My Weird War 2 investigators (Brits) are braving the roof of the world to find out what the Nazis discovered there 2 years earlier ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vmh4GLddGG8 ). Of course it will turn out to be a powerful supernatural threat which the Reich intents to use for winning the war in Europe. Not that things aren't looking up for them already, it's early 1942.
So far the party has discovered a monastery which was under a powerful geas after the Ahnenerbe expedition found information about their target and left a demon spike plugged into a ley line nearby to inhibit anybody near the monastery talking about the relevant topics.
The heroes discovered the thing, battled a guard entity, and were able to free the area from the device.
Then they moved on to Lhasa where the new year's celebrations were just beginning (they last weeks). Of course as foreigners they had to jump through hoops meeting with officials and gathering support for their presence there. Their secret mission was soon revealed and they got the chief of police, one of the few Tibetans fluent in English after an education in good old England, on their side.
Their Swiss travel journalist companion turned out to be a German spy. Well, they saw it coming a mile off, but they didn't have anything on him and couldn't bring themselves to just kill the guy. Anyway, they needed the advice of a revered Lama who had put the Ahnenerbe on the right trail 2 years earlier. The spy however managed to bribe/blackmail another monk into hiding the Lama under false pretenses just as the party entered Lhasa. They used documentation by a Nepalese spy to reconstruct the movements of Ahnenerbe and find the way to their secret target: Shangri-La.

What's the source on that? I know there's possible Hunter crossover depending on whether or not Monica's cool with Dave using Cherion. Honestly I'm down with Deviant serving as another kind of crossover game.
>>44704614
>serving as a *good* crossover game
ftfy
>>44704691
Well, I mean any game can be a good crossover game but, honestly if anyone's going to be hanging out with other supernaturals, Deviants would probably have pretty good reasons to.
So I've been thinking about making an entire system based on Saga. I love the way scifi and fantasy are elegantly mixed yet still their own thing. I've already got some ideas on the mechanics for this, as well as classes and skills and such. I'd like to make it simple 3.5 or pathfinder but still diverse. i know this type of thing would be a fuck to of work, and even though i'm all over doing this i'm also a lazy piece of shit, so before i put all this effort into making this i'd like to know if any of you guys think this is something you'd play.

I understood. 3.5 and Pathfinder aren't simple, they're familiar to you.
The upcoming banlist update will have a huge impact on the format and the secondary market. If you were given a choice between three different ban/unban strategies WoTC could take, which would you choose?

>Ban Summer Bloom
>Ban Goryo's Vengeance
>Ban Eye of Ugin
Only Safe Unbans:
>Ban Summer Bloom
>Unban Stoneforge Mystic
>Unban Ancestral Visions

Hello everyone! I was bored today so I wrote some random generators for population/level statistics for pathfinder.
Now we're together going to try them out and see if they foster creativity.
Essentially what happens is you put in a population number and the system spits out what people of what level/class are there!
To start lets decide what we're creating:
>Village (population 500)
>Town (population 5000)
>City (population 25000)
>Metropolis...

Only your mom, OP.

That depends on whether "extraterrestrials" includes creatures from other planes. I have a few PC races that originated on the elemental planes and ended up migrating to escape the genies.

Current BBEG is an extra-dimensional sun eating creature that splintered when landing on the planet.
It gathers energy by making suns go Supernova, to get the most energy put of them. Debating how to make it appear properly in full.

STAT THE SON OF A SHEPARD
You know OP, instead of making passive-aggressive threads about things you don't like, you should try making threads about things that you DO like.
I mean, you're not dumb. You understand that the point of a stat-me thread isn't to get a statistical representation of a character from a media property; it's to have a thread discussing that character or property on /tg/.

So, I'm working on a fantasy setting where knights are just a foreign martial tradition, much disapproved of, and there is a native martial tradition that trained warriors are part of instead.
But how do I make them different? Were the Varangian Guard, for instance, significantly different from European Knights of later centuries? Did Celts have anything similar to Knights?
>>44702167
Make the ruling class something other than the military.
>>44702214
It's priests right now, priests and hereditary clans who're a mix of military and a merchant upper-class.
But it's like a 10th-century England nation. Not quite feudal yet even.
>>44702167
The easiest thing to do would make them the exact opposite of what you'd expect from knights. Do away with the mounts, the armor, the chivalry, everything. Make them the medieval fantasy equivalent of the Vietcong, ruthless pragmatists who think that valor and honor are a good way to get killed.
That's the easiest thing. Not necessarily the best. Tell me more about this setting. I might get better ideas from that.

In real life, some countries that have the death penalty allow the convict to go free after a failed execution or a post-execution revival (in the medical sense).
How would it work in a fantasy world where killing a "helpless" captive can sometimes be very hard, and they can sometimes be resurrected even without a single trace of the body?
Depends on the setting
>314 posts about the death penalty omitted, nice one OP
By slaying them and trapping their vulnerable soul that's trying to escape. Though, that would need a dangerous vault to hold all those souls, as destroying the soul containers would just release them, ready for resurrection.
Injecting a chemical that rots the body, making those without a specific resistance to it unable to be resurrected without essentially being draugr tier rotten and dying shortly after being resurrected.
Decapitation?
Burning at stake?
