Quick Summary on the Chapter:

Raven Guard Successors that were founded from the Raptors Chapter in the M34.

Figure of Legends and first Chapter Master was the Charismatic Chaplain named Kane.

Just like many Raven Guard successors they specialize in stealth, guerilla warfare and are pragmatic. From their Raptors parent Chapter, they have the same marksmanship capabilities.

However, they have some unique tech and have also cyborgs among them. They additionally specialize in inciting planetary wide uprisings on Imperial Worlds conquered/annexed by the enemies of the Emperor.

Essentially a space marine chapter that is essentially a more heroic take on The Brotherhood of Nod.

So Nod...

They have cyborgs of their own?

Wouldn't they have some form of relationship with the Iron Hands then if they are this into cybernetics?

I have read here many times that BA were seriously nerfed with the new codex. Can someone help a new player understand what they have lost?

The red-eyed, silver-haired woman takes you aside. A wry smile dances on her lips, but you can't shake the feeling of being a little mouse being played with by a very large cat.

After putting some distance between yourself and the others, you glance back at them and you notice that she doesn't seem to have moved at all: she's still there, standing next to Sol, chatting amicably with Tia (who seems to know her) and Amata (who seems even more stressed out now).

You look back at her. There's two? Actually, they look quite a bit different, but you still FEEL like they're the same person. Goddess. Whatever.

"You're Luna." You dare a guess.

"That was easy." She grins.

Every time you look aside, even just for a split-second, and then back at her, she looks a bit different, though she's still perfectly recognizable. It's very disconcerting. You can't help but keep looking back at the other... the other her, who is now playfully ruffling Tia's hair. You can hear them talking, but it's not clear what they're saying.

"Your" Luna snaps her fingers to call you to attention, and you tear yourself off from the distraction.

"Y-yes?"

"I know you're not my responsibility." She starts, shooting off a glance back at the rest of the group herself. "But since Sol decided to crown you, there's some things you should probably know. About Lunars."

>About Lunars in general, or you mean about Tia?
>What should I know?
>Why me? I mean, you said it yourself, I'm not a Lunar. I can barely understand what they're thinking sometimes.

Bullets are as fast as spells and both need line of sight.

Hello /TG/ I'm creating a world, and I have a question. Is rewriting the orcish culture to be a warrior society based on the Asian culture a bad thing? Now, before you make your judgement call, I'd like to give you a small bit of back ground to help you make an informed retort so I might better improve them.

They were mongol like tribes, but much like rome, a leader soon came to unite these tribes under a banner against humans, the only other known species of sentient humanoids on the land mass. This ruler, currently nameless, decided that the orcs were still to disorganized and took on a caste system based on family lineage among the orcs. Now, a few hundred years later, selective breading in the upper families has created larger, stronger orcs to fight in their militia, opposed to their weaker ancestors and lower families of farmers and workers opposed to soldiers. You can tell most higher ranking families by their skin colors, while most orcs are white, pink or red, higher families tend towards grey and black pigmentation because of their selective breeding.

The army structure is based on groupings of six to ten soldiers, trained as individual units meant for larger group tactics. These tactics assume that each group of six to ten works coherently with other groups on the battlefield, with up to twelve other groups assisting in a single maneuver.

The orcs melee weapons are based on two groups of weapons, a straight bladed katana like weapon, only used in self defense, as a last resort, or in dueling. And axes mounted on the moderate to long wooden and sometimes metal reinforced shafts for fighting and military use. Much like the pole axe. However, they use a single style of ranged weapon. A crossbow like weapon with pulleys in the front instead of arms that draws the string down the body, that relies of spring steel levers on the bottom to drive it forward and propel the bolt as the string is loosed.

To be fair, I had it thought out, and based the culture on Asia and the formation of their society on the Roman empire, and the selective breeding aspect based on Persia.

And if so, just read their latest supplement. It includes a bunch of theories, most of them quite unique and different compared to the old, "They're the Fire Hawks!! No, they're Emperor Daemons!!" Both of which are also included with equal weight to the other four.
>>
>>43962272

They used to be Fire Hawks, but I'm not so sure now. They could still be the Fire Hawks due to the Inquisition's evidence of their time travel residue, but all we know right now is they are even more ghost-like than before.

That is what I meant, too many DC comics at 6am.

I really hope that they don't end up as just being some edgy ultrasmurfs in the long run.

Remember when 40k was good? Remember when you had a game actually designed to accommodate super-heavies? Remember when a single stray rocket could hit an Imperator Class Titan in the reactor and cause it to explode? Remember when Eldar had transports with infinite carrying capacity? Remember the ridiculous pink Slaanesh crab-titans?

Specialist Games remembers. Talk about Epic. And Warmaster if you want to.

