Hello. I drew this. Do you draw things like this?
>>2565439
Yes
>>2565439
No, but you do what you like to do senpai. Don't let critics get you all jagged.
What is it?
I legitimately do not know where to start without overwhelming myself or taking on something that an amateur like me can't even replicate

Make studies of photographs. Start with value studies if color makes you uncomfatble

What do you guys think?
I think you need to be 18 years of age or older to post on this board, bud

Any idea to finish the background?
>>2564633
the skulls look like you're only just getting started on them. the vertebrae are completely inaccurate, and the lack of teeth (or even grooves in the mandible/maxilla where teeth once grew) makes them look unfinished too. the relationship between the skulls and the jaws is uncertain, and the cheeks/zygomatic is off as well
and for the rest of the image to look finished, you need to paint the rest of the figures, or at least fade them out rather than having them end abruptly and unresolved.
>>2564715
Thanks for yours comments! you can suggest me any colors or style to paint the background? :)
What.
Thumbnail looked like booty.
just finished looking through Vade Zapora's CA sketchbook.

what studies/exercises gave you results, and what did you do that wasted your time?
>>2564121
Stop posting retarded threads like this.
No one is going to give you an exact battle plan on how to improve. If you actually looked through his sketchbook then you'd know what he did to improve. The idea that someone could give you a way to study only things that "don't waste time" is retarded, what you study and hope to accomplish is totally based on what sort of art you want to do.
Ultimately the overall idea is very simple. In the beginning when you don't know shit you go...

Master studies. Copying my favorite artists and studying their work and how and why it works. Not a single thing have taught me more
>>2564152
I'll be a little more specific. Copying rough drawings of comic book artists have taught me a lot about figure construction.
I made this, what do you think?
please stop taking up the front page with bait that isn't even funny

The "artist" keep telling everyone in the comments it's called rotoscopy and that it require talent.
Is this how all portrait are done?
If yes, its sad as fuck
>>2565831
Couldn't even trace a fucking straight line

drawing with a mouse
anyway i cant see how this is rotoscopy
rotoscopy is used by drawing/painting directly over the photo while simplifiying the shapes for animation, so it could be translated into movement easily, and the major point is, its actually used and usable for animation.
this is just copying a photo

>Kentaro Miura, the creator of berserk made this when he was ten years old
>>2565494
I read a couple pages then skimmed a few pages later in the chapter. Immediately I called bullshit on a 10yo doing that so I looked it up and while he did make a comic for his elementary school class at age ten, the comic you linked was done in 1985, when he was 19. The comic he made at 10 has never been released publicly.
>>2565500
oh my mistake, there seems to be a lot of misinformation about the comic but I totally should of did some research before spreading it. a 19 year old making a average comic like this makes me want to kill myself less, but its still impressive
>>2565512
It's still impressive, but bear in mind he had nearly a decade of comic making by then. Hell, the comic he made at 10 apparently he did 40 volumes of. He started using inks and professional techniques in middle school. So he had a ton of drawing experience and mileage by the time he was 19.
what levels of autism must one obtain to draw pic related at least twice a day

The trick of showing a detailed background in the first panel is well known: notice how in the other panels they're floating in some white space, no more chairs and tables, no floor, stairs and columns all dissapeared. This is an elegant solution but don't abuse it.
For the main panel, my bet would be on Google SketchUp for the stairs and chairs, would also save time.
Even then, it's probably taking quite some time, I think most comic book artist are supremely patient to draw the same dudes again and again for hundred of pages.

>free ones don't work on CC, the ones that do are, in fact, not free
I'm going full jew here and not going to pay for a goddamn color wheel plugin. I'd prefer to learn how to code and make one myself, then again that's literally inventing the wheel *badum...

What does /ic/ thinks about the Hockney-Falco thesis, and the documentary Tim's Vermeer ? The ones who pretend that classical paintings are sooo damn realistic, that they were probably made with a camera obscura and other optic devices...
>>2561217
I don't have time to detail all this right now, but the documentary made a pretty good case, from a scientific POV.
In particular, Tim predicted based on his experience that some lens distortion should happen at some places in the picture.
The other argument is the rate of decay of light, which cannot be observed by the human eye with the accuracy of Vermeer's paintings.
They did happen in Vermeer's picture.
Many paintings at the time did have some photorealistic backgrounds,...

>The other argument is the rate of decay of light, which cannot be observed by the human eye with the accuracy of Vermeer's paintings.
>They did happen in Vermeer's picture.
That whole part was bullshit. You can observe the falloff of light. If you paint it a singular tone it will be obvious that it should be getting darker and it will look off. Knowing even basics of light theory will allow you more easily observe subtle value shifts too.
