I'm a student and I'm planning to start cooking next semester
My question is, what sort of knife should I get? I want to save money and I don't have unlimited space, so I don't want to get an entire set. I was thinking just getting one or maybe two. Are there good multipurpose knives out there? Could a single knife potentially fulfil all your cooking needs? I will mostly be cooking simple, cheap vegetarian things. I won't be needing a cleaver, a serrated knife or anything like that. I don't want to spend much more than about £20
Get an 8 inch Forschner Chef Knife.
I like the wood handle ones but plastic is ok too.
They last a lifetime and the knife used most in a kitchen is the Chef Knife. 8 inch the most common size

Either way, go for a chef's knife of some sort.
I use an 8 inch chefs knife for 90% of things. It's also nice to have a paring knife sometimes and a victorinox/forschner one is like $5

Currently drinking this. Absolutely gorgeous American style IPA from Britbongland. Fruity and piney, way too drinkable for the ABV.

Pressure Drop is a decent brewery, never been blown away by their stuff, but I haven't had that many varieties.

I've had some of their stuff before and it's been pretty decent, but this was a lovely surprise.
I know those feels brah. I tend to take a few days off of beer a week, and if drinking in the week it would be one max (unless at a pub etc.).

What kinds of wild/exotic animal meats have you eaten?
I've had a moose burger before and it was amazing. It did have a bit of beef in it to hold it together because moose is lean. Or so I was told.
