways then Darth Carn, so be careful in there."

He says as he directs you to the next door.

You step inside slowly and are greeted with a room much the same as the last. The Darth who sits waiting for you is a slender man with thick black well trimmed hair with the occasional shock of grey and a large nose that reminds you of a bird of prey. His fierce eyes seem the break you down to your most basic components and analyze them for weakness.

Con't.

"Nrrrr" I groan, feeling really cold and uncomfortable for some reason, did I leave the window open or something. I sit up, keeping my eyes closed so I don't get blinded by the morning sun. I hear my back crack and I slump forward, not hitting my desk.

I slowly open my eyes, wincing in anticipation and fear of the great ball of fire in the sky...but it doesn't come. All I see is a bunch of dirt and leaf covered cobblestones, no blanket, chain, desk or computer. I tilt my head, still half asleep as I try to blink only managing to make my right eye do it. How strange. I move my arms to rub my eyes and groan as an annoying soreness crackles it's way through my arms, damn I must've fallen asleep in my chair again and...wait. I look at my hands and scream as I realize I'm not in my room anymore. My palms and fingers are wrapped tightly in blood stained bandages, and strands of blondish red hair fall over my eyes as I stumble back, slamming into a stone wall with a loud thud. And...and I can't see out of my left eye. I start to breath, heavier and faster as I slowly put my hand to my eye, and gently poke it, my fingers pushing the bandages ever so slightly into the socket. I can feel my self shake as I start to feel really, really sick.

Okay this isn't my room that's for sure, and this isn't my body, this is my character's body, Krovachi and...and I'm still in the game then. I whimper as I hear footsteps and people talking and murmuring as the cold morning air licks my face like a worried dog. I try to take nice and deep breaths to calm down just enough to figure out what the hell is going on here!

Hello /tg/, and welcome to a new Evolution Quest game!

How to play:
• Open an image of a species in MS Paint, or your editor of choice
• Make one evolutionary change to that species
• Save as .PNG!
• Post your new species in the thread with a description of what evolution you've added and why.

Notes:
• Unless stated explicitly, no species ever goes extinct. Old species can still evolve, even if they're not on the latest "chain"
• Try to make your evolutions gradual and realistic. Have fun, make it weird, but keep it realistic.
• Every now and then, I'll make a post detailing some major event in the climate of the planet.
• Have fun

Our setting is an unnamed planet, primarily covered by water. The only surface of the planet are the arctic deserts in the poles, and a single large rocky outcrop in the center, formed by minor volcanic activity.

The Flek is a species of cephalopod, moving around with two strong tentacles, mainly used for locomotion. They have a filtration system on the front of their bodies, which they use to suck up organic material and water. They digest the organic material, and expel the water, along with any waste products, out of their backside between their tentacles, which provides a secondary source of locomotion. They are omnivorous, who seek out their prey. They navigate by sensing electrical currents in the water, but lack other sensory organs. They reproduce in egg clutches via external fertilization

The Krass is a species of small annelid, moving around via paristalsis, as well as wiggling through the water. They have one large mouth at their very front, which they use to latch onto their prey. They then proceed to spit digestive acids onto their prey, predigesting it before sucking the slurry up. They are carnivorous, who seek out their prey, but their larval state is herbivorous. They navigate via a strong sense of smell, but lack other sensory organs. They reproduce via external reproduction, which offspring then live as tiny plankton-like organisms, latching onto vegetation, before metamorphasizing into their adult forms.

Our last fauna is the Nobb. The Nobb is a species of large gastropod, crawling slowly along the ocean floor. They have several small mouths along the bottom of their body, which have radula to scoop organic material from the ocean's floor into their mouths. They have a foot at their rear, to push sediment away from them, propelling them slowly but steadily forwards. They navigate via a sense of vibration, but lack other sensory organs. They are omnivorous, who scavenge the ocean's floor for food. They reproduce via sexual reproduction, where the male mounts the female to inseminate her. The female then mounts the male to lay their eggs atop him, which become stuck to his back due to the female's very sticky birthing fluids.

Anyone have experiences in creating alien species for a new settings and sexual dimorphism? I can't figure out a way to distinguish the males vs the females in my new setting without slapping on a pair of tits to the chest. Examples are much appreciated.

Eilistraee.jpg

In my research about what 5e did to the drow gods in the Realms, I found this (apparently from EG himself).

''Hi again, all. Irennan, heeeere's Ed:

Communications being what they are in the Realms, with caravans bringing news and gossip and inevitable distortions as things get told and retold, most mortals can't be certain of much; they always have to trust (or not trust) retellings from afar.
However, the word spreading about the return of Eilistraee and Vhaeraun comes from excited reports of mortal worshippers personally meeting MANIFESTATIONS and AVATARS of the deities; i.e. yes, Vhaeraun and Eilistraee are both "back."
Now, as to whether they'll appear face to face with a given mortal in a given location in the Realms, that's a far different matter. The gods in general seem more "distant" post-Sundering, more "heard from" than "personally seen."

And there you have it.
The Word of Ed, so to speak.
love,
THO''

I think that this is cool, at this point it looks like almost all the gods have been restored.

>Vhaeraun and Eilistraee are both "back."

Fuck that. They sold me on their deaths in the war of the spider queen series. Eilistraee got a good death and her plan b did go off. Is it so bad that I want closure on a fantasy character?

I think it makes sense that gods have difficulties staying dead, and drows were funnier when they had multiple gods.
Also her death was silly and far fetched.

But Vhaeraun's death and their union into one deity was nice and should not be altered.
