What's your build?
One of my players is really good at sleight of hand tricks.
Should I assume that she's cheating when she rolls really well?

Dragon Shields are better
Why does everyone think it's not viable? I've seen Krenko decks slaughter every deck he fights. Same with Kikki. Copy big ass dragons for the win. I've been thinking about making one and I'm asking for some pro and cons of mono red EDH.
Thanks :-)
>>44694940
First of all, EDH is kinda retarded, but it's all right if you like it.
If you're playing with more than 1 opponent, mono-Red's biggest problem is that it can't draw cards. It gets a lot better if you're playing on teams, though.
Red's color pie is rather limited. Artifacts are your best friend. For instance, Red Decks typically have bad longevity because they're so offense-oriented. Slap a couple Equipment that grant Lifelink or whatever to fix this. Loxodon Warhammer...

Thanks for the input. I completely agree with the life gain and card draw part. Defs would have Loxodon, Basilisk collar, and I also like batterskull. No one expects red to shoot of in life. Another good combo I saw was pairing Phosphorus with Krenko and just shitting mass goblins at 2 a pop then attack with all.
>>44694940
Because Kikki, Krenko, and Purphoros are the ONLY viable monored EDH decks, and those are all combo decks.
There's a distinct lack of variety in monored because your options are 'stupid combo' or 'roll over and die' due to a lack of longevity.
Fucking witches. Fucking Kris.
These are your first thoughts as you worm your way into consciousness.
You seem to have awakened on your back, laying in the grass. It's outside- you can tell by the sun shining on your face. Your head feels as if it is full almost to bursting, each beat of your heart seeming another twist on the vice that surrounds it. Keeping this in mind, you stay still for a little bit to see if it subsides.

After thirty beats on the drum inside your head, it's probably safe to say that the headache isn't going...

What do you think from fantasy maps which are similar to Europe?
They're okay I guess. Nothing wrong with 'em.
>>44694308
They're too similar to Europe.
For instance, the world of Drakengard, where the Union of Flippedfrance is under siege by the Empire of Notspain.
>>44694526
Literally Europe upside down

How do I do my Ecclesiarchy characters in DH right, /tg/? Where to look for inspiration?
>>44694030
Depends on what you want. There are many, many different types of religious people, even those who hold ranks in devout organizations and are fervent believers in their faith.
>The Prophet:
The Prophet seeks to go out and spread the Word of their faith through deeds and actions, often heedless of the dangers of doing so. He or she is willing to preach and amass a following in hostile environments and unfaithful cities, and sees the possibility of death or harm as being irrelevant...

This is solid advice. Don't be one of those fags that thinks all commissars are grimstupid executioners, all Sisters are dumb fire and brimstone, or all inquisitors blow up planters every Tuesday. Every group has a large number of divergent ways to think, and the Imperium is so massive that there isn't much conformity beyond Emperor = Good

Finally, the lewdest time of day has come!
Yissss
Here we go.
Just a separate thread that can be focused on discussion of the open.
What do people think of the top 8 line up?
I unfortunately wasn't able to catch day one and am pretty excited at seeing what sort of power a mainboard Keranos brings to the table in twin.
Well that was quick, turns out having both the ability to create pressure and combo out trumps better individual creatures.
Really glad Goryo's is in top 8, it makes for some interesting games. Shame Hoogland's brew lost to it but he's a faggot so screw it.
Basically I'm glad that almost half of the top 8 decks are "Tier 2" decks, shame about decks like Merfolk and Infect not showing up though.
>>44694403
Why do people hate Hoogland again? I just know it seems universal in the MTG community. I do really like Kiki-Chord desu, and this is a pretty cool top 8.

Got ripped to pieces by Mi-Go in C:DDA. Pretty much deserved it for not taking them seriously.
Not as fun as getting over 9000 Pain in the same game, though.
Just lost another Archaeologist to some soldier ants in minetown. I knew magic missile but was unskilled in attack spells, with a failure rate a 65% -- pretty decent for a spell in a school you're unskilled at. I lined myself up to cast magic missile at the ants as they marched through an alley, but failed. I realized then that I did not have enough Pw to attempt another casting. I tried run away, but you know how fast those buggers are. I tried to throw a potion of sleeping in the head ant's face, only to get caught in my own fumes and get gnawed to death before I...

