So far, your day has gone to form - woke up with a hysterical kid in your room, witnessed Hate In Arachnid Clad, gave Kongou romantic advice of incredibly dubious value, got your bell rung by an emotionally distraught shipgirl (again) and swore an oath you probably can't keep (again.) Compared to all that, the sight of Hornet's dusky cheeks glowing as she bends rebar with her bare fucking hands doesn't faze you one bit.
You scratch your jaw discreetly to cover the motion of checking the headset's controls with your fingertip. Then you lean in close to Hornet, who's wide, empty eyes are staring at her rusty iron rebar “dreamcatcher.” too distant to notice your approach.
“Someone's got a cruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuush,” you drawl quietly.
Hornet FLINGS her mangled metal at the ground as she snaps to attention so abruptly that her hairfeather keeps quivering a second after she's gone dead still.
“Who,” she says flatly to the water.
You let the shit-eating grin blossom on your face. “You.”
YOU USED THAT TITLE ALREADY

Notes:
Using names or trips in this quest is heavily discouraged. While it is impossible for me to prevent you from doing so, I ask that you not. I will also not count any votes made while using names or trips.
Something's niggling at you. The two slaves who were responsible for carrying out the plan are both captured, you have whatever device Malika gave the slave tucked safely away inside your cloak, you've made sure that the Demirs are being kept safely on the palace grounds, and you feel confident that once the slaves confess you'll have more than enough evidence to see Malika banished, if you so choose. So why do you feel like you're forgetting something?
You run your fingers through your hair contemplatively as your attention flicks from your nerve-addled brother to the collapsed palace gates. It's right there, you can feel it stewing at the periphery of your consciousness. It was something that ghastly messenger from Surya had told you. Something about a punishment, or was it a payment? Gods above, this is going to bother you for the rest of the night.
Well, whatever it was it couldn't have been that important. Otherwise you would remember it, right? Rather than concern yourself with some minor, forgotten detail you turn your attention to your immediate circumstances. Plucking up the shortsword the slave had used in his attempt to kill your brother you tuck the strange blade swiftly into your cloak, before anyone else has the opportunity to claim it.
(1/2)
That done you turn to your brother and rest a comforting hand on his shoulder. Unfortunately he seems a little too shaken to really pay you any mind, his responses mumbled and absentminded. You wonder, was this his first real brush with death? For you escaping an early grave by mere inches has become routine, but you suppose that's not the case for most people. Regardless, you motion to a few of the palace guards keeping the nobles corralled and see to it that your brother and his wife are escorted safely to their rooms.
>You should check on Vicitra, the boy you resurrected, just to be safe.
>Find out which room Malika is being kept in, have a little chat with her one on one.
>Those slaves aren't going to interrogate themselves. See to it they talk.
>Your brother has interrogators for a reason. You should get some sleep, it's been a long day.
>Sleep is for wimps. Why rest when you could be advancing your magical talents?

Your time at the Academy has proven to be quite an adventure so far, even if all of the adventuring has been this mysterious thing known as LEARNING, with a bit of fighting thrown in along the way to help with that process. During the time you spent with Renari in the library, you learned quite a bit about the man known as Revan, the woman Meetra Surik, and even a bit about the known history of the Sith... the religion, not so much the red people. Turns out they're kinda secretive and don't enjoy talking with Jedi too much, who woulda guessed.
Still, the information you read about regarding the more inner workings of the empire is quite interesting. The names are different, but it seems as though the Jedi and Sith have a very similar heirarchy when it comes to their members, Padawan to Apprentice, Knight to Lord, Master to Darth, and Council to Council. You haven't exactly been able to find any information on an equivalent to Grand Master Shan, but it does sort of stand to reason that the Emperor himself could fill such a role.
Turns out learning can actually be pretty fun, not that you would have ever gotten the chance to know as much while you were on Nar Shadda of course, though both Renari and Master Tikran have been rather insistent on you shoring up your admittedly rather faulty, and mostly self taught, education. Advanced mathematics is still a slight... issue, but you've taken to reading and most other things like a fish to water!

What would you hypothetically like to see reprinted in modern?
Also is this card a "meme" card or will it see play
Hey I think abzan is still the most value deck in the format.
And I would love to see reprints of the expensive cards.
Also, this is what I'm playing.

Maybe, but I'm still biased to jund.
What expensive cards? I personally want to see a blood moon reprint as much as I hate the card.

I like it. I've always been a jeskai boy. I honestly think that it's only a little bit weaker than UR Twin and it's actually has better match up against other decks than Grixis Twin. But at the same time it has a bad match up against Grixis Twin, so people think it's bad.

Why are warrior women so popular in board games and fantasy in general, when the entire concept is just laughably unrealistic? Other than the most dire of situations where every peasant who can hold a pointy stick is deployed, women are simply a waste of space and resources.

Would it break anything to make all wondrous items and rings that can be used to cause a negative effect on someone if they fail a saving throw have their saving throw DC scale instead of using minimum DC? Based off the user's CHA mod maybe, or perhaps just determined by level?
Automatic bonus progression only removes the big 6.

