I regret my hatred of MLP. Be being so against it in the beginning, "It was a show for little girls! Grown men should be ashamed of like it!" made several of my friends watch it just to spite me. They became bronies.
Friends I knew for over a decade, since we were all 10 or 12, became bronies because I was an ass, and too vocal instead of just ignoring something I didn't like.

Ninjas; we know they're out there in Rokugan even if you can't see them (ESPECIALLY if you can't see them), but do you ever use them in-game?

Ninjas were originally the literal embodiment of metaplot in L5R; they "didn't exist" and we're "totally optional" except they were referenced all the time in the books, PC's couldn't be one no matter what, their origins were full of retcons, their powers and abilities were "secret", their backstory literally driven by the needs of the current plot (Emperor need overthrowing? Scorpion Ninjas. Empeorer gets kidnapped? Darkness ninjas. Unicorn secretly heavily infiltrated?...

And honestly I'm looking at scratchbuilding stuff for my terrain right now. I have a bunch of those instant Ramen cups that are a pretty decent size for 28mm miniatures, they'll make some pretty cool towers.
There are probably a lot of toy sets in little kid's aisles when it comes to castles and such, and with a little imagination bottles of all kinds can become scenery as well.

Never done any in game Crafting, but I tried writing up a Grand Grimcleaver that was going to have a number of Alpha Strike charms, but mostly just ended up taking some Evocations off of Hearthflame. One thought I had was for the axe to split into a spear and shield in case I needed extra defence, a throwing weapon, or if I simply felt like branching into White Reaper.
For those unaware, Smite has recently added a literal Dawn Caste character.
I just started checking out 3e. What do you guys think of the combat mechanics so far?