I'm unfamilliar with the system, but what's the appeal of Maid RPG? You play as a maid, ie. a private housekeeper and... then what? Do you compete with the other players over who can clean the most rooms?
The point of MAID is to be as retarded as possible.
Maid RPG is a silly comedy game of over the top hijinks. It is about the anime version of maids, with everything that entails.
It's also amazingly well designed, for what it wants to do.
>>44693627
Go to suptg and look at the character generator. That should tell you what sort of game Maid is.
Lol. Fuckin hoogs getting cucked by Jew City Games.
Wait. So, Legion Supplies card sleeves are so bad, the wear down enough in 13 rounds to get you disqualified for marked cards?
>>44694708
That seems to be the case
>>44694708
Probably more than just that to be honest. I've had Legion Sleeves that don't show any marking despite using them on my commander deck.

“I can stand,” Comet mutters, groggily shaking her head while placing a hand on your shoulder to stand up.
“Are you sure?” Beth asks while holding her arm to help her stand. She looks over to Connell, who's resumed burning away the biomass. “I'm sure we can take it easy now... right?”
“I wouldn't count on that,” he answers, his body still focused forwards while his flamethrower does all the work. Ivan, Ley'ra, and Sya'ra are still standing nearby with their...

“Vents,” he explains, patting his flamethrower nozzle before fastening it to his side. “This facility has a sort of chimney system through all the floors. I suspect it was some sort of fire countermeasure to prevent smoke from choking everyone to death.”
“Neat,” you say, checking your shotgun while you prepare to go on the trek back to the floor elevator. “How's it going on the assault?”
“They're having fun, of course,” he chuckles, presumably listening in on the comms...

“Who's Bolshtik?” Beth mutters.
“Anyways, I've sent out a message to my secretary to let you know your contract has been fulfilled,” Connell says, walking towards the exit of the smoldering room. “Also, if you decide to delve down into one of the floors to explore later on, just come to me and I'll sign you in.”
“There's a sign in process?” you ask, quirking an eyebrow.
“Of course. We need to know who's down there at all times.”
“Makes sense.”

Hello, fellow Ordo Malleus Inquisitors. Welcome to our Centennial Ordo meeting.
For those who are new, or didn't attend the last Tricentennial meeting, don't shoot the Xenos witches. they are the Ulthwe and Harlequin representatives. We're hear to figure out the best way of fighting Chaos. we can kill each other later.
First order of business, is the increased Tzeentchian activity in the last few decades. Some of you have interesting ideas on how to fight it. Now if you'll open your folders to page 3 we'll begin...
>>44692843
I... Malleus? Oh, Throne.
I thought this was a meeting for the Ordo Sepulturum.
Excuse me sir, inquisitor Heimrich Singenverd here, Malfian Sub-Sector. I have a question about xenos delegates, i wouldnt like to say the H word here (we might summon our less reasonable collegues fron ordo hereticus), but should we really discuss pur weaknesses in front of enemies?
That said im really concern about demonic activities in my sub sector. It seems like demonic summoning has become much common theese days. Seriously, do they also have manuals? It is no concidence i fear
>>44693149
If it was any other Eldar, and we were dicussing any other topic, I would agree. They hate the Ruinous Powers just as much as we do, and our worlds falling to Chaos is almost as bad for them as it is for us. There is nothing to worry about.
A cool idea for a postapoc game is that if you find old bullets that either you dont have a gun for or dont work, once you start or find a fire you can melt the lead bullet itself into sling bullets. Lead bullets would provide better armor penetration then stones. Any ideas?
>>44692782
Not really
What I've been thinking about are possible gunpowder sources in a postapoc game, areas around volcanic areas would have everything for proper gunpowder, hard to ignite powder would have the sulfur replaced with an equivalent amount of extra charcoal, alternative powders can be made with paper impregnated with saltpetre, as well as proper cordite if explosives can be made.
Weapons would be similar to sharps rifles converted to flint lock to manual cartage firearms and direct blowback...