Sleeping Dogs.
Halo, I think.
Some jump gives you bullet time so long as you stand still and do nothing, can't remember. Seems like it's based off a roguelike, might be Generic Roguelike or something.
>>43939354
SAO has a perk for enhanced reflexes. It's technically not time stop so I'll say Code Geass has a geass that accelerates your perception to where it seems to be that point. No More Heroes has one that also slows things down as a special buff after certain kills. InFamous has one that slows things down to 10% of your normal speed. I think PMD also had a perk regarding reaction time.

>One of our many goals since the game began was making the game feel more inclusive for women. Game playing has historically been more thought of as a male activity and when the game started we wanted to strongly express that Magic was not just a game for men which is why we used “he or she” rather than “he”. Another ramification on changing “he or she” to “they” is losing “she” in text on cards. While we have come a long way (our last big deep dive showed female players up to 38%), we still have more work to do and losing “she” would be us taking away one of our strongest indicators in text on the cards themselves that we want women to feel welcome playing Magic.
Okay, let's cut the crap. We all know that most /tg/ hobbies are, IN GENERAL, unfriendly towards women.
>but my playgroup
>women don't deserve to play because
>muh 38%
Let's avoid anecdotal evidence and complaints about "totally fake" statistics. The fact is that, while you and your group may be perfectly civil towards women, the hobbies as a whole are not. And, no, women aren't just looking to control/dominate/be fawned over by gamers, they're actually interested in playing the damn games. So one woman wasn't? I can point to lots of men who aren't, either.
So, the question is...why? Game companies are going out of their way to make women feel welcome, game stores don't have "No girls allowed" signs, and I can't think of any reason that the subject matter would innately lead to misogyny. Why, then, is it considered somewhat groundbreaking--to the extent that people have called the numbers fake--that a little over a third of a game's playerbase belongs to the gender that makes up a full half of the species?
Is it really just that we're all actually that autistic?
>>43933136
>Is it really just that we're all actually that autistic?
Yes.
>>43931463
...huh.
I finally figured out why it bugs me when nonbinary people campaign to make everything use "they" as a singular pronoun, in place of the "he or she" construction that is in common use. Using "they" erases gender entirely, which is what the nonbinary people want...but doing so is just as short-sighted as asking "Well, why can't these people just file themselves under the 'or' in 'he or she'?" There are people for whom their gender is very important--transmen and transwomen come to mind.
Why is the nonbinary person's right to not have the words "he" and "she" in print more important than these people's right to identify with their chosen gender and receive affirmation through the use of the appropriate gendered pronouns?
>>43933136
>Why, then, is it considered somewhat groundbreaking--to the extent that people have called the numbers fake--that a little over a third of a game's playerbase belongs to the gender that makes up a full half of the species?

The Fixer
A strange temporal construct that seemingly targets those mages and scientists who delve too deeply into the fundamentals of time and reality.
Appearing seemingly out of thin air, usually accompanied by swarms of blue butterflies, the creature destroys any research notes or documents the target has gathered and often the target themselves. The latter is the the fewer of the incidents, and appears to be tied to how closely the targets are to breakthroughs. After finishing it's current task the creature promptly disappears after breaking line of sight with all witnesses.
Scholars have often debated the exact nature of the creature, but most usually believe it targets those deemed to be too close to achieving some great revelation or invention, usually time travel of some kind. While completely mute, the creature is often expressive enough to communicate the reason for it's seemingly random attacks to those it leaves alive.
Most interestingly, or disturbingly, is that if one carefully examines the chronology of incidents it becomes clear that the creature is moving DIRECTLY from one target to another, seemingly instantaneously. As the chronology moves backward, the creature increasingly has evidence of it's next appearances on it's body. One occurrence it will bare a dried blood spatter, the next occurrence it will appear with a dripping fresh blood spatter, and the occurrence after that it will kill a target. This seems to indicate that it is moving backward through time from a specific point in the future, evidently "cleaning up" all the events in history where the temporal flow might be disturbed.
Connections have of course been made to the four dimensional god Taj Yr Akna, but no link has ever been verified.
>Changed the art
Reposting from last thread because it was close to the bottom
I have been thinking about the nature of TTJ, and I have some new details.
First, it is, as previously noted, it is the source of emotions in the vain of guilt, like regret, embarrassment and shame, but that those are necessary for emotions like pride and love to exist. Without TTJ, everyone would be psychopaths, and in fact, psychopaths are individuals who are at least partially immune from the influence of TTJ, due to their lack of empathy.
Second, the nature of TTJ. The True Judge has no gender, although I think it has more masculine attributes than feminine ones, and most of the scions that take on the form of a gender (they too lack a true gender) tend to gravitate towards the male side of the spectrum. TTJ does have a full form, but this form does not exist in the mortal world or even the divine world, and can only exist in the strange space outside of the realm of all but the most ancient of primordials (and TLG because of course he can). The True Judge does manifest itself in the forms of scions, for various reasons. People who play MTG, think of he Eldrazi. The scions function similarly, which is part of the reason I picked that name.
Now, TTJ does care about justice, but remember, the punishment is guilt, not an outright action. Some of the scions break this mold, but even then they do nothing other than mental manipulations unless we are dealing with "Destroying the fabric of space and time" levels of fuckery. Even then, it does not manifest itself completely, rather there is a special scion for this, which I will talk about later.
How does Ong interact with the other gods?
I'm assuming at least some of them dream, so they at least know about The Thought and possibly Flotsam.
