I want to make a monster for an upcoming game based on this quote.
Idea 1: A flesh monster with regeneration and absorption that slowly flesh-fuses with an opponent every round that they both damage eachother. If the monster completely fuses with the opponent before it is killed it, adds HD and flailing bladed arms to its roiling fleshy body.
Idea 2: A monster that fights like a generic demon but possesses any opponent that kills it, similar to that guy from WH40K.
Idea 3: An amorphous void-monster which attacks foes willpower. Those who succumb are fixated on the void and drawn into it. They emerge as negative energy shades. As a secondary attack, the creature can burn an opponent's psyche from the inside out, leaving a brainless husk.
I could also just combine all three.I don't want to inflame edition wars by saying the system, but if anyone cares its a level 7 DND 3.5 one shot with players who are skilled at min-maxing and character building.
What do you guys think of those? Also if anybody else wants to share concept ideas for new monsters that would be cool.

I have one problem with all of these monsters: they only become interesting once they've killed a PC. Your obstacles shouldn't only be interesting post-PC-Death. That's a fundamental flaw.

As always, first to 3-5 votes is chosen (With some discussion of course, so no shitposting anon gets to spam his way to playing whatever he wants) We'll stick to 2 actions per turn, and rolling d100s will decide efficiency of actions. Other rules will be explained as time goes on, actions will be chosen from a clear majority vote/decision. We don't have to play from the sheet, but it makes things easier for me. You could also suggest your own ideas for races/starting locations.

Despite the drastic change in leadership their life has remained mostly unchanged if a little busier than before. The Osjiic and Dagger were being slightly more resistant to your charms, the metal spikes weighing heavy in their bodies with their loss still fresh.

why doesn't the imperial guard use light tanks?
with light tanks the IG would be able to respond to enemy flanking maneuvers much faster, and while light tanks aren't as tough as normal tanks, they should be able to hold the line until the Leman Russ gets there
light tanks would probably be really useful against factions like the Dark Eldar, who rely on speed and maneuverability

You take in a long breath, hold it, and exhale before carefully folding the maimed arms of the corpse and then picking it up.
There’s still plenty blood within the small body, best not to let it go to waste.
Your dagger plunges through the chest, easily slicing skin, crunching through bone, until it reaches its target. You leave it there to tap the well of power, and rise to your feet, holding your final weapon.
The dark and silent abyss behind you beckons through its sheer existence, yet you turn not to it, but to the obscured volume of space where Ali once stood.
It would be easy enough to leave her there, but as you laid dying on the ground, you derived the only possible explanation for how Ali was able to skillfully manipulate all those she needed to. However, there remains two questions that you can’t solve just yet, and your curiosity beckons.

Your plan to separate out the last two girls with the Burning Heart curse involved dressing up your brother as an exact duplicate of yourself. He would distract Hiroko while you cured Yui. Simple, right? With her problem solved, naturally you assumed Hiroko would be the easy part of all this. Now, you're not so sure.
The two Hirokos, identical in appearance and even clothing (the dress must be made of water as well), stare at you with devious, joyful grins. They spare a quick glance for Yuuki, himself a doppleganger for you, and they lick their lips in anticipation.

Outnumbered for sure, but do you want to risk potentially splitting her further? You're not sure you could deal with four, or eight Hirokos.
"Ready~?" The two ask, lustful sentiment rich on their lips. A part of you wants to scream out 'yes' - after all, it's a threesome between two people, surely she'd approve? Well, foursome if Yuuki joined in, technically - but still only two people!

Welcome to The Lost Island Quest. Last thread our hero, Alan Rodain, defended the settlement of Seaside from giant, fire-breathing beetles. After some tension over monetary payment in his group, Alan met a kindly priest by the name of Father Calloway who rekindled his faith after giving him the power to heal the wounded. Doubt in his new found path began to set in as Alan met with Gilda, the head researcher in Seaside. After conversing with Dolah, his self-appointed guide, and Blackburn about the conflict between his duty as a soldier and his religious concerns, he still holds concerns that he'll fail to live up to the standards of The Great Will. Now, he heads to his hostel to sleep in preparation for the next day's excursion.

Eve and Quissonce are playing cards and Rowe has already gone to sleep. You don't know where Kyra is. Most of the other people are slowly backing away from the two large women arguing, even the guy who is the subject of their argument. You feel bad for him.

“You can switch beds with me if it is that important to you.”
“Your bed isn't as nice as his bed. I want his bed.”

I can't be the only one who would watch a wizard version of Law & Order: SVU.
In the setting I just created, magic is basically a single trick that can be applied to any skill, and the magnitude of it is based on your proficiency in that skill.
When reality in one area becomes too distorted from magic use, it "snaps back" and fucks up the source that caused the most distortion.
This means that raw numbers are more important than anything when dealing with magic users. If the evil wizard causes 2% distortion, you just need 98 people causing 1% distortion apiece to make reality slap him. It might not even need to be people. You could have items that channel magic for this very purpose.

The problem with playing a tank team is that it's difficult to make sure everyone has a reasonably enjoyable job to do. I pity whoever gets forced to play the loader, and while some of the other jobs are more involved, you still have the problem whereby they technically can only do what the commander tells them to do. A tank SQUAD, on the other hand...

Hey /tg/ any of you guys playing Force of Will? The game has been growing in popularity recently and a new set and trial decks are releasing next month. What are your thoughts on the game? What deck are you running? What are you looking forward to?
Been playing for two weeks, I enjoy it a lot. It's been growing steadily since our lgs started carrying it so I'm optimistic for its future. Currently running Vlad control, and I'm really looking forward to the new Valentina. Wanna try a super friends type deck with her.