That's what's weird about superheavies in 40k. They blew the scale up so that one titan is the equivalent of a very large army... yet made the rules absurdly simple, so that it's basically just a monstrous creature with a bunch of weapons and 10,000 wounds- no lucky hits taking out the legs, no disabling weapons or shield generators, no nothin'.

Your character is separated from his party due to being sent on his own personal quest of enlightenment. His quest pertained to simply walking around in solitude to calm your thoughts, heal your spirit, and to find inner peace as well as understanding. You have been ordered not to speak for the duration for the quest, only speaking when you feel it's right, and when you feel you have achieved what you were instructed to do.

Your first words must be a lament, of not only before but what you have experienced. Your quest it feels like, and your mouth is unbound. It is time to speak. What does he/she say for their soliloquy?

Wouldn't be hard to add, just wondering if it's been done before to remember.

I like the idea that a dwarves house commissioned a few, and so in dwarven style they're angular and have massive metal beards.

I've always sexually identified as an attack helicopter, but my DM says that flying is OP.

I swear, these threads are moving faster and getting less accomplished.

But for anyone who's just joining us, most of the resources from the starting post are out of date or broken, so we should work together and make a new batch of resources. If you've got a house rule (1e, 2e, or even oWoD) feel free to share it. What do you do in your games to make things run smoother? Does anyone want to stat up some NPCs? Maybe some monsters? Do you have any homebrews to share? If anyone has advice on making a Chummer style sheet generator, that'd be super helpful.

Here's the images I use to start threads http://imgur.com/a/oerTd

Image highly related if Malcharion wasn't a dreadnought, kinda hard to walk up to the watch fortress looking like that. Or is it?

Assuming a untainted NL could get to a watch master to present his case could he have a chance?

>nightlord
>loves human kind

Even terran night lords were given the job of sowing terror and destruction. They're not loving. Then their recruitment came from primarily murderers and rapists.

Like, black shields are already inherently a bit special snowflake, but it would have to be an actually well thought out story.

Malcharion was super excited to be able to murder a blood angle champion twice. Mostly because it would make the blood angles feel bad. He wasn't a nice guy, he just wasn't a daemon prince.
>>
>>43960533

But they are loving, at least compared to most Imperial Marines. Most SM are unfeeling lunatics who give zero fucks about the people they defend, NL care. They might care because they want to know how to kill you in the most terrifying way but they still do care.

They hate xenos, they hate psykers, they hate traitors. They have uncorruptable geneseed.

They are perfect Black Shields besides the whole 10,000 years out of date thing.
>>
>>43960936
You're gonna have to forgive me if I have a hard time believing that superhumans who literally would skin people alive just for the hell of it and wear their bones as armor while mindfucking entire societies to the point of mass hysteria "loving."

Look, I love Night Lords, but don't even try to paint them as "loving." Only Curze could even SLIGHTLY be given that trait, and the buck stops there.

What would a humanoid unicorn PC race be like?

Unicorns have come in many variants throughout mythology, from the traditional European unicorn, to the East Asian qilin/kirin, to the Arabic al-mi'raj, to the Chilotan camahueto.

Surely their horns would be a focus for great magical power, particularly restorative magic. Would there be a black market for their horns? Would one of them rather die than live without a horn?

>>43959999

Unshorn fetlocks

Beards for male and females. Possibly make them an all-male race.
>>
Like a regular unicorn. Except with a humanoid corpse hanging off of its horn, head impaled by the horn. It's kept fresh by the restorative properties of the horn, which is also used to make it talk like a ventriloquist's dummy.

As for the dehorning, if it can't be regrown and it causes loss of magical abilities, it'd be effectively crippled and it'd depend on the unicorn in question.

If it still retains its magical power, I don't see why it won't just replace it with a fake horn. Or a shiv. Or a wand. Or some horrible combination between a shiv and a wand.
>>
>>43959999
+2 to Scottish Kiss damage.

But seriously, it'd depend. Where are they from? As with every thread asking questions like this, it depends on the place they live and where in the food chain they are. Usually, they live in the forest and are ridden by the fae. To convert them into humanoids, they'd probably be quite humble and may be natural workers or slaves for the higher ranking fae beings.

As workers, they probably do a lot of lower class work; builders, masons, farmers, all those things. They're the fae version of the working class. Some individuals with stronger magic would probably end up working in hospitals, having a natural talent for it and all. They'd probably be the elitists who only breed with others who qualify as healers and doctors and such, for eugenics, you monster.

If you're wondering about black market influences, do their horns already get sold on the black market? Probably a decently potent ingredient in a healing spell, so yes, probably.

>Would one of them rather die than live without a horn?

Would you kill yourself if you lost an arm? This is pretty much the extent of it. It'd depend on the individual. If it was an elitist about magic, maybe, unless they were incredibly potent with their magic, in which case, they'd be used for breeding purposes. The rest, maybe, maybe not.

But that's my 2 cents.
