Would you play/run a game in Bayonetta's setting if given the chance?
Fucking hell yes.
>>44469495
Okay, let's say I haven't played Bayonetta.
What's your elevator pitch?
What sort of characters can I play other than Bayonetta herself, and what sort of adventures would PC's in this setting get up to?
>>44469495
No.
I think Anarchy Reigns is more suited to group play.

I need ideas for monotheistic religions (or atleast religions which only worship one god and hold them above all others they recognise as existing) in fantasy settings, which aren't just Christianity by another name.
Or, more specifically, I'm trying to think of what domain a god of a monotheistic religion would embody, so they're not just an omnipotent Abrahamic God. I'm trying to think of domains which would be a real driving force behind civilisation: something which has lifted a civilisation out of the dark ages and mdae it prosperous in comparison...

You could easily combine sun with agriculture and harvest. Even smithing and warfare, base it all around a theme of fire and warmth.
On that note, you could go the Prometheus direction, where they are but one god among many, but the only god on the side of the people. Or you could go with old school Yahweh who was just better than everyone else and only gave a shit about his chosen people. Or you could take all that and combine it.
Also give some consideration to what those people value. If they are crafters/artists, their god is a creator and artist himself, if they...

The sun was often used as a symbol of the christian in some cases for that very reason.
I'd say it depends on the culture itself. To a more simple people, a god of fire would be enough. It's clearly vital for survival by giving warmth and preparing food, but its mechanics and nature might be a little more unknown to them.
To the more advanced people who casually make and tend to fire or casually handle it with torches or lantern their god may be ruler of the sky because the sky is a great looming...

Easier way to say that is "Henotheism"
You have always wanted to be an emperor. That ambition has burned dimly in the past, tempered by reality. Now the opportunity to realise your ambition has arrived and you are determined not to let it slip. Now is the time to build your empire and become an emperor.
Last Thread: You are the mercenary spellblade Saul Waise, in command of a mercenary company that is currently seizing a large amount of territory in the hopes of forming an empire. Last thread you advanced on the encampment of the vampire general Volante and are preparing for an assault.

You stood around Cormann’s temporary battle map with your officers. Ser Lynn, Gnome and Captains Malaine, Jirou and Moss were joined by the Vitrian Grandmasters Toren and Lucas. The map itself was a piece of canvas with important details painted onto it, most particularly the division of the enemy forces. The tent was still illuminated with torchlight as the sun had only barely began to peek out from the horizon and your men were readying themselves for an assault right after dawn broke.
“There’s two...

The question, you say mentally to yourself as your earlier speech sinks in, is which camp to hit. Before you can say anything, Gnome jumps in.
“There’s still more risk available, if we care to take it,” she says. “If we hit the mage encampment and do well, we’ll surely cripple Volante’s ability to advance south. He simply won’t have the numbers or magical ability to assault a city or fortress with strong magical defences.”
“But he’ll still hold everything in Vitria north of Vale...

>>2. Play it safer and go for the mage camp. You’ll still need to hold off Volante and his counter-attack, but you should be able to do enough damage and pull out. Success here will end his campaign but leave him in control of the northern territory unless you take a big risk.

Whats a good number of playable races to have in your setting /tg/? Do you feel more races creates a more diverse world and allows for more choices in character creation or do you feel that more races just clutters things up and starts catering to special snowflakes. I'd like to hear some people's opinions.

I just got a couple of these for Christmas. I was planning on making a chapter of space marines but I couldn't decide on a name or color scheme
So far I like hellfire angels or brimstone Angels either way I want to make the power armor a crimson red color with a silver lining across the trimming.
>>44467124
>Red
Don't, it's over-used and looks horrible on vehicles.
>>44467221
Got a recommendation? I've considered "Templars of steel" and following through with a generic metallic silver or even a darker platinum color.
>>44467124
brown would make a nice colour desu, chocolate marines or something lol

I'm the GURPS GM.
I say no to your game-breaking character.
So /tg/, what are some wargame mechanics that draw your attention? Ones that you like, ones that you hate, ones that you think almost do it right?
And to get it out of the way, no TLOS fighting. Absolute TLOS is shit, area terrain rules help TLOS, etc, etc.
>>44465963
Card mechanics in addition to dice.
Can add a lot of detail that would otherwise be awkward to resolve.
>>44468733
Cards used for things like objectives and random encounters is a nice addition.
I also remember older editions of Confrontation had modes where you used unit cards to determine activations.

How do you guys feel about 'zoneing'?, sorry about the tape measure and will entirely and have a movement based on which square they occupying the map?
a few games dead zone dust tactics do it.
I'm sure we've all been there at one point or another: There is a game that you haven't tried before, and it catches your eye just right. But upon getting into it, the magic vanishes in the blink of an eye, and you're left with a game that you regret spending your time and/or money on.
What do you regret getting into, /tg/? It can be anything - from minis, to CCGs, to RPGs.
I liked the look and sound of MERCS, but the mix of glacial relelase schedules, poorly worded/tested rules, and very limited playerbase has doomed the game to paperweight status.
Golem Arcana
Gorgeous models, fun premise, but I can't get anyone into it, and using an app makes things more fiddly than I care for.
At least the models are nice to look at...

MTG, Mechwarrior: Dark Age, pretty much any game with random boosters.
I have an uncanny ability to pull garbage nobody wants.
Same boat with you.
I also regret infinity. The game is just fucking tedious at every step. My painting skill isn't high enough to do any justice for the models, rules are incredibly bloated, no one has done any support for android users for ease of army creation. I thought it was going to be sci-fi tabletop Valkirya Chronicles, but it ended up being a bookkeeping nightmare.
Right now infinity models are collecting dust and one day I will get few stuff I have to be my magnum opus of my painting.

>THE ABC WARRIORS HAVE FAILED!
While Nemesis the Warlock pursued his son across space and time to fifteenth century Spain and a confrontation with Tomás de Torquemada, Grand Inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition and former incarnation of his archenemy, Torquemada of Termite, the ABC Warriors quested deeper into the labyrinth of time tunnels at the heart of Terra. There, they hoped to find and repair the damage to the legendary Black Hole Bypass, a system of captive black holes that made interstellar travel possible for the humans of the...

Note on OP pic:
Lemmy was not only a fan of 2000AD, but before he was in Motorhead he was in a 1970s progressive psychedelic space rock band named Hawkwind. Hawkwind’s inspirations included Michael Moorcock (who was actually in the band at one point!), whose Elric books basically invented the eternal conflict between Chaos and Order and the Eight Pointed Star as the symbol of Chaos. Nemesis had its roots in the pop rock and punk of late 70s early 80s, and drew on a lot of Moorcockian symbolism as it...
