thats not photorealism.

They could still use models, anonymous.

That's not photorealism anyway. A competent artist could draw something at that level of detail from imagination with enough practice.

1. Pick a theme and story for an area
2. Create the normal not weird enemies you would first encounter
3. Creat the harder/ weirder/ darker enemies
4. Make the stronger almost mini bosses of area.
6. Create the boss of the area.

Feel free to come up with a rolling game to go along with this.

Everyone, every site, every video praises this game. They love the graphic style above all.

BUT

What about the extreme chromatic aberration? Why nobody says a thing? The moment you post a picture with chromatic aberration on /ic/ they bash on you.

At the end /ic/ just makes a product for its own taste. "Not enough loomis, not enough shit". The rest of the world doesnt care about this stupidity.

Making this infographic right now. Help me out here /ic/. Is there something I'm forgetting? Do you agree with the pros/cons and prerequisites? I'm not equally experienced for all of these obviously. Important questions bugging me atm:

-Do you think 3d should have different categories (for instance: modelling, 3d illustration, archviz, sculpting ?).
-How would I add animation? Differentiate between trad animation and 3d animation?
-Do you guys think visdev for animation should have it's own section?
-Add teaching locally? Drawing instructor for...

851 KB,
Beginner question

Ive always worked using traditional methods and now Im moving to digital art. Now Im using CSP.
Ok, here is the question, I mainly work on character design, which is the "correct" or usual or most confortable way for :

>You have your nude base character.
>I Want to add variations (clothes, poses, accesories) over him.
>I want to have it in the same drawing, not like the related picture. So if I press the 'trousers' layer, it appears that and viceversa.

I tried doing so, but when I add a new layer -for example skirt-, do I have to recolor in the background color for erasing and then redraw the skin?

Is there any tutorial or something? Tips, etc

Thanks in advance /ic/

>>
>>2559657
No. That's what layers are for, so you don't have to do that. Just use the eraser tool, it will only erase the layer your working on.
>>
>>2559667
But for example, if I create skirt layer, I cant erase body layer inside skirt layer. The lines are disabled.
So thats why I have to paint the lines in the background color.

Is it that they have skill and creativity or is it that they can replicate an image. Also that they base their skills on the fact that they can do this and only this and not create something from their own head. I just think there is more to art than just replicating an image especially when it is a celebrity image.

Please disregard the perspective / construction elements, I wasn't focusing on drawing. Just wanted a setup where light sources overlapped.

the gradients in the sky and on the ground are too soft to represent the light source casting the leftmost shadow
>>
>>2559754
You mean the candle's falloff? I just used a circular gradient for that, all I wanted to find out was the interaction between the colors. The part of the ground that isn't illuminated by the red light looks weird to me, color-wise.

I like it from a purely abstract aesthetic.

Keep in mind that the monetary value of an image is not the same as the quality of the painting. Things like politics, money laundering, bidding wars, historical context, name branding etc all come into play.

The Mona Lisa is the most valuable painting in existence but it's only worth as much as it is because it has the perfect storm of a history behind it and it has entered a pop icon status.
