40k army idea
So, CSM based army.
Band of holy knights getting their powers from somewhere. Basically all the normal Paladin and knights in shining armor sort of idea for them. Chaos Mutations are blessings from their god, refluffed as required.
Built using Bretonnians, with a lot of very traditional knighly designs and such.
Dunno what the actual list would be yet, but that's the basic idea as it starts.

They already have the House Devine, the original Chaos Knight house, were the pilots now are decadent and incestous offspring of corrupted knights and nobles.
A CSM version of that would be pretty awesome and fit quite well.

You can make an infinite number of free actions in a turn.
Is there a tabletop game similar to Dominions? I'm looking for a grognardy army-level strategy game of armies with spells or abilities that have really strange effects or complex interactions.
It is not at all what you are looking for but D&D 3.X is actually really similar to Dominions in the way the magic system works. Spells are similarly bullshit with enormous "fuck you" effects.
Unfortunately, no. All the good grog games are either historical or spehs-based. For fantasy, there's Sorcerer, but it's not exactly what you want. Interesting 'terrain' system, though.
I've got my first game in a long time coming up and I want to make a good impression. Getting images for handouts of NPCs is easy enough, but is there a place to find images of items or situations?
Specifically, I need a group of thugs, bandits, or enemy soldiers entering through a door, with their leader at the front. I also need a gargoyle in flight or on a ledge with their back to the edge, and a sinister looking device for drawing blood samples.

What's the biggest plot twist/bad news you gave your players/have received?
I'm running a Traveller game where the players escaped a planetary bombardment and clean up by making a misJump and for story reasons it deposits them a kiloparsec away in civilized space, but still a kiloparsec away; on top of that its not as simple as Jumping in a straight line, the safest route would be to follow established trade routes and that would take them 7 years.

Alrighty, im dming one of the most intresting charecters ive ever seen. He only cares about money... that is his only charecter trait. When combat starts, other PC litteraly have to bribe him to fight. He will literally do nothing unlss there is cash in it. Although his charecter has created some of the funneist moments ever, it kinda hard to get a quest going because he wont do anything unless there is massive profit, and even then he might go off and rob people and ignore the quest because the money is greater. How do i deal with this guy

I prefer the second one. Because you can always have some house rules or homebrew it up to fix some clunky rules. So, it shouldn't be a big deal if some rules are bad. But to take out the flavor of the setting? That's a lot harder to put back in.
I've been meaning to read a Scott McCloud book for decades.
Not sure if its common to ask for campaign advice but I really need some creative input. I have a simple problem in that I need some kind of enemy grunt that can be a threat to the world because they are seemingly infinite in numbers.
Now the setting is a mix of different things. If you have played dragon age origins you know about the deep roads which I thought was a cool concept. So I wanted to make my players be in some sort of nights watch organization from a song of ice and fire but placed underneath the earth fighting creatures from the "underdark" so...

I think something that takes the form of a shadow would be an awesome concept in an area like that. In a place of darkness, shadows can be infinite.

The party Thrikreen and Warforged don't sleep, so they stay up all night in their respective "half-sleep" states at a small table in the shop we owned, attempting to play some sort of card-game which neither of them remembered the rules to. There was something about these giant thugs just sort of spacing out and asking each other if they had any Jacks every couple hours.
There was one time a player jumped into a box without checking it and then asked what was in it. One of the other players suggested it was a box of dicks, so we went with that suggestion for a good 10 min before backtracking to before that point.

How about a setting generator? Most of them out there are shitty and sparse. Like what you'd see in those civ threads images, but even more decked out with stuff. It could help people come up with ideas for settings a little more easily than "how do i make X a setting' and shit.
